Edit: OK just finished the unboxing video and I've decided that when I grow up, I want to be like Pops. 👏👏 First bottle - Le Pin! Way to start the show off strong. Going to pour myself a glass and continue watching. Love the unboxing idea, B.
This is officially my new favorite channel on all of UA-cam. Genuine people who genuinely love wine and love sharing their experiences with all of us. There is so much more to wine than just drinking it and every episode you have created speaks to me. While it would not be possible to share an actual bottle of wine with all of your viewers, your content you put together is so special and generous of you! Can’t wait for the next episodes!
Come on people, almost 600 views and only 91 likes, it's wonderful content and they seem like great people, it's very sweet to see father and daughter share such a beautiful passion and learn together with their videos. Greetings and best wishes from Argentina. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Wine unboxing is really just like Christmas for adults, adults who love wine that is. Really enjoyed watching this and hearing why you picked them. Back-of-napkin calculation says you showed us about $45,000 worth of wines today. Just incredible. Thank you.
I was also guessing the numbers but I would not have imagined that it is so much.. Nice order and I wonder how much more of wine was added to the cellar over the last 6 months..?
It's been really fun to see all of the positive comments from the "wine lovers" community. It's obviously a shared joy among us. PS! Not sure I want to know the math......lol
You made that video of the gentleman’s wine cellar built around his dining room … we need the Our Pour Decisions full cellar tour and design explanation. That is perfect cellaring!
Loved it.. I would be looking at each case for next three weeks working out where I would put these.. love the boxing method.. here in Western Australia and Oz in general. Just cardboard during cartage. Love the foam set up in yours..
I really enjoy your videos. Not too serious, plenty of great wines to critique with some great background info/ graphics. I was wondering if you will do a deep dive on Super Tuscans ( i presume this has been asked before). Perhaps a blind tasting of Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Flaccianello della Pieve Tenuta Fontadi, Massetino/ Masseto, Solaia, Redigaffi Tua Rita. Vintage wise I would go with your gut. 2021 is shaping up to be an incredible year (and I am fortunate to have obtained a view of these)- but too young to show off just yet :)
I definitely share the joy of unboxing wine deliveries, although my preferred way of purchasing wine is to go to a nice wine store. Seeing the Pingus gave me two ideas for a future video: 1) Danish winemakers. Frank Cornelissen's Etna Rosso wines have cult status. I'm sure there are one or two more out there that you can find. 2) Iconic Spanish wines. Add Vega Sicilia Unico and LdH Viña Tondonia Gran Reserva to the Pingus and you're good to go. Marqués de Murrieta Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva could also be an option.
Loved the video and wow some amazing wines. I collect all of the Napa cult wines ! I get all of my allocations at this time as well but yours are of old vintages. You must of purchased all of this at auction or from dealers. The wineries do not sell these at this time unless they are offering their Library wines. Anyway great wines, fun video and beautiful cellar.
I can so relate to this video as I've been receiving my shipments from Burgundy and Saint Emilion currently. I've received 48 out of my 54 bottles so far of mostly burgundian whites and reds. Great choice in the 2005 Brane Cantenac! I just drank it about a month ago and it drank incredibly well, better than the 1995 Chateau Mouton and 1995 Chateau Haut Brion that I opened around the same time. That Chave should be drinking well right now also. Enjoy!
Where have you all been??? I get the exact same way as my bottles arrive now, to Florida. I was also looking around the cellar and man, your dad has some exquisite taste in wines. Was fun to see the boxes. Fun video.
I fully feel your excitement, I always have the same when boxes are arriving 🎉🎉 ! They come here more regularly than once every while in big shipments 😂. But love to see how happy you get when you see the bottle. Fully understand it !!
Living vicariously through you all! As you probably know Wine Spectator's top 100 Wines comes out in a few days. Obviously a little below what you all usually drink, but a fun video might be trying out the top 10. I plan on buying 4-5 bottles out of the top ten to make a fun night out of it with friends.
I always look forward to the WS Top 100. There are several channels that do a really nice job at reviewing the wines. I would say that many of the wines are not even close to ready for consumption when the list is first published. Imagine trying the Argiano, Lynch Bages, Pichon, or Dunn from the '23 Top 10 upon release - they would be tannin-monsters. I'll let Stacey judge those wines! :-) - Pops
I enjoyed the unboxing. Always look forward to your videos. I get when you said you might never open the first release Harlan. I love the collecting part of our hobby
Love the unboxing video, unboxing is one of the best parts of collecting wines! 2000 from the right bank is an amazing vintage - I have 2 cases of 2000 Lafleur, such stunning wines... just starting to open up, still have 50-60 years ahead imo
I guess I was as excited as you … what‘s next? … oh, Pichon Lalande … 😊 I like your passion for wine and although you have bottles a lot of people can never try, you never appear snobby. Charming, polite … I like to see more of you 😃 Greetings from Switzerland
Fantastic video! Guys keep just focusing on wine taste, those are the best videos. No beer, cocktails or other drinks, just wine. Recommendation: you have review Toro wines from Spain. And Gigondas from France, those 2 are the most undervalued wines in the world, but are crazy good! Also review Australian, e.g Standish Lamella Vs Penfolds Grange (both are 100 pointers but way diferent prices). Cheers from Switzerland ;-)
Amazing they hold the wines for you for that timeframe and at night 😮.. great video and get some more Aussie wines to review soon. Also would be amazing to see our deliveries have the foam casings.. Do you know what temperatures they are reduced too at all?
This channel is so much fun, I always look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work! Also, if you ever need help drinking any of these bottles, I'm happy to volunteer my services!
Just a shout out from South Africa to say I’m loving this channel! If you want to introduce a bit of variety I’d love to hear your review of some of South African fine wines (mostly Syrah and Chenin based). Specifically: Sadie Columella Sadie Palladius Alheit Magnetic North Mullineux single-terroir Syrah Esp for the Sadie wines at least 7-8y old! Also 2015 Kanonkop Paul Sauer for one if the best Can Sauv blends ever to come out of the Southern Hemisphere 👍
Lived in LA in 1985 and walked into Liquor Barn -- maybe Long Beach? -- before computers were invented -- and there were two bottles of '82 Pichon-Lalande for 19.95 each. Hand sticker-priced. Walked them right up to the checkout counter. Kept my lips pressed tight. Probably doesn't say too much for my moral scruples at the time. They probably should have been 49.95 or 69.95.... can't remember, just remember going "whoah!!!!" Picture me with big eyes.
Loved the 2001 vintage for Napa Cabs as they had Power. Then the 2002 vintage arrived with all that Complexity. Though I scored the vintages the same, they were so different. I started loving the 2001s and then after a few years, preferred the 2002s. A few years ago, someone mentioned that the 2001s were really drinking well. I didn't have any more so I don't know about that. Look forward to your tastings.
Yeah, both great years. Most of the Napa wines from those two years are probably nearing the end of their drinking windows. Still some great, age-worthy wines out there though.
I'm looking for some right now. Two years ago I sold about 500 bottles, many of them Italian wines. I wish I had some of them now that we're doing the videos.

Old ports can be fantastic and we just love having a small glass in the evening during winter months. 1946 - wow! Lucky you indeed.
I stop at twenty year old port as the wine gets too soft for me if I try a thirty or forty year old, and also a lot more expensive.
