  • I'm testing various settings to figure out how to get my best possible scans.
    expose the right? middle? left?
    light color?
    white balance?
    aperture?
    focus spot?
    image stabilization?
Did I make any progress today?
My process for testing should help you figure out your best process. I'm testing with a Leica SL2-S and Sigma 70 Marco ART lens.
    I scan/capture into Capture One.

Excellent video, very informative, gave me a lot of food for thought (for example, I'd never previously thought white balance ever made a diff!), thank you for your effort in putting it together.

Surprised me how much that mattered. If I were to remake the video, I would take my time through the WB section.

The difference is subtle to most people, but I would expose to give the greatest latitude in the important parts of the picture. In the case above, skin tones might be important, so I would expose to allow the greatest latitude in skin tones, which is Zone 6. I would be careful not to clip highlights though.
