Honestly this woman is the true definition of a vocalist - she utilizes her voice like an intricate instrument - her unique tone, her amazing control, her amazing vocal fireworks, da range, her rasp, her phrasing , her musicality is all A1 🎤🙌🏾 what singer you know can intricately weave notes like she can? Man she is bad - her lower register is crazy - her belts are so expertly placed, & clean (her MIX is flawless) & her head notes when utilize is stratospheric - Brandy is truly Da Vocal Bible - don't let me get started on her harmonies (they are Truly the best in the industry) her voice is like a orchestra .... I gotta say: Brandy is legendary vocally. Album sales aside, her vocals are in league with the most iconic vocalists of all time. Who cares what the masses buy or think? Artists of today sell music because they are the artists of today. They stand in a good place amidst the tides of the sociocultural sea, but for how long? I think Kanye said it best: 'cause they love then they hate you then they love you again...' The masses will buy whatever you music you sell them... whatever music is popular to like. But if you want to know who is truly excellent, ask their musical peers. The people who understand and know the craft. Any legitimate soul singer will tell you that Brandy is one of the top 10 female voices of all time bar none. Whether people can recognize it or not is subjective and irrelevant.

ocheezy hall I mean from a technical standpoint Brandy's runs can't even be spoken about in the same sentence as Beyoncés. Not a big fan of either but with thoroughly examining their voices it's absolutely clear that there is nothing Brandy can do that Beyoncé can't. However on the other hand there are many things that Beyoncé does that Brandy and many other vocalist would just fall short attempting.

ocheezy hall what separates Beyonce from other girls is the fact that she doesn't just do vocal runs and hit the notes. She does it with precision WHILE incorporating vocal dynamics like the messa di voce aka the most difficult feat of volume control. Her runs are MASTERFUL, touching every note as they are supposed to. Not like other singers who just throw them away and be called 'great' because in the TECHNICAL perspective, Beyonce can blow away nearly everyone as far as the pop music is concerned. And oh, you better listen to her "Sweet dreams medley" during I Am Tour to clean your ears.

Where is she weak at? I'm confused by people. There were a couple times watching this that I had to turn the volume down because Brandy was singing so powerfully. Guess I can agree to disagree but don't spread false statements. This woman's voice is not weak. Even when she is singing low as heck she has complete control and all notes are clear. That is the complete opposite of weak. LOL. Oh well. If you don't like her voice that is one thing but weak? NEVER.
