Ignore those top gravels, dig down to bedrock or search the area for ancient runs of the creek (channels move over eons) that's where you will find gold in better concentrations.
On the riffle brackets you’ll want too cut off about an 1/8 inch on the tabs, makes it easier to get them in and out, you won’t fight them anymore, lol
Horrible contraption, water is too deep to get proper exchange, dump 5 gallons of water by pitcher,,then classify bent over down by your ankles .5mins spent running 1 shovel of material?? Absolutely horrible.. great for the seller ,not the buyer.
I have this same setup. I prefer to save time by placing the classifier portion under a small waterfall when possible to increase my shoveling rate and reduce the amount of watering. I've got four sections of sluice that I've clipped attached together, all of this fits into an old military style back pack, along with an entrenchment tool, a small metal pitcher, set of pans, a 6" set of classifiers, and a few odds and ends.
James this is James Fish I bot a new Mat that I cut out to the same size of my Miners moss this new rig fills all of my V matting Down the sluicebox which you Can now see your gold spreading down The v matting like that miner moss Makes a pile in your sluicefox but now It flows completely down the 1 piece Sluice so now I have 4 for my 4 sluice Boxes this works wonderfully
that looks like a pain in the bottom of classifier has to sit at least 1/2 inch in the water so one (dos) not have to pour water into it so much in watching you do that i get the strongest urge to never buy that sluice.
That all new speedflare and sit on top classifier are not accessible for purchase on that Outdoor Supplies site..strangely enough it is featured but the link doesn't have it there. Anyone maybe that can shine a light on that for me , thus be great..I was off to buy one ...'but when he got there ,the cupboard was bare and this poor little doggie got none ' ! 🐥🙏🙊🌻
Cat don’t give a shit about the sluice it wants the box! Those look cheep as shit! I will be surprised if it work’s very well? How long is the plastic sluice?
Not bad. But i do recomend a 1 in decline per foot. And you only want like a inch of water at the very least a half inch coming through the flare. Try using rocks to level it out. Then put a heavy rock in the middle to stabilize it so when your sifting. Try that and let me know how it works out
Nice! Its cool ya find gold in wv regardless. Never seen one with that flare. Me and my buddy ran a traditional sluice fox that another buddy lent us for the day. It did purdy daggumb good and I was actually impressed with it. Peace James 🤘⛏🇺🇸
Thanks for the video...loved it. I have a Sluice Fox which I have caught all sizes of gold with. A lot of the small gold gets caught where the flare attaches too, so you may want to remove it over the bucket as well. Also, I scrubbed mine up good before using to remove all the oil from the molded plastic. Just a suggestion, if you haven’t already. May there always be gold in your box!
James I'm about to do a video on some Flaick gold up on the Columbia river It's going to be this week end I hope This away youl be able to see my Sluicefox at 8 foot long I hope heavy Pands for you mu brother
James this is James Fish with that 8 foot sluicefox I took out the ripple trays And the minermoss and I put in a matting in each piece 24 inch sluice now My sluice cuts the materials your running through your sluicefox it allows The material to go into the vee matting Allowing the material flush out the sands and tiny gravels and dirt
Can’t wait for my speed flare to get to my house! You love my sluice fox, so it’s great to see someone else using one. I like your take on getting outside and just enjoying nature and the things you can find out in it! Great video.
The gold I find is eroding out of quartz conglomerates, southern WV has many areas where it's present. Do a search on "Teays River System" . That's when they were laid in..
I fitted a classifier once, the problem I had was if the classifier touched the water, it disturbed the water in the box too much, and if I had it out of the water, when I dumped water in through the classifier it washed some of the gold out.
I was able to achieve a very happy medium with water depth, pitch and flow. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked! I definitely had my doubts.
James did you know you could take Your miners moss out of your sluicefox And buy some of that spray adhesive And glue where your miners moss was And buy some rubber matting on Amazon it's just like matting cut them Out 6x4 and spay the back with spray Adhesive and put them in your sluice Fox and put them where your miners Moss was at dont forget to put something heavy to keep to glue Together with that v matting Iunder your ripples will collect Your heavys and ALLOW the lighter To flow out and and to collect the Gold under your ripples
Will the round flare fit to an existing sluice fox? I bought a regular sluice fox last fall...thought it looks like a cool addition. Great review...I’ll watch anything you review!
I like the header idea. I’d be concerned with agitating the sluice while shaking out the screen. Maybe a bucket with slots in the bottom? And choice of matting surface
My thoughts when watching thinking deeper for more water flow on bottom of classifier. Sounds like you're doing that by your earlier reply. Great video.
I love how it’s catching the fine flour, because that’s Michigan gold too ! Looks like I’ll be buying a speed flare and classifier for my Jimmy Sluice Fox ! And love the fossilized wood!
Very cool! I love the classifier system, can't wait to see what the other companies come up with - that level of classification running over dream/goldhog/alan robertson mats would be absolutely lethal on powder gold.
Ignore those top gravels, dig down to bedrock or search the area for ancient runs of the creek (channels move over eons) that's where you will find gold in better concentrations.
hes looking for flood gold .. each to their own..
On the riffle brackets you’ll want too cut off about an 1/8 inch on the tabs, makes it easier to get them in and out, you won’t fight them anymore, lol

Pouring water by hand onto a slice that has water running down it ?? This is just insanely bad.

Setting your classifier right on top of your sluice. Amazing idea and still keeping prospecting at a reasonable budget.
James glue down some matting in your
Stack on classifier
James this is James Fish I bot a new
Mat that I cut out to the same size of my
Miners moss this new rig fills all of my
V matting Down the sluicebox which you
Can now see your gold spreading down
The v matting like that miner moss

It flows completely down the 1 piece

Boxes this works wonderfully
Is this irl Minecraft !!!!¿
I wish it was! I'd have a diamond pickaxe to work with!

Great video! But please cover up your name and address. 😅 You don't want that info floating around the internet! Lol
I wouldn't have put my home address on UA-cam just saying
It looks like a gap between the sluice and the flare. Could gold get lost right there?
James I found a way to double your gold
It's a new mat I use in my sluicefox
That seeds down my sluicebfox
Nice! Its cool ya find gold in wv regardless. Never seen one with that flare. Me and my buddy ran a traditional sluice fox that another buddy lent us for the day. It did purdy daggumb good and I was actually impressed with it. Peace James 🤘⛏🇺🇸
I bet you lost at least as much because it wasn’t longer! I think if it was 5’ long and better water flow then it would work better
Lmao u about lost ur water pitcher. I’m new to prospecting, but does the movement of the sluice while classifying concern you
You can definitely loose gold if it shakes around too much, but gentle shaking will settle already caught gold deeper into the miners moss.
Thay should drop the classifier down closer to the water so it can self classifie that'll be 😎
Very cool sluice bud 👍
Thank you very much
You need to do a review on Keene engineering equipment in chatsworth, ca
Nice idea with the classifier 👍! I'll be giving a sluice fox sluice away when I hit 500 subs!😎
Awesome! I really do like the speed flair

May there always be gold in your box!
It's got all kinds of spots that hold gold!
cool stuff, Thinking about getting a sluice fox, Thanks for posting:)
Thank you for watching!
Is the water volume too much or running too fast?
where can i buy a tool like that i come from indonesia
James I'm about to do a video on some

It's going to be this week end I hope

I'm looking forward to seeing it brother! Hope you have a great time!
Water not flowing fast enough!
You got a gravel bar along the river somewhere, lol
Love it, still trying to figure out how to order one.
I cant wait for my set up to get here im gonna hit the creek for days 🤘⚒️✨
Epic!!! Let me know how it goes!! Best of luck to you friend!! I really appreciate you watching!
Very cool man that creek is a beauty . Happy pans friend
Thank you very much for the kind words
Got too find out how deep the bedrock is, lol
Not bad , bud I got better one
And leaves the gold behind
Tried it and gave it away. A toy.
Still haven't got yourself that plasic coffee can yet
Oh you may still need to drink that coffee ☕ yet 😆
I do love my coffee! Ha ha.. Just gotta empty the jug!
@@adventuretimeprospecting I have about 10 of them

It's a great little sluice! I'm sure you'll enjoy it, and find some gold! Let me know how you do!
Looks like a good gift for someone. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks for your time!

Way too many ads.
Right on
James I'm going to get me a speed flair
For my sluicefox
You're gonna really love it! I'll be trying mine in Ohio soon! Heavy pans my friend!
James this is James Fish with that 8 foot sluicefox I took out the ripple trays
And the minermoss and I put in a matting in each piece 24 inch sluice now
My sluice cuts the materials your running through your sluicefox it allows
The material to go into the vee matting
Allowing the material flush out the sands and tiny gravels and dirt
COOL
Might give U a tip, wet ur sand before sluice that way flowergold wont float away. Might catch some more. But love the sluice might get one
Can’t wait for my speed flare to get to my house! You love my sluice fox, so it’s great to see someone else using one. I like your take on getting outside and just enjoying nature and the things you can find out in it! Great video.
James I took out my ripples and my
Miners moss and I bot 3x4 foot of
Matting and I'm going to do it like
That for fine gold
Where you finding Au in WVa? I never found the much geology to find gold,, coal yeah gold not so much !
The gold I find is eroding out of quartz conglomerates, southern WV has many areas where it's present.
Do a search on "Teays River System" . That's when they were laid in..
@@adventuretimeprospecting Groovey ! I missed that when I was at the academy in Beckley
Lol, I was thinking the same thing. "Interesting" when the classifier fit in lookimg throughout the bottom. Great video!
A "Geetar" for catching gold! Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.
it looks good i think if it was set deeper down in the water might work better classifiers with a bucket are down it the water
I fitted a classifier once, the problem I had was if the classifier touched the water, it disturbed the water in the box too much, and if I had it out of the water, when I dumped water in through the classifier it washed some of the gold out.

Your heavys and ALLOW the lighter
To flow out and and to collect the
Gold under your ripples
It was supost to say v matting
I've been looking at those on ebay I thought it's smaller now that makes me smile now at how simplified and fun it would be to own one my self 😁
I believe that was a spear head
It sure was sharp! It's safely out of our watersheds now!
The box my metal detector is still around. The cats won’t get out of it .
Will the round flare fit to an existing sluice fox? I bought a regular sluice fox last fall...thought it looks like a cool addition. Great review...I’ll watch anything you review!
It will only work with the speed flare.
Thank you very much for the kind words!
By the way my wife says she works with ur niece I believe she said. They work at elder care in ripley
Sounds right! Lol... Small world! We should prospect sometime.
That's a cool looking sluice that you got there kind of reminds me of a banjo pan pretty awesome. 🤟👍
It seems to work a treat
I like the header idea. I’d be concerned with agitating the sluice while shaking out the screen.
Maybe a bucket with slots in the bottom?
And choice of matting surface
Definitely valid concerns..I've started using it with deeper water flow, and it cleared up perfectly!
My thoughts when watching thinking deeper for more water flow on bottom of classifier. Sounds like you're doing that by your earlier reply. Great video.
Happy birthday James I wish you the
Best
Thank you very much!
You’re getting in the big time James. Got companies sending you products. Awesome job and nice review.

I'm excited to see what happens too! I love equipment that catches super fines! That's all I have here! Lol
Love how the sluice is put together, don't care for the header, other than the way it handles material
Nice job James!🦾⛏️👍
Thanks!
