I think it should be a tradition to carefully place funny little things in the background for your viewers to spot, like a little “hide and seek” game. Nice video Chris, and I’ve never heard of a “snakeskin” pan before! Learn something new everyday...

Hi Chris I love your show mate and all you do for mental illness, i come from a father back in the day scuba diving pontoon dredging on creeks and I am 40 now, lost the panning and gold finding skills, your channel inspires me once I can get back out of Melbourne to get on rivers again, sorry about your pooch, ours is only 6 months old, and I wear your tee shirt with pride. I hope I see you on a river one day.

Aloha Vo-Gus. After a 9hour island cruise I'm kicking back thinking....wasn't that fun ? And you pop up And I'm watching you doing your "thing". What a great day. And here I see I'm the first to comment ? More great day to enjoy. Can't get any better. Yet ,I too am wishing you all a belief in finding that one ounce nugget everyone deserves to find. I'm glad you're glad. And yes I miss your trusty pal "Grizz". Laters.

I store all my fine gold in a specimen jar. Even when you get it nice and clean invariably a small amount of black sand is still in it. You can get this out with flux when smelting, but a good trick is as you let it build up in your specimen jar every few months get a strong magnet and just hold it on one side and pull the sand up and out, means you can use less flux cheers.
