Perfect video, with details and clear explanation... thanks a million, I was able change the charging port on my daughters iPhone 8 Plus, of course, the most challenging part is to put all these 29 screws in a way to be able to put them back correctly....
Excellent video my friend you just taught me a trick in the phone business .. I do repair iphone too and androids ... Youre a Excellent teacher ... Straight to the point ...
I do exactly the same method on organizing the screws. Since every screw have different sizes and must put back where they came from. I need to replace my taptic engine and charging set. Thanks for this. I’m no licensed technician. This helps a lot. Thanks
I replaced the charging port on an older SE a couple years ago. It was awful because the home button was wired to the board making the screen difficult to install. The screen can only be lifted a couple inches to disconnect/reconnect the home button. Its nice to see they have have made screen removal much easier.
BEWARE! iPhone 8 replacement procedure is quite different than for the 8+. For one thing, the motherboard MUST be removed (with all that entails...), and the inner anatomy is somewhat different on the two phones. This looks like a great video for the 8+, but it would be helpful - essential - to post another video for the iPhone 8.
thanks for sharing. I just followed your instruction and did it an hour ago. the result is perfect. I just want to add 1 more step at the end : replace the seal (for the scree) before putting the screen back. I wish I could give you 100 Likes. in term of cost. I paid NZD31 for 1 charging cable, 2 screen seals plus delivery
I subscribed to your Channel just based on this one video. The charging port on my Samsung S7 was fried recently. I was told buy Sprint store it would cost $222 to replace. I'm using a wireless charging pad to charge the phone in the meantime. But I'm sure I can find someone to repair the port for me for less than that amount. I would try to do the repair myself, but my fingers are not as Nimble as yours are. Thanks for this super encouraging video and very detailed tutorial.
awesome tutorial, thank you! the not removing mobo hack got a little hairy as i snapped the ribbon of old charger port, but was able to remove the rest cleanly! Thank you!
You could just use a wireless charger. My brother's iPhone 8 charging port broke. He bought a wireless charger for 10 bucks and now he could use his phone
@@seanwatts392 thank you for this simple but brilliant idea that I didn’t think of. Just ordered my wireless charger. Thank you wherever you are 6 months later 🙂
I have a phone with the call microphone not working, need to replace charge port like you said. Excellent video, I think I can manage this repair with no cell phone repair experience, we'll see!
i have a problem with that cable at 15:29 when i conect him it wont stay there so my microfon, charging and signal not working, whats wrong? sorry for my english im from czech. thanks for answer.
Nice video, thanks. I used an original / used oem part - mics were working but after fitting they do not work. Tried to re-seat connectors but still not working. Which connector takes the mic signal back to the board?
I did this and my phone has the ability to charge again. Unfortunately while doing so when I tried to talk on the phone the other person couldnt hear me. Does it have anything to do with what your doing at 16:37 ? I feel like thats where the problem is.
Thank you I followed your instructions and now my phone will charge. THANK YOU, but now when I push the home button it makes a noise like a shaking noise. Any ideas how to fix that.
Hi, great video! I have a problem with my vibration motor. Doesn’t work for home button clicks, won’t vibrate when ringing, nothing. Tried replacing the motor and still nothing. Do you think replacing this would fix it? Thanks
Thank you for the very thorough and easy to follow instructions! The only issue I ran into was that the Taptic Engine started making a rattling noise after I finished installation. I double checked all of the screws were tightly fastened in all of the components but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas what the issue may be?
And to follow up, the left speaker does not work, but the primary issue was not being able to make a reliable connection with the charging ports so I'm willing to deal with it. Thank you again!
I recommend using a big drawing of the inside of the iphone to place the screws and parts removed from the iphone. When parts are removed, place them on the right place on the drawing, so you know which screw or part goes on the iphone when you put them back. And make sure you have the right tools as used in this video. Hope this helps.
This is very helpful, but I'll just take my charging port in to get it fixed. I have NO confidence that i can deal with all this detail with screws, etc. Now i see why these phones cost so much from the jump!! Good job sir.
Thanks for the vid! i have replaced my charging port except that i made a small crack on the upper right part of the screen. I kinda forced it a little bit! Sad...
so many screws to keep track of what goes where. need a diagram pad that shows the layout, so you can place the screws on in their appropriate places on the diagram pad, as you go along.
I have the issue of the people on the other end of the call cannot hear me. The same with FaceTime. I hear them fine. I have IPhone 8. I replaced the charging port just as you showed. I still have the same issue. If I put it on speaker phone and shout directly into the mic by the port she can barely hear me. Any other ideas of what it might be?
hi i have a question, i have a problem with my iphone 8, the mic do not work , i can hear who's talking to me but they can't hear me, it works once every 10 times, do i need to replace the whole charging port like in this video?
Clean the microphone hole , it's one of the holes next to the charging port. If still have the problem you may need to replace the charging port completely.
It means, the component responsible for the backlight is about to stop functioning. Solution: You'll need a new good quality screen, make sure the battery is not connected while you're installing the new screen, also take good care of the screen cables, connect them gently and perfectly.
Ok so my lightening port in iPhone 8plus was constantly having connection issues hence i went to a 3rd party repair shop to get the lightening port replaced. Lightening port works well since then but my voice on calls sound muffled, people tell that i sound very weird since i got this repair! I have no idea how my mics got affected, i only had a problem with my ligjtening port but now i sound muffled. May i know why? And how do i get this sorted? Please help!! (Repair was done in front of me and nothing was stolen. i still have the old part thAt was replaced)
Everything seemed to go well but now I have vertical lines on my screen and the #4 on the unlock screen isn’t working. I tried taking the screen contact off and blowing any dust out of it but the problem is still there

Thank you. I managed to change the port by following your video 😀
Thank you microphone was bad, took me twice as long as you but I got the job done!
Thank you very much for such a detailed tutorial!

Me too I broke 2 cables right away! Can I replace or fix them.? help!!
very specific and on detail explained, Thank you so much man.
Is it the same procedure for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus? Any differences for disassembly /assembly?
Almost the same
Its the same process but the issue that my iphone 8 has is that it has 1 weird screw by the charging cable that I can't take off :/
I did this and my phone has the ability to charge again. Unfortunately while doing so when I tried to talk on the phone the other person couldnt hear me. Does it have anything to do with what your doing at 16:37 ? I feel like thats where the problem is.
Great video easy to follow !
What was the screw tool sizes
dang bro you live in by a race track? lol I'm joking, good video bro
What is the first type of screw driver?
Is the same with iPhone8 or I have to take off the mother board?
Is there a link to purchase the charging port? What about other parts?
You can find it easily on Ebay
Some of the screws don't want to turn at all. What should I do?
Please recommend the iphone 8 charge port part that is reliable
Is the charging port serialized? Does it need to be programmed to work with the phone like the original?
What happened to dust proof sealing..?
The screw at 3:35 doesn’t come out? What should I do
Can I use the iPhone6 charging port for iPhone 8
Thanks! You are the best!
Hy. The instructions is very good. Thanks for this help. I have a question. Yesterday i made it but after my home button doesn't work. What can be?
Thank you I followed your instructions and now my phone will charge. THANK YOU, but now when I push the home button it makes a noise like a shaking noise. Any ideas how to fix that.
The screw in the Taptic Engine are either too tight or too lose most likely the first
What should I do if I replace the lightning port but the phone does not charge or turn on afterwards?

Do you heat the back. My port seems glued.
Hi, great video! I have a problem with my vibration motor. Doesn’t work for home button clicks, won’t vibrate when ringing, nothing. Tried replacing the motor and still nothing. Do you think replacing this would fix it? Thanks
Seems my charging port is glued under the motherboard. Wish it would have slid out like yours, Will have to find another video on this extra step.

Yeah, if the charing port may cause these problems if it is not well placed and connected .
What size of tri point screw did you use? Thanks man.
0.6
I want to try this so bad but I’m scared 🤣
Do it. Get a magnetic diagram to keep up with your screws and be gentle. It’s very easy
Brooklyntini says you lol I just replaced my battery and punctured the old one taking it out.. it was very stuck on 😂
