  • My Tips for Gestational Diabetes at 39 weeks pregnant and after 10 weeks of getting my diet under control. I never made another What I Ate video for gestational diabetes since I went into labor June 5th.
    Everyone will be different but here are some tips and tricks I've learned so far. Also, it is very similar to what they recommend for the pregnancy diet for everyone. Thanks for watching and I'm not a doctor or nutritionist so be sure to consult with your doctors!

    My name is Laura Laws and I started this channel because I wanted to get the word out about the ERA test (I thought it would be weird to put it on my Real estate channel). The ERA test is a biopsy they do in the IVF process to see when you are receptive to implantation. It is new and I wouldn’t be pregnant without it! My husband Phil and I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. We have 3 ragdoll cats and we are due June 10, 2018 with our first baby girl! I have shared my 2 rounds of IVF as well as weekly pregnancy updates & other baby related videos. • @magicalmomlaura

      I'm not really sure. Be sure to talk to your dr and nutritionist. I found the best thing to do is experiment with different combinations of healthy fat and protein and check your numbers to see what keeps you full and your numbers down. Good luck! It's a lot of work!

I was able to control it with diet and exercise. Don’t be too disappointed if you have to. Your placenta and hormones are out of control. They did put me on glyburide but I broke out in hives.

      Can you see if your doctor can recommend a dietitian/nutritionist? I was diagnosed last week to and they have me a number to their dietician to make an appointment. Depending on where you live, if you're in the USA and have a ShopRite grocery store near you they offer free dietician appointments through them.

    Omg I needed to see this. So emotional and feel already like I’m failing my baby. I’ve had PCOS and emotional binge eating for years. Switching that off is very hard and I feel selfish now when my sugars are high and I have a binge. I work a demanding 50 hour a week job that I’ve considered leaving because I don’t have time to even eat or check sugars half the time. Any tips for meals on the go would be super helpful.

    • @magicalmomlaura
      @magicalmomlaura  6 років тому +3

      Sarah it is hard to switch over to eating small meals. It can add a lot of anxiety but it will get easier once you get going. I’m a vegetarian so meals to go was more difficult. I would recommend meal prep. Greens and protein. So if you aren’t a vegetarian you can do grilled chicken breast and broccoli or something like that.
