@SVTheCrookedAnchor : I just stumbled upon your video, after seeing some disaster videos, earlier in the week, and being curious about how people survive catastrophes on the open seas. Y'all are hilarious, and quite the dynamic duo. I realize that you found that raft, and, it had some age on it, but I wonder: 1) What's the projected life span on those things? 2) What if you were out on the ocean, and had an emergency, and your raft started taking on water, like that one. A)Can they be patched, while in use? B) What's the best product to use? C) And, how do you do that? 3) What essentials should you try to keep on your person, that most rafts don't have, and you'll probably need? 4) And, let's address the elephant in the room, how do people take care of ...bodily eliminations, when they're on those things? You KNOW, ... Answering those questions might make for a GREAT video. I did a quick search, and it looks like the most recent on YT is from a year ago, although I haven't viewed it. And, if y'all do create a video, don't forget to put affiliate links in the Description section! And, if you don't decide to create one, that's fine, too. This was a good one.
@@robinbroadwater2147First of all thanks for watching and we appreciate the comment. We don't have all the answers as this lifestyle is a constant learning experience. I love your video idea. We'll definitely keep it in mind. Trust me it's added to the list of video projects. I was surprised how well this raft held up for it's age. I know they're supposed to be inspected every five years. Gives you a bit of confidence if needed.
@@svthecrookedanchor Since y'all already have a channel, how about reaching out to the major manufacturers of rafts, and informing them that the latest video is a year old, and asking if they'd like to provide product, for you to review? Heck, you might get enough to do comparisons. I'm researching how this platform works, to launch a channel, myself, and from what I understand, good, bad, or indifferent, many companies view having their products featured on social media as free advertising. So, hopefully that will translate into y'all being able to get whatever products you need, for your channel, without any expenses that won't be recovered. Take Good Care.
@robinbroadwater2147 Thanks again. We're slowly working on affiliate programs for products we use as our page grows. We have some like Mantus Anchors and SeaWater Pro watermakers and a few others.
YES nice demonstration and looks like a pretty sturdy raft however u said there was water inside already?? hhhmmm Wonder how come, it's supposed 2 SAVE UR LIFE !! Thanks 4 the video pretty cool !! ❤❤😅😅
Nice to see that it inflated and kept air, BUT PLEASE PLEASE service your life rafts. We were part of a similar experiment this past summer with a 12 year old Viking liferaft that had never been serviced. It inflated. Everyone clapped. Followed by both inner tubes exploding one after another!!!

@@markjessurun7765 water got through the floor, it was dry out of the package. Still good after all those years

Wow, that's what I was thinking when it started making noises
I was expecting a boom when you yanked the cord, pretty cool to see if inflate
I was thinking it would inflate a lot faster.
I was wondering how you deflated the raft after you where finished with it.
It had two large screws you remove to deflate it, but they were so corroded I couldn't get them out. So I had to use a knife and cut it.
@@capt.kenmitchell5116 Have you maybe filmed that too?
I wonder if people have had it inflate upside down before 😂
I believe the way this one was made it would roll over, hope we never have to find out the hard way.
A man thay dont throw them out here i wish thay did
It was fun to do.
