I love this song so much. Oli has stated that some of it has to deal with addiction, one of which is device/social media addiction and how it can take over your life. He also expresses fighting your inner demons to find self love and that you are not your brain and the things it may say to you, as well as the pain and destruction that happens around you in the world and everyday life. Another major theme in this song is the mention of the horrible ketamine addiction he used to have. He even mentioned for this song that it shows how much his bandmates helped him through it, so your analysis, Dallas, was spot on. A lot of their songs lyrically bring about the theme of his drug addiction. I find a lot of their music very relatable when it comes to this topic, and it’s inspiring to know his story and the progress he made over the years to overcome it. I’ve always seen Oli as an inspiration, even though his lyrics can be very dark. Sometimes it takes that experience of darkness though to see the light.
I saw you reacted to Amen on stream after I'd left, can't watch it on the playback though because of copyright. Hope it didn't traumatise you too much 🤣 Hope to see it on the channel one day.
Hey Dearden!! Glad you could make it the other night, even just for a little bit😊 You should be able to watch it on twitch now as none of the stream is muted anymore (and then we will likely post the whole stream later this week to YT). All I'll say is the video was...interesting haha! We got some more BMTH coming out this week too! -Dallas
It was nice having you in the chat for a bit! I can’t lie I was a little concerned about them reacting to it given the lyrical content and the meaning behind it but I think maybe the video distracted from it lol the video is definitely pretty wild, but a fun one imo.
Fun fact, they incorporated an elephant sound in the song. You first hear it at the beginning about 5 seconds in lol
Hahaha yess😂
My favorite BMTH song. it's so good.

To this day Sempiternal is my favorite album by them. I also think There Is a Hell… is one of their most underrated albums.
