This is year 7 to me
Mi tema favorito del 2000 hasta ahora
Anyone in 2024
Quintessential early 2000s, it's great. Seemed so fun.
taxiride were great
I was born in 1991 and I remember the super specific feeling of discovering that I lived in a world where after thousands of years of exploration and discovery it was finally possible for any average and determined enough individual to travel to almost anywhere on the planet and this song makes me feel that feeling again every time I hear it
I remember this song being constantly played, I was only 11 or 12 and for whatever reason it really stuck with me, beautiful unique harmonics
came here after Get Set 😂
This tune still sounds great in 2024.
What a nice track and a really nice harmony i really like the chorus.
The Smashmouth production is so fucking hilarious😅 Hey now, your a ...

Avril lavigne i love you baby 🦋 🐝
Would be great to see all members of Taxiride back together doing a single tour together. Let bygones be bygones. Too good a band to be touring separately, based on past falling outs.
One of the greatest bands to come out of Melbourne period
Better than Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young!!!
Let's kick on back To the places we know The path isn't set yet Your life is unsure pre-chorus So you're runnin' in circles Got a bug in your head Feel the needles and pins Get 'em out of my head pre-chorus Take a chance on a rumor Heard from a friend That something Is gonna change chorus Yeah, it's creeping up slowly She's taking me over It's turning me on (Take a chance) chorus With every breath that I take I roll up my dreams And blow them away verse Cruising on blue street My worries are freed Stressed out and thinned out I know exactly what you need pre-chorus Got your life wrapped up In the palm of your hand Trying to feel what I feel But you can't understand pre-chorus No, you won't be satisfied 'Til you see That something Is gonna change chorus Yeah, it's creeping up slowly She's taking me over It's turning me on (Take a chance) chorus With every breath that I take I roll up my dreams And blow them away bridge Rip it up And turn the page Slip through the cracks In the stage bridge And you will find me there Look past the nose Upon your face It you're gonna change verse I saw you moving in slowly Caught a glint in your eye A moment's hesitation In case you're wondering why verse And you won't be satisfied 'Til you see This meeting of the minds Inside of me chorus Yeah, it's creeping up slowly She's taking me over It's turning me on (Take a chance) chorus With every breath that I take I roll up my dreams And blow them away chorus It's creeping up slowly She's taking me over It's turning me on chorus With every breath that I take I roll up my dreams And blow them away verse So you're runnin' in circles Got a bug in your head Feel the needles and pins Get 'em out of my head verse Take a chance on a rumor Heard from a friend That something Is gonna change verse Wrap it up In the palm of your hand Trying to feel what I feel But you can't understand verse No, you won't be satisfied 'Til you see That something Is gonna change outro Rip it up And turn the page Creeping up slowly Look past the nose Upon your face it You're gonna change outro Just rip it up And turn the page Look past the nose That's on your face And it's gonna change

*Ring..Ring..Ring...Ring.. Yes Hello This Is Taxiride...What's That? You want us to be the soundtrack for the next 20+ years of Aussie Sports, tennis..cars..football and so on? Yeh sure why not. The Song is already a banger in the year 1999.
I’m 20. Heard this amazing song for the first time yesterday 😍 it was was released a year and a half before I was born. Early 2000’s music is incredible. Everybody felt so passionately. There was so much depth and emotion
Sad thing is they are bickering in court. Band mates against lead singer or vice versa. From this film clip I find it a bit odd the lead singer is not at the forefront of the film.clip. I think blonde guy thinks he is the reason the Band got popular but in reality dark haired guy is the real reason as his hook chorus makes this song so memorable. Without it, it would never be a classic song.my opinion only 😅
Their best song imo
The harmonies, though...
Been in love with this track for 25 straight years ❤ I feel sorry for those who'll never discover this hidden gem 💎
Love this song ❤

Such a shame the guys couldn't play with ALL the original members. Not a good look treating the others like 💩. Probably all about ego no doubt.

👍✌️ 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 🧃🧃🧃🧃 🍨🍨🍨🍨
I've seen them a few times and just this saturday night in gisborne they are absolutely awesome. Amazing and have great songs are a totally tight band who know and read each other. And amazing nice blokes you def need to see them if you can. Kim
Easily one of Australia's greatest bands, brilliant songwriting and vocals.
Bruh would’ve thought this had more likes and views 💁🏾♀️ wth it’s a classic they deserve better
Great song. Underrated.
Geeez how many guitars in this group?
❤❤❤lovely❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A superb high end song!!I bought their CD and have this on CD single and wished they went further as their talents need no explanations and is shameful that more support for this band wasn't forthcoming.
T-banger!!
Oh and the harmonies!!
Only 43k views? Surely more 40 year old farts have reminisced?
Heard this song in my local grocery store and was floored by childhoos flashbacks and had to find it again! I adore this song!
I've listened to this about ten times now... And I just can't get over how amazing their harmonies are. And the energy is so great. After hearing the first 30 seconds, I remember why I love this so much. ❤
Were you there at the time?

This why radio sucks, not playing great Aussie music like Taxi Ride.
This is the best song of all existing songs in the world!
Such a great track. I was in my first year of uni and was so impressed with this track. I interviewed the guys in the back bar the local nightclub in Bendigo Studio 54 for the local newspaper. That was epic. Great memory.
That is so cool! Wowow!
Lol, I was first year uni too: Anno Domini 1999. What a year that was: Taxi ride, Killing Heidi, Fat Boy Slim and the American Pie movie. Fun times 😂
1st album great check out second album very cool
Its a great song that takes us back to a moment along our memory lane. Where were you when this was on the radio? What was happening in your life? Who were you with? Same as other cool radio songs around this era... ●Life Is a Rollercoaster -Ronan Keating ●Four to the Floor (Thin White Duke Mix -Starsailor
I was 18 and just starting uni. Other cool radio songs I remember were Flagpole Sitter, Weir (Killing Heidi) and Deeper Water, by Deadstar - remember them? Taxiride were huge for a while, then just disappeared and were forgotten.
Thats coool. Yes i remember those, except flagpole sitter. Killing Heidi is one of our great Aussie Rock bands, saw her play at Tweed Heads back then. Baby Animals are a similar band from here too. If you like Killing Heidi, try Baby Animals songs... Early Warning. One Word.
@@gypsysteve3576 yes, I remember the Baby Animals! They were kind of overshadowed by the arrival of grunge. One Word is a great song. Ratcat were another cool Aussie act from the early 90s. I almost saw Killing Heidi live at the Big Day Out (musta been 2000); but they were booked onto a small stage and the crowd got dangerous before they came on, so we left because a crush almost developed. Took ages to get outside.
@@doctorbohr1585 oh wow. I forgot all about Ratcat with 'Dont go now'...they were awesome. They came out around same time as PushPush with that song 'Trippin', and Transvision Vamp. Youre right, i never thought about why they dissapeared so quick, but as you mention, the Grunge era came on shortly after that. I totally understand crowd crush too. I went to MetallicA in '88 and got up near front stage early. When they came on, the weight of the crowd pushed forward. Ide never felt my life was at risk at a gig before that. The pressure was so much, our arms were trapped and couldnt move, and my chest had so much push against it, i was struggling for air. There was a short girl beside me and she toppled over, and all that went thru my head was "if i go down im dead!" cos those who fell on top of you wouldnt be able to move either. The girl was reaching for help so i grabbed her arm, and another guy who saw this helped too, and we managed to pull her up and pass her over head, and the crowd passed her to the back. So while there was still a gap i climbed up too, and the crowd passed me overhead all the way to the back ...what a relief! Sorry for the long blah blah, but that memory just came rushing back when you spoke of crowd crush. Never went front stage to a huge sized audience like that ever again.
@@gypsysteve3576 amazing story. It's cool you saw metallica in the 80s, but the crush sounds terrifying!
Hell yes!
