Dood - you are absolutely killing me. I had a nice short list of things to do to my C6 to prep it for light track use. And now, I have this HUGE list, thanks to you. C'mon man. Seriously though, great video. I sub'd.
I installed a C6 Z06 shifter in my C5 Z06 and I noticed a huge difference, I was going to go aftermarket but I found a great deal and I still noticed a huge change with it from the factory shifter. Thanks for all of the notes Brax, lots of great information! Stay safe!
I just installed some Alden coilovers on my C6. HUGE difference on the track. Hitting a bump at 110+ no longer feels like the car is about to flip over. Great video - thanks for sharing. (Also, $550 for FOUR tires?! WOW.)
I just got a C5 not a Z06 but omg thanks for this helpful checklist and for putting ALL the parts in the description. Liked and subscribed- also jealous of how close you got stationed to such a famous race track.
Hi I have a '11 Vette coupe, bought last June and have enjoyed driving it all over the hill country since I got a hold of it. Just rolled 69k. I'm doing a track day next month and recently had it teched for the event at SoulSpeed here in Austin. You had a bunch of great mods in this show and I'm specifically looking to upgrade the wheel's tires first as recommended here. Thanks for the great info..
Thats awesome tracking these cars are so fun! Make sure to double check all your fluids and consider doing a fresh bleed with high temp brake fluid. Enjoy yourself
One more thing is an accusump or oil accumulator. The C5 have a design flaw in the oil pans and under heavy corners they slosh the oil which can starve your bearing lubrication. Absolute must if you track a C5 on race tires. Great car!
Haha man that the plan as long as I have content ill drop tuesday and thursday and haha I doubt anyone cares about those shoes besides you and me , you stay safe too
Body roll will be awful if you only change your run-flat tires, without changing sway bars and performance shocks. You'll get grip, but the soft sidewall will really pitch the car in a corner.
I agree with your choices! Id add better motor and trans/diff mounts. My stock motor mounts gave out already on my c6z at 50k miles, they are no bueno.
@Brax_beezy vulcan mounts from AMT motorsport. I didn’t wanna go solid cuz its hard on the motor, and didn’t want to go poly cuz even those eventually give out cuz of heat. Check them out!
Parts are all link in the description Let me know if I missed anything, honorable mentions are a oil cooler and and a after market damper like a AIT super damper
The alignment always goes fast noticed this since it a daily driver pay pep Boyz 100 for three months up cus like erry 2 weeks 3 week go check it half the time it's a lil off I got new tires but LA roads are terrible man 😆lol I'm dodging em errday lol
@@Beezy_Builds Maan I never thought about that upon purchasing a c5 I'm like the car is timeless but as I started to drive it the car goes from feeling real tight and grippy to like off every other week after the alignment so I'm careful where I drive 🚗😅🙃🙂 and where I take off at max speed avoiding pot holes road rock 🪨 pebbles due to construction 🚧 half ass jobs of cleaning it lol and those dips in the roads plus the metal plates construction leaves on the half done work 💪 los Angeles has some of the worse roads like every year they're deteriorating I didn't know that forcing me to drive my vette like a baby out here lol and stay at pep boys checking that alignment I lost count how many times in a year I've had to go there just to Check it back right out front right toe off lol terrible but worth it
Thank you Actually have a video comming of the install brother, but the right part that you click the factory belt into is attached to the actual seat rails, so when you remove the seat rail the factory belt is useless, so you have two options fabricate a new mounting point for that part or mount your seat using the oem rail like I did here
@@Beezy_Builds on those sparcos brackets are there a good amount of positions for mounting? Do you use factory belt or harness? How tall are you did you get the seat modified? Thanks man hope that's not too many questions, need some seats bad mine are blown out and don't want to get something I don't like.
If you are tracking your vette and want better life on track DBA, but if you dont mind replacing a set of rotors every few tracks days just get the cheap Ac delcos for like $30 each
14:40 minute mark - you're wrong about the camber, and it's necessary in the front because of the A-frame design and you will NEVER see an F1 car with ANY camber on the real wheels. If it is seen in any race car or any car on the street it's because of an improper adjustment ¿`_
@@Beezy_Builds I watched the video to see if I could get any advice to adjusting the washer cam for the rear wheel camber! And though this is not my first rodeo for alignments, before I get under mine, it would be nice to have a heads-up. I can't find anything on the internet or UA-cam and it looks like I may have to go in blind ¿`_
Solid video on the C5. There’s another really good source out there for C5s, 6s, & 7s. Sam Strano has been a lot of help to me setting up for a budget AutoX C5Z. Check him out if you have the time. stranoparts.com

happy to help I really like the c6z shifter also
Good list for any car, I would say particularly for the C5-C6, putting a bigger BTR cam with some long tube headers will do wonders from 4000-7000rpm
Wont argue with you there!

Good stuff. I got a separate Playlist just for videos like yours! Can't wait to enjoy my c5. Waiting on pre-purchase inspections now.
Best of luck! They are great cars
I would add sway bar and endlink upgrade

True that! Some oil pan baffles and fill one quart over along with a accusump is a good bandaid
Just picked up a 2012 C6 and this video was very informative and helpful for me deciding what upgrades to consider. Subbed!
Congrats on the pick up brother !

Been running my car at the track without the valve train mods. Call me lucky. No, call me slow! LOL

It put the power down pretty well actually. But 295 square was better
