I love OB because he just nonchalantly tells you horrifying disturbing things like he's ordering food at McDonald's
Ke Huy Quan stole the show and is an excellent foil to Tom Huddleston and Owen Wilson both. A great addition to the show.
I love it on how Oroboros seems to be the only person, in the TVA, who hasn’t had their memory wiped. He was left so much alone, it was like either he was forgotten, or because he stayed down there so much, he never saw or learned anything requiring a memory wipe. Makes sense, since he always has to remember to do all that he does down there. He can recall everything from over 400 years ago, yet people like Mobius can’t.
Fun fact: Ouroboros is the name of an ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail. It represents eternal cyclic renewal.
Did you notice the sign on the floor to the door of the temporal loom? "Entering past this point can increase chance of spaghettification 7000%" lol.
Did y’all catch the History reference on the chicken nuggets ?!??? 1981 was the year they were introduced to the menu, and the guy said “our recently added”(paraphrased) !!!!!!!!!

Loki didn't actually prune himself in this episode. You can see the stick behind him when he starts to dissolve, somebody hit him in the back in that scene. Which works out for him, but it makes you wonder who did it and why.
I think it was his future self
its gonna come to it that Loki is going to have to find himself later on, we're probably gonna hear that phone again to try and find past Loki
Loki is gonna realise that if he doesnt prune his past self he will cause a paradox and a reality where he didnt actually survive the Temporal Loom action

This was the most bonkers season start i've seen in a very long time, if ever. I loved it but i couldn't explain or retell it to someone else if my life depended on it 🤣 We're off to a good start with Loki people!
I loved the contrast between the amber/brown scheme of the "upstairs" and the sharp lines and angles of the war room compared to the greens/blues of the "downstairs" and all the curves and circular elements of the R+A room.
Nothing better than seeing Angela happy!

Two things:
One - I noticed this during your Ahsoka e8 video but just wanted to say your hair looks great!
Two - Some people already pointed this out but when Loki is pruned you can see the light from the pruning stick behind him as his body fades, so it wasn’t him and it wasn’t Sylvie.

The episode doesn’t mention this, but Ouroboros is the traditional name of the World Snake, the serpent eating its own tail. In science fiction of the 50s-70s, it is often a symbol of time travel, paradox, and solipsism.
I don't know if there's a detail that "grabbed me," but I was enjoying Loki's new-found trust in others that is in full bloom here after his development in season 1.
What is spaghettification?
In astrophysics, spaghettification is the tidal effect caused by strong gravitational fields. When falling towards a black hole, for example, an object is stretched in the direction of the black hole (and compressed perpendicular to it as it falls). In effect, the object can be distorted into a long, thin version of its undistorted shape, as though being stretched like spaghetti.
The black hole spaghettification thing is real, at least theoretically. The models, the math, show that if you fall into a black hole, the difference between the strength of gravity at your feet and its strength at your head will be vastly different causing you, or anything, to stretch into a long, thin shape, much like spaghetti noodles.

After breaking my leg in November and being on my ass for months, Loki totally drew me into the MCU along with Guardians of the Galaxy and Daredevil; Loki being the IDEA of the Multiverse Saga has me on the edge of my seat now. more than ever the sets and props for the TVA in Loki strongly remind me of the aesthetic from Terry Gilliam's movie "Brazil," where everything in that "film's future vision" is a more clunky and cumbersome version of tech from the past. pnuematic tubes and especially the giant air tube/duct on Moebius' suit are extremely Brazil-like, and wonderfully Kafkaesque as well.
After the show already has a character called Mobius (Strip) they then introduce Ouroborous? A second loop inspired name can't be a coincidence.
So, the black hole spaghetti thing? If I have it right, as you get closer & closer to the event horizon of a black hole the difference in gravitational attraction across the length of your body increases until the pull at the soles of your feet is so much greater than the pull at the top of your head that you get stretched apart as first the molecules and then the atoms of your body are drawn away from each other in an ever lengthening chain.

"Beautiful Disaster" was the name of my Ska-Punk-Polka band in high school.
Broxton, Oklahoma (from the post-credit scene) first appeared in the comics back in the mid-aughts (around the "Secret Invasion" and "Dark Reign" events). Setting aside a lot of backstory, Thor recreated Asgard in the skies over the town, making it similar to the New Asgard we see in "Love and Thunder".
Did you notice this flies in the face of the time travel that occurred during End Game? This has Buttlerfly Effects where as the time travel in End Game was affecting other universes in the multiverse.

In Greek Myth (Ouroboros) was the name of one of Lokis children. he was depicted by the snake eating its own tail, represented the cycle of life.

Actually, for most shows/movies I watch, I only watch like the first trailer, then don't look at follow up ones so it's more surprising and more time means i tend to forget specifics and just remember the overall vibe and my excitement level. But i managed to avoid all for Loki S2...

Sylvie has been my favorite MCU character by far ever since season one. She's just a total badass on every level. The fact that she's the perfect foil for her male counterpart (and arguably better than him at just about everything) is a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to this season, it's likely going to be nothing short of EPIC and 100% bonkers. However, in episode two... we need more Sylvie!

the spaghetti thing means that as you approach the event horizon of a black hole your body gets so stretched out from its gravitational effects it's like becoming strands of spaghetti.

I collected comics back in the 1980s so I'm pretty steeped in Marvel lore. I read XMen (Days of Future Past met my expectations, Death of Phoenix did not), knew Wolverine's name & history, Daredevil & knew who Stick was, was waiting eagerly for "Avengers Assemble!", recognized Clea's cameo at the end of Dr Strange 2 & knew her significance still to come. maybe there were Marvel easter eggs but they weren't obvious to me. with this being the Multiverse I expect (hope) we will get at least glimpses of various characters' variants but this is Loki's show so I'm betting they'll be brief. we shall see.

After feeling a little Marveled out in recent years, (although i LOVED Ms Marvel) Loki season 2 really was a ton of fun for the season premiere, im feeling excited to see this season and see where it goes into the future from here. cool reaction once again.

I know this isn’t the place and I don’t know how you feel about DC comics but I think a show you would really like on Max is “My Adventures with Superman”. It’s a really funny and warming show about Superman learning how to be Superman. It’s only one season and 10 episodes but it’s so good

Don't know how you feel about subtitles, but if you like the aesthetic in the R&A room I feel you might like Mic-Macs. Maybe for personal viewing rather than the channel as it's in French with subtitles, but it's very quirky & fun. It's by the guy who did Amelie, so sweet with lots of odd characters & a plot that's just the right kind of mad
We did not see Loki prune himself. It could be true that he is there already to prune his "old" self maybe. But it's still a mystery who actually pruned him :)

Yeah... I can't keep up with any of the stuff. I just watch the shows for the enjoyment of the show. And, I let Erik Voss tell me what I missed, and Ryan, from Screen Crush.
As for McDonald's... I believe they instituted the Filet o' Fish for the Catholics who couldn't eat meat on Fridays. It may be weird, but it's actually not that bad. I've always like the Filet o' Fish, but only when it's fresh. (Meaning freshly cooked.) If it's been sitting there a while, it gets very not good very quickly. These days, it's not worth the money they're charging for it. So, I haven't had one in a while. When there's a sale, though, I'll ask for them to make me a fresh one... I'll wait.

Maybe I'm cynical, but I suspect that the TVA at the end of season 1 was not originally supposed to be the past but actually an alternate reality. But then they noticed that people are getting sick of the whole multiverse thing, and perhaps more importantly nobody was happy that the Loki-Mobius relationship would get reset. So they retconned it hard this season to keep viewers happy. ;)

We know he has gone to the past (crack in the floor/O.B.) *&* the future (war room & control room), so I'm guessing he phones himself later in the series, to get himself to the lift/elevator, so he can prune himself... Unless the Sylvie of then was to distract him in the lift, so that very Sylvie could then go back & prune Loki while he was looking at her future past self... 🤔🤯 - I need to go and lay down. 🛌🏻
The continuity team this season are going to be 🤪 by the final episode.
When Loki is time slipping it's basically the same thing that was happening to Miles in Across the Spiderverse.
