Is John teaching the 'Christians can commit sins unto death and just merely confess it and pick up where they left off? Most Professing Christians seem to think so. But what is he really saying.

holdingfirmly It is amazing to me how utterly difficult it is to get anyone to THINK beyond this "we're not under law, we're under grace" mantra. And I'm not talking about Calvinists here, either. At least not professing Calvinists anyway. Repeatedly it is argued that the law was "done away with" and we're now "under grace" as if God's grace excuses ALL future judgment of wrongdoing. Their reasoning is that because the Old Covenant was "of the Jews" and that the New Covenant does not have a "written law" so therefore...it has NO LAW. Lawlessness... Amazing...and grievous beyond consideration.

It is absolutely fierce the throat-cutting the personal Wars against each other. the online LIVE hour ling discussions they have attacking each other like it's an Armageddon between the little so-called Christians on UA-cam. it is unbelievable. And now a lot of them that call themselves pastors and have their little Cults, like this guy named Anderson of FWBC in Az., they're at each others Backs, like it's literally a shooting match Gangland Style. Truly YHVH has Pulled OUT his peace on these peoples souls and lives. And they're all manifesting literally hating and attacking and assaulting any shred of obedience to the word. I now know why for the last 5 years I have literally seen with my eye and felt in my spirit that I am in a "ghost town" in the community that called a self Christianity especially when I get anywhere near people on the internet.

Sometimes I feel I should take my tent and go live in the wilderness. I've been doing pretty decent resisting the devil but the temptation around me never stops. I've also noticed no one wants to talk to me anymore. They just mock me. I wish there were some place i could go and be with fellow Christ followers.

I am a sinner, I admit it, but I feel my conviction and I suffer of it daily. I wasn't thinking about God, when I was asleep today? When I was at work and concentrating on a certain task, I wasn't thinking about God then. When someone threw something at me, I didn't think about God, I reacted by ducking out of the way. I guess I sinned those three times right Campbell? Hey here's a question, I know and am a witness to Jesus setting me free indeed from my willful sins. But in 1 John 1:8, it does say in the present tense that we do have sin in us, and I truly believe that sinners go to the lake of fire just like the Bible states, but then we read in 1 john 5:15-16, it John says they're are sins unto death and sin not unto death, so couldn't 1 john 1:8 just be referring to unintentional sins like talked about in Numbers 15: 22-29. And in Numbers 15:30-32 it talks about presumptuous sins or willful sins. So as I'm trying to figure this out about 1 John 1:8, do you think there's any chance john is talking about unintentional sins instead of a willful transgression? 1 Jn 1:8 is describing a false convert. 1 Jn 1:9 is describing a genuine convert. Context is everything friends.
