in real life, they fall front first too. i had this happen to sonmeone in a corridor of a bus and being a woman it was hard to move him around as he was a dead weight and there was no space to move him into recovery position, This made me panic as First Aid videos only have one type of fall where you have plenty of room and patient is face up. This is not how all falls are In the end the patient got up as fainted and was taken to hospital where he has been diagnosed with bradycardia and has to have a pacemaker
@@zaynthomson9312 no, danger of suffocation is biger than risk of spinal injury.. In that case you need 2 persons, one to do this recovery position and one to secure that head does not move (head must stay in neutral position)
She isn’t squashing her heart! You position someone on their side to protect their airway. If she was heavily pregnant, you would put her on her left hand side to prevent the baby putting pressure on the mother’s major blood vessel. If she had severe core body injuries, you would place them on their injured side
I’m going into paramedic school so this really helped! Thank you
Thank you for refreshing my practical knowledge ❤

what do you do if they have a spinal injury?
I think you leave them in their original position because it could injure them even more if you move them

How do we know unconscious persona has a spinal injury???
@@balkrishnagaire8663just a guess. It’s safer to follow the recovery position procedure in my opinion
Mechanism of injury
Thankyou
To the right or left side?
Better on her left but depends. What would you do If she got injured on her right hip or leg? We should check whole body first for injury.
She should be on her right side otherwise she is squashing her heart
@@Grom268right side
if you mean which way to roll them you would roll them towards you
On which direction we should role them?
Roll them towards you
Surely that’s the wrong side, she is squashing her heart, she should be on right side
