I’m 20. Heard this amazing song for the first time yesterday 😍 it was was released a year and a half before I was born. Early 2000’s music is incredible. Everybody felt so passionately. There was so much depth and emotion
Bruh I woke up this morning with this song in my head, go to look it up and it was just reuploaded with only 500 views? This used to be on the radio every single day! Lol

Garage Mahal is a banger. I was 15 and it was one of the albums that made me start playing guitar. Also, I was that kid you guys visited at West Lakes Mall - you were doing an appearance in Adelaide and my friend told you to come to my checkout so you guys all walked over to say hi! You started scanning groceries for customers! It was crazy. I’ll never forget it. It meant heaps. I’m 36, still play guitar and still listen to you guys. Time for a revival?
This!! Gold! One of my songs on high rep in my car back in the day... Good times, epic song!! Loved this clip, and that hair Jason, you have really great hair ;)
I met Jason Singh when he was in cover band vasoline.they were rocking and brilliant.anywho I used to ask him questions bout music biz and he was literally the coolest dude ever.they announced taking couple weeks off.i asked him why... cos I'm in another band just got signed to Warner Bros.couldnt tell me the band name but saw them on tv couple months later.Taxiride get set.blew my mind cos he just an awesome person.thats Jason.taxiride are very pop and underrated.cheers Jason.
You must be a youngin'. This is 2002, and every - literally every - song then had a record-scratching bit added into it. Didn't matter what genre the song was 😂
@@doctorbohr1585 is 34 a youngin'? 🤣 Yeah I remember the early 2000s music scene, back then even though I was quite young and yeah I recall DJ scratch noises were prevalent in songs, especially with the nu metal scene, DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit sort of thing. I just thought I'd (maybe) see the DJ making the scratch noises in the music video too. 🤣
@@JockMatrix whoops, you're not a youngin' 😔. Yeah, theyd usually put a DJ in the clip. But Taxiride just pasted the svratchin' sound on cos it was 2002 😂
I was just another in the crowd but was trying to get a band started with a buddy.also met his auntie at a takeaway in Ringwood near shop I ran.said these guys are cool and she said Jason my nephew.that lady made awesome salami and coleslaw rolls.i got addicted to them.peace love and drum beats.💕
Criminally underrated song...
Yep definitely
Most of their songs are criminally underrated to be fair.
Quintessential early 2000s, it's great. Seemed so fun.
I'm a Brit. My Aussie friend introduced me to them in 2000. Still love listening to them.
Some great Aussie bands like these guys, also Savage Garden, INXS, and of course AC DC.

Why do Taxiride songs fill me with this strange nostalgia that's so happy and so sad at the same time?! No other music does the same! 🤔
Absotively

Up to 870 now - the view count is creepin’ up slowly
It’s 8:15 am at time of writing, literally woke up with this in my head, find out I’m not the only one 😮
I'm only 23 years late in finding these songs...such talent..and Jason Singh continuing his awesomeness is great to watch...thanks to the internet
Love this song.
Let's kick on back
To the places we know
The path isn't set yet
Your life is unsure
pre-chorus
So you're runnin' in circles
Got a bug in your head
Feel the needles and pins
Get 'em out of my head
pre-chorus
Take a chance on a rumor
Heard from a friend
That something
Is gonna change
chorus
Yeah, it's creeping up slowly
She's taking me over
It's turning me on
(Take a chance)
chorus
With every breath that I take
I roll up my dreams
And blow them away
verse
Cruising on blue street
My worries are freed
Stressed out and thinned out
I know exactly what you need
pre-chorus
Got your life wrapped up
In the palm of your hand
Trying to feel what I feel
But you can't understand
pre-chorus
No, you won't be satisfied
'Til you see
That something
Is gonna change
chorus
Yeah, it's creeping up slowly
She's taking me over
It's turning me on
(Take a chance)
chorus
With every breath that I take
I roll up my dreams
And blow them away
bridge
Rip it up
And turn the page
Slip through the cracks
In the stage
bridge
And you will find me there
Look past the nose
Upon your face
It you're gonna change
verse
I saw you moving in slowly
Caught a glint in your eye
A moment's hesitation
In case you're wondering why
verse
And you won't be satisfied
'Til you see
This meeting of the minds
Inside of me
chorus
Yeah, it's creeping up slowly
She's taking me over
It's turning me on
(Take a chance)
chorus
With every breath that I take
I roll up my dreams
And blow them away
chorus
It's creeping up slowly
She's taking me over
It's turning me on
chorus
With every breath that I take
I roll up my dreams
And blow them away
verse
So you're runnin' in circles
Got a bug in your head
Feel the needles and pins
Get 'em out of my head
verse
Take a chance on a rumor
Heard from a friend
That something
Is gonna change
verse
Wrap it up
In the palm of your hand
Trying to feel what I feel
But you can't understand
verse
No, you won't be satisfied
'Til you see
That something
Is gonna change
outro
Rip it up
And turn the page
Creeping up slowly
Look past the nose
Upon your face it
You're gonna change
outro
Just rip it up
And turn the page
Look past the nose
That's on your face
And it's gonna change

Love this song too but it also shows my age
No DJ making the scratching noises in the music video? Lol
They actually use a DJ while playing live

How is this connected to Eurovision.
came here after Get Set 😂
Carl Squared anyone? 😅
Only 43k views? Surely more 40 year old farts have reminisced?
This why radio sucks, not playing great Aussie music like Taxi Ride.
taxiride got a bad rap back in the day they were kind of like nickelback in that regard but actually they were great good fun!
