I have a question for you case 446 guys,I have a 85' 446 that ran great, then suddenly won't get fuel, has new battery & plugs so I put a new fuel filter in and it's getting to the carburetor but still nothing,it starts for a second with carb cleaner but won't stay running, is a a fuel pump or the carb?? I'd appreciate any input, love your channel!!
You didn't install a float assist spring, which is required with the brass replacement floats for those carburetors. I would be surprised if it is running right.
You have to diagnose the problem throwing money at it and putting new parts on is not a good way to identify the problem but I guess they will need to be replaced one day I guess
Where did you get the float? Exactly what we need. Thanks
I don't remember, it was like 3 years ago. I'd Google Onan B43 float and see what comes up.
The needle and seat usually needs cleaned but those floats don’t just go “bad”. Heck it’s lasted that long

I would guess that the vacuum pulse fuel pump could be bad. It could also have have a bad needle and seat in the carburetor.

Been running good for a year now.
Should have checked the float level before plopping the cover back down, still good video.
