I think that Darren Bent is in the 100 club - players who have scored over 100 goals in the Premier League.
90% of the Championship has been in the Prem, hardly a big pull to go back to Goodison. Going down is never good. Look at Leeds, Forest, Blackburn, Bolton etc etc etc. It can be a never ending nightmare.
As a Leeds fan…. I can safely say it could be completely disastrous for Everton to go down

Add the other 6 points, and then you bring another 4 clubs into your statement. Everton are a huge club. Founder members and the longest serving team in football in the amount of years in the top flight. People seem to forget who Everton are.
EFC offer the same as most clubs in the league, I think a few bitter fans want them to lose their record of never going down from the Prem

the leagues newest stadium but not the best. Spurs's stadium is still far superior as firstly its in london and secondly they have all the NFL retractable pitch stuff and deal with the NFL and im not even taking into account all the concerts, go karting track and other stuff. Im not sure what the new Everton stadium will offer except for more seats for Evertonians and some better food?

Two seasons of being near relegation fight does not mean you are always there! Can the media stop saying we are a nothing club and just about survive. This year is bad due to the deduction. Stay up and we might be mid table next year.
It could be argued (not by me, incidentally) that Everton would have only been in 12th or whatever BECAUSE of the spending that got them the points deduction...
It could also be argued they should of had the point deduction and of been relegated last season

As a Villa fan I enjoyed our couple of years in the championship, allowed us to rebuild, few great away games, good priced tickets, got us back to winning games again, was better than getting spanked every week, might do them world of good aslong as they don’t get marooned down there

@@Stophrahit's hard to stay motivated when you lose 10 points. We've had bad luck and horrible referee decisions on the pitch as well.
Everyone is just waiting for the points to be returned from the way the hearings are going as the punishment is being disproportionate.

Relegation can be a good reset point for some of teams, just look at Villa, West Ham, Newcastle, Fulham etc…
You lose a lot of players that aren’t hungry for a fight, often you’ll bring in players that want to be at the club and not simply because they are a stepping stone, it’s a good chance to try and trim the bloat on the squad, players gain confidence and you can build momentum
It’s also a really good humbling exercise and resets any expectations
Considering they played in the champions league 2005, they definitely offered the premier league something then, to qualify. Bents career offered little to anyone, the only thing he will be remembered for was the beachball goal

We have been deducted 10 points for trying to be ambitious
Without the -10 we’re sat above Fulham on 30pts which is ok… but I do know that the way they play is horrific to watch but can’t discredit this season too much when it comes to points. Also the past 3/4 years has been bad for us financially due to the new amazing stadium, once we move into the new stadium I feel we will be looking more towards the top than the bottom where we have been. We didn’t have the investment for the new ground like other teams did, and it is extremely costly
Everton may do well from relegation renew the club refresh to young players I think it might oddly work out
Trust me these guys should watch the 46 game season from start to finish in the championship. What Leicester and Leeds are doing this season isn’t normal. Once you go down and players don’t want too stay it’s a problem you don’t want too have.

Im nearly 44 and never known Everton to be any good as a Liverpool supporter i hated watching Liverpool for so many years be a average team but for an Everton fan it must be so hard to keep watching every season
Must have got in to football late then cause if you were born 1980/81 you would remember us winning the league in 1987 (1984-85 you were probably too young). 1988 we came 4th and 1989 got to another Cup Final.
It was the 1990s we seriously regressed.

@@MrJevman well know started watching football when i was about 10 but was always arsenal on the tv as my step dad supported them i didn't really know much about teams i just loved playing football got into watching Liverpool at the age of 12 and loved them ever since.

And yet we have played some great stuff, like at Spurs but without reward. So Dyche sends them out not to lose..they can do better, but he needs to take the brakes off.
On form we are 15th it's not bad I'm expecting atleast 4-5 more clubs to fall off.
We haven't had a win in 5 so in the next 5 even if it's 3 draws 1 loss and 1 win we will be top 12 in form. And out of the bottom 17. If we get 5-7 points back in the hearing we're a mid table team.

Waiting in vain to see if Talksports, pundits and rest of media outside of Liverpool say what ACTUALLY is going on with Everton. The way PL are treating the club are nothing but scandalous but it ain't news until Everton are relegated for building a stadium which shoult not even be included in the PSR/FFP farse. The whole club, the players and fanbase are under more pressure than necessary because PL are dragging their feet for reasons that should have been an issue at all.
The only reason Everton can benefit from going down is getting PLs malicious vengeance and the scandalous referees of their back for a season or more which woild have been a relief in its own.

Everton holds the record for the most top flight seasons - just four seasons in the second tier since 1888. Arsenal the most consecutive seasons since they were elected into the top flight in 1919.. The league is rubbish and getting poorer and more divided. When is the media going to challenge the less than super six that are subsidised and legislated for to remain dominant. More money from international TV rights, more matches selected for TV, and as a result a greater likelihood of being able to afford the wage bill required to compete in Europe regularly, creates a £300m dividend for the few, whilst all of the small clubs (according to Little Dickie Masters) can only battle to avoid relegation each year. Let’s improve the debate,, bring in a uniform salary cap, with TV money shared evenly between the 20 teams, and the product will be better and the league more competitive as a resukt.
Has darren bent ever realised its not as easy as giving it a go once your over ffp, impossible to rebuild again and right the wrongs of poor ownership yet you mess up as a top 6 club the marketing income alone is enough to wipe it for a rebuild. we have also tried to rebuild again and deducting points for a none sport advantage is a joke fine us heavily or give us a transfer ban none of the going over ffp was down to squad its only interest on the stadium build and poor hirings and firings of managers

How many finals or semi finals you been in recently? How many trophies more than spurs do you have overall? Are your owners decent?
Answer these questions and then maybe you'll understand why Spurs are a big 6 club and Everton are fighting a relegation battle. You want top 6 status you clearly don't deserve?
