- Back to finish the trommel build!!! In this video I show how I build my sluice boxes with a easy and simple design. Having a lot of adjustable features and even changeable to each side of the trommel adds versatility to the unit for setup in any site. I run Gold Hog in my wash plants because they are quick and easy to clean out and last years of abrasion and abuse miners give them. If you have any questions on the matting please visit there site, they have a huge amount of information about them along with the many mat types they sell.

Thanks 50 KAL. It is fun making videos like this. I always don't have time to do it on each video. Having a 2 week deadline to make a video can be hard sometimes.
That poor man's break is pretty slick!
It works very well. Only way I found to keep the thinner 1/8th metal not to warp and make the corners perfectly straight.
After watching some of your videos, I can only say that you are blessed with the ability to visualize... I get my ideas from dreams. Many blessings!

Haahah thanks, I had that scene planned for a while. Turned out alright but took a lot to figure out on the editing software.

@Mr007troy Thanks 007. Right now I don't sell pay dirt but may in the future. Dan hurd may still have some paydirt available from his visit in 2022. I sold all my cleanup from that video to him. It's really nice gold, 91% purity ( highest in our province) and doesn't have a whole lot of fine gold.

Hey Phil. I have a hard time asking for thumbs ups and subscriptions for some reason on my videos . I'm in no rush to grow the channel since I would like to make my videos better before a lot of people come visit the channel. Sounds very wierd I'm sure hahhaha. Thank you though for the suggestion. Once I'm out at the site I'll start doing it though.

Great video, you've got skills, the channel is going somewhere for sure! I like the water distribution gate at the top, I'll have to try that out on my shovel in unit.
I don't understand the two side gates to direct water flow from side to side, is that just there to balance the flow evenly from side to side if it drops down from the tromel unevenly?
Thanks Kyle! Those gates work very well, they would work great in a highbanker to stop the pulsing every time a shovel full was thrown in. When meterial comes put.of the screen it naturally wants to go straight to the backside of the sluice and not take a 90° turn. Those adjustable wings will guide the metetial to the center of the box.

What thickness of steel tubing and playr do you like to use
Hey Rod, I used 3/16 piping for the surrounding of the sluice and 1/8 plating for the box itself.
I hope those welders don’t start a union on you!
