Circa 34:40, thanks for giving the unsung university superstars their flowers. Obviously I'm as impressed as anyone by the student Olympians, for example, but as a prof, I saw the heroes who will never get medals. I had a student request to take an exam early because 1 of her 3 jobs couldn't reschedule her. So, so many are balancing multiple jobs just to make tiny dents in student loans. We have unhoused students or at risk of becoming so imminently, students getting by with severe disabilities that prevent them from attending half the lectures, students trying to finish a course after a classmate (identity never revealed) assaulted them, students trying to lip-read lectures due to hearing impairment, students dealing with onset of the same illness actively ending their parent's life...
Anyway, we can't always help much, but we see you and celebrate you.

I watched the whole documentary and it’s really good. The part about the other athletes is just as good and interesting since it’s focused on them not the sport. The most interesting part for me is how little time anybody talked about doing schoolwork.

Thank you! I’ve needed to hear someone say what I was thinking when I watched The Money Game - the moment at that booster fundraiser when they call the beauty queen a “prop” for pick up lines. just….NO.

Upfront isn't pitching to networks. It's networks trying to show their slate preview to advertisers.

As an ex-NCAA athlete (pre-NIL) I fully support athletes being able to make money while competing in the NCAA. That said, it’s hard to ignore that Olivia Dunne is famous for being attractive and for that only. Her athletic ability has absolutely nothing to do with it. It sends young girls the message that you can only be successful if you look a certain way and that your actual skill and intelligence don’t really matter.
