  • Most Professed Christians today have no idea whatsoever what it means to be Redeemed from the corrupting influence of sin, delivered from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God. They languish in a 'half-way' world of in-between, in which they THINK Jesus has them Covered while they continue in sin, as the Romans Wretch, chief of sinners with desperately wicked hearts, calling themselves Royal Sons in rags. But the Scriptures make it Crystal Clear the vast difference between the Redeemed and the Deceived! Let's take a look:

Declared righteous while still reaming slaves to corruption. They never truly repent, the foundation is never laid. This is not a true follower. All who call upon the name of the Lord must depart from iniquity. A true believer walks in righteousness from a pure heart, grafted into the vine and abiding in Him by obedience to the truth. Godly sorrow, repentance unto salvation through faith in Jesus Christ proven by deeds. From then on, a person continues growing in godliness and the character of Christ. Empowered by the Spirit, instructed by grace. We are the called out ones. Be ye holy for He is holy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Blessed are those who mourn (over sin) for they shall find comfort. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be satisfied. A broken and contrite heart He will not turn away. Come out from among them turn from iniquity and turn to Him for mercy, forgivness, and new life!!! Great teaching Mike!!!

This teaching needs to be taught in churches. Also walking in deliverance. I was still in bondage to sexual sins even as a Christian. It must start with fearing Yahweh and knowing Jesus died to redeem us. Over my life I realize what or when there are seasons of the LORD revealing something to me. 1 John 3:6-9, had been in my mind for quite some time now and I'm ever so glad that you are mentioning this here!
I also learned that we need to stop pitying ourselves continually because of what hurt others had done to us. It's fine to bring it to God's hands and share it with Him, He is our Father after all, but how often had we disappointed Him?
Stop reflecting on the hurts others had done, but reflect on how you had failed Him. This really makes me sad!
Christianity has shifted focus on self rather than the LORD. When you realize the fundamentals then you can walk I'm victory.
Added importance to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Recognize Him and fellowship with Him.

Thanks skinski. I know that what Mike is preaching is true. I saw it myself when I took a plain reading of the scriptures. The child of God does not sin and he can't sin, but the established church system seems to conviently skip those parts of scripture or explains them away.Once again brother thank you and please pray for me that God would give me more light and truth.

Alfred Austin you seem to be in a humble state, and that's a good thing, only those who are humble receive grace from God. Read Luke 15 the prodigal son, he came to himself and admitted he was in rebellion to God once he came to HIMSELF , then and only then did God run to him and put on him the robe and gave him the big feast. If your breathing they're is still hope, but you coming clean and having a real repentance with godly fear like in 2 cor 7:10-11 is the way you can prepare your heart to receive God's grace and Spirit. Proverbs 16:1 read the parable of the sower, that shows that unless your heart is ready to receive, then and only then can you produce a crop that's worthy to God....but your not past hope...
Isa 10:4 KJV - Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is STRETCHED OUT STILL.

SO are you saying once we are truly converted we no longer sin? so in my own life since I've come to true conversion many things have dropped off, I no longer drink at all. chew tobacco, I spend 6-10 hours/day in biblical researching, I came out of the 501c3, pagan holiday keeping, NIV (Wescott & Hort, Alexandrian text) perversion reading, Once saved always saved believing, best life now easy preaching. But still I can't stop my mind from thinking sinful thoughts are you saying you have all pure thoughts??? so Yes I too ask God to forgive me many times/day. It is impossible to not even think a sinful thought!

+Tribulation Prepper Titus 2:11-12 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world" If someone dwells in sinful and lustful thoughts, they have not truly repented. Believe me it IS possible. 1 John 3:8-9 "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." Do you not believe that?

+Tribulation Prepper Thoughts crossing the mind are not sin, neither is temptation, unless you are taken captive by them. James explains, 'you are drawn away by your own lusts and enticed', meaning taken captive. if you do not allow it to take you captive, you have not sinned. everyone has a moral conscience and natural inclinations (desires) in Christ we crucify the lust and exercise Self-control

+Tribulation Prepper Mr. D is right, TribPrepper. A fleeting thought that comes to mind is not sin. But dwelling on sinful thoughts is choosing not to put that thought away. Christ came to give us power over sin. If we have truly repented and forsaken sin, sin no longer has dominion or power over us. Rom 6.14. Rather, we have dominion over sin, and choose to serve Christ, not sin, not desires, not carnality. Maybe part of it is, are we walking/living in the flesh, or in the Spirit? Are we carnal still, or are we Spiritual? While we do still have fleshly bodies, are we allowing carnal and sinful desires, motives, or ways to drive us? I believe 2 Cor. 10:3-6 addresses this too. Or is the Spirit driving us? Have we even been willing to forsake all sin, all impurity, all evil? If we are still beholden to sin, allowing it still to have sway over these lives we live, we probably have not really repented, or turned our backs on all that nonsense. Anyway, food for thought. Who truly owns our hearts and minds?

I didn't say acting out the thoughts just thinking about it for a second or two then coming to your/my senses and feeling guilty so I repent. Matthew 5:28 - But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”-1 John 1:8.
    2 Corinthians Chapter 7
9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, [what] clearing of yourselves, yea, [what] indignation, yea, [what] fear, yea, [what] vehement desire, yea, [what] zeal, yea, [what] revenge! In all [things] ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
    Acts 3:19 - Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Luke 13:3 - I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Ezekiel 18:21-23 - But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. (Read More...)
Acts 17:30 - And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Proverbs 28:13 - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy.
James 4:8-10 - Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded. (Read More...)
Revelation 2:5 - Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

+Tribulation Prepper The majority of those scriptures are referring to the "old man" where sin USED TO reign.
1John 1:8 John was referring to the Gnostic teachers who said their spirit was pure but the flesh was sinful. So therefore they never truly sinned in the spirit (or at all). Yes we have all sinned (to say we have not would surely be a lie), but once we come to the understanding of Christ we don't continue in it, and we strive mightily against it.
If you read on a tiny bit to 1John 2:1 "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you MAY NOT sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." This refers to mistakes and slip ups not habitual sin. You may ask, how can he be so sure? Heb 10:26 "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins" John CLEARLY was saying willful, habitual sin must stop, there can be no contradictions.
Don't feel alone. I once struggled mightily with the same thing you are, and the fight can get ugly. Heb 12: 4 " Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." In my case I realized I was kidding myself and I really really really did not WANT to stop. When I came to that realization, and to the realization I could stop if I truly wanted to; I just stopped looking at women as the world told me to (as an object not a person)....then the light of understanding went on in my head!
Remember Jesus said, "That whosoever looketh on a woman TO LUST AFTER HER hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." He did not say to merely look at a woman. It's the condition of one's heart that matters.
Surely temptation is not sin as Christ was tempted Luke 4:2 and did not sin. Temptation is always there because we live in a wicked world. It's the LUST in one's heart (or how you process or filter external information internally) that must be purged/changed. Not seeing or talking to a woman but HOW and with WHAT MIND SET you do it.
One has to be willing to give that up (or crucify) that part of the old man with a new heart and renewed mind.
Once we are willing to give up that lust (remember, natural affection for the opposite sex to have a family is not sin, but to have a woman an outlet for our lusts [as an object of desire] is wrong.) We must truly repent, or deprogram the old ways we learned and once walked in (by washing, purging, not putting new wine into old skins, etc.) then Spirit of God (the Helper John 14:26) can dwell in a clean heart (Eph. 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your HEARTS by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love") to help us walk the walk and grow in Grace and Knowledge. My race is just getting started. Hope that helps some.

+Everyday Christian Exactly right on, the problem is they can't yet imagine being without the lust of flesh, eyes and pride of life. They dwell in 2Pet2:14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls.' They cannot even 'look' at the opposite sex without impure thoughts welling up, what's needed is the living water unto eternal life welling up ... after they repent, forsake these things and are truly born again.

      +Tribulation Prepper 1Cor6:9-10, Gal5:19-21 lists them

    • @Skinski7
      @Skinski7 8 років тому +2

+Tribulation Prepper A sin unto death is the opposite of "obedience unto righteousness." Therefore a sin unto death is simply "rebellion to God," ie. doing what you KNOW is wrong.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
1Cor 6:9-10, Gal 5:19-21 are obviously observant sins unto death, yet sins of the carnal mind in its refusal to submit itself to righteousness are also sins unto death which is why Jesus condemned adultery in the heart, hatred in the heart, and pride in the heart.
The standard of God is heart purity which is only wrought through repentance and faith whereby we yield ourselves to the leading of God out of which we find reconciliation and wholesale regeneration. Anything less is but a cheap imitation.

+Steven Devine You can email me at sinmuststop at gmail dot com
Repentance is something you have nurture within yourself through honestly reflecting upon the truth of God and your rebellion to it.
It begins with a fear of God. God is the ultimate reality and it is pure insanity to walk in discordance with God, it is suicide. You have to grasp that in your mind and let the terror of the Lord bring you to a brokenness. If that does not occur you will never escape the bondage of sin because your will will remain in total opposition to God.
God nor anyone else can do that for you. You have to do it. That is the choice all of us are presented with in this life.

I thought after Jesus came the elect would receive new incorruptible spiritual bodies and that is when scriptures you mentioned would apply to us not sinning anymore, having law written on hearts, and no longer requiring spreading of the Gospel of the Lord because everyone would already know him.
Man failed in the Garden of Eden trying to keep one law and Nation of Israel failed over and over attempting to keep many laws and since Jesus ascended man has certainly not done well overall keeping his law. God took the time and effort to give Israel a lot of detailed and specific ethical, moral, ceremonial, temple, economic, agricultural, dietary, sacrificial laws. You are saying with we can live in the flesh and not sin or transgress the Law. The big sins you mentioned should obviously be removed completely from Christians life but does that mean the person is not sinning according to the Law. I do not see much evidence that humans can not sin in the flesh.

+Steven Devine YOU have to repent. Repentance is your responsibility. No
one can drag you to it against your will. It is you who have to come to
an understanding that the road you are on is death and thus desire to
flee the wrath to come. It takes diligence, self reflection, and
seriousness. There is no magic pill. Make this the priority in your
life, if you do the outcome will be worth it.
Godly sorrow produces perspective. You will begin to see the utter ruin of sin, the utter foolishness of it. You will then want to flee sin totally and YOU WILL and it is THEN that God can restore you.
The Prodigal Son came to his senses whilst in the pig pen and forsook his rebellion completely. That is what we all have to do. We may not know much when we do that but we will have emptied ourselves of all deceit, double mindedness, for the old man has been put to death. The old man of rebellion will be no more. That has to happen once and for all or it never will.

So repent unto salvation to live holy unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord. Those who continue to yield their members servants unto Sin are free from righteousness and neglect a great salvation.
Seek God for His Truth in righteousness.
Sinners do not inherit His Kingdom.
