KEVIN B you can make the bebop 1 alike bebop 2 also you can get bigger batteries for b1 and the camera is the same i have b2 camera on b1 .I do t see a big + on b2 motors the consume alot more.They say they are power saving but is not i made a benchmark test back home with them.
Without a doubt...its still the best performing quad I have... 21 to 23 minutes flight time every time I fly. Its automated features still blow my mind. I like it even better than my Phantom 3 Standard.
@@TommyDrone what really sucks is that my B2 just simply fell out of the sky yesterday...about 275 feet away and 100 feet up....used maps and everything to find it...no such luck...it fell onto very ,very thick brush...even used my P3 to try to find it...no luck.😕

Thanks for asking: The Parrot bebop 2 has a 18-20 minute flight time; however , the Bebop 1 has a flight time of only 10-12 minutes and this video starting at 90% ending at 20% with a 2500mah battery got 9 minutes on the B1. The point I wanted to make is the extra battery weight and power had little effect on the flight time of the B1. The B2 did far better with 18 minutes with the stock battery. The one thing that is obvious here is that the 2500 battery on the Bebop 1 is HEAVIER, so it has to pack more weight than it was designed for. Plus the weight (load) to thrust ratio is higher for the Bebop 1 than the Bebop 2. Then there is the fact that I can get 15 minutes out of my Bebop 1 with it's original battery, so for the 2500 battery to only produce 9 minutes, is not a sale for me on that battery, nor the Bebop 2. What I want to see Parrot do is, give me 25 minutes or more of flight time, with 4K capability, THEN, DON'T NICKLE AND DIME ME with the 'in app purchases" when MOST of the competition is just GIVING you this capability from the Get-Go! Nice idea, but not sure about the execution. Just do a simple Bebop battery versus Bebop 2 battery in their respective drones. My question still is: does the Bebop 2 warrant a purchase over my aging Bebop 1? If battery life is still just 5 minutes more, then no. 10 minutes even might not make a difference. 4K and 10 minutes more, than YES! Still liked the vid, though.
I agree with you 100%. Even before someone did this test, the writing was on the wall. As a cheap syma flier up to this point, everyone knows that loading up heavier batteries does not equate to a proportional amount of flight time. I would have expected only about a 25-50% flight time improvement on the bebop 1, and that at the cost of more wear on the motors. If you are going to load a bigger battery, a larger set of props on the bebop 1 would have at least been more of a fair comparison. That would have allowed the bebop to run its motors a little slower.

Hi Ziblot, for this video I was actually going for flight time. The goal was to see if I could increase the flight time of the B1 to match the B2. I shot the video in my house just because I thought it would be cool to see. Looking back a more reasonable video should have been to do flight time comparisons of the drones individually and then compare the results. In the future that's probably what I'll do too. However, for this video it was mostly because I wanted to fly two drones in my house and I figured a flight time test would be fun.
A very unfair test the bebop 1 is not going to do well with that battery, it is to heavy for it, it makes it use more power to keep the weight up.. next time do a fair test.
The point of the contest is to see if the bigger battery would allow the B1 to come close to having a longer flight. I always knew the B2 would win. The other thing is the bigger battery made it much harder to control the B1 and the battery didn't have an even discharge. Tommy Drone dunno what to say about djy products you need registration an bla bla and there are alot of drones better in value and performance.I mean b2 is comparable with phantom 3 plus i under 1.5kg and you dont need registration or any approval from law enforsments.

Go try the DJI Spark and you will surprise how good its hover. Just stay in like rocks! Even better than Bebop 2.

Spark has less flight time. Costs more as well.
the compass on the spark sucks, it does the "toilet bowl" effect every time it gets near metal.
