As someone who designs handbags, that's a tell tale sign of poor design, if it's impractical to close/open while maintaining sufficient security. The ideal bag should be convenient for the user to enter and close, but safe enough so a thief does not have easy access to it: think magnetic snaps, zippers, and turn locks are of great practical design, etc. I find it a bit silly to want a bag only to wear it the opposite the way it was intended. But of course, to each their own. I just think the overall design is very poorly thought out 😅

Jane Birkin made them cool, hence their name and so Hermès decided to sell them like they were rare diamonds. Yes the color of the D U P B A G Y is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

My favorite bag is the one I thrifted for $1 2yrs ago. It's just a simple water-resistant cloth and I could stuff my things and even groceries in it. Sooo lightweight! 😊

I like the Birkin like the original designer used it. She used it daily, full of papers, books, and stuff, open and utilitarian. I'd wear the crap out of it, and use it for what it was made for, a busy woman with work to do!
The way I find using my Birkin bag to be more user friendly is being born into no income bracket close enough to be able to buy one. I’ve found that to really help with this particular issue.
I'm going to make it a point to avoid that Birkin Bag crap for the rest of my life.
