    I see why the last three scenes were cut; they were kinda pointless after all.
    But that scene with Loras and Margaery... They should have kept that in. You really don't see how much Loras loved and missed Renly in the show, and this scene would have showed it very well. Big mistake to cut it.

      Actually sansas scene was meant to show her personnality development from a naive little bird who believes in chivalry to a disillusioned stronger (hooot) woman

      well they ruined the char of Loras when he jumped in bed with the first manwhore he saw. Not as it happens in the books.

      Personally I can't watch these whispering bullshit scenes, I just fast forward. It's always obvious it's nothing relevant in these conversations, and they should have also removed the scene where margaery talks to the joffreys brother in his bed. Completly useless and boring scene.

      It's not useless at all, especially the scene with her and Tommen. Her and Cersei are going head to head and if she can manipulate and influence Tommen before his mother can, all the better for everyone.

  • @ceciled5627

    I think it's puzzling how they put that Sansa-Clegane-Tyrion part, I litteraly just read it yesterday and it was just a Sansa-Clegane part, one of those weird scenes between them that are equally creepy and cute, like he tells her that she has teats now and that he's freaking drunk (creepy), but also walks her safely to her chambers and makes sure the guard doesn't bother her (cute). But here with the extra Tyrion, it makes like a creepy-cute love triangle, even more complicated. But it is still very game-of-thronesy anyway, never being able to decide if anything is good or bad.

      he's a lannister, member of the family that slaughtered her family. she treats him with obedience that implies her gratitude to him but you're a fool if u think she will even love the man who was forced by your enemies to become ur husband.. you're just Sansa-hating right there.

    • @ariochiv
      @ariochiv 7 років тому +7

      ultravioletgaia Who said anything about love? I said she was ungrateful. Tyrion was very kind to her; he never tried to touch her, and went out of his way to protect her (at significant cost to himself), yet she still treated him like "the Imp." And as for the rest, she was still perfectly prepared to marry Joffrey, the Lannister who actually did murder her father in front of her, and had no trouble supporting Littlefinger, the man who betrayed her father in the first place.

    • @ultravioletgaia
      @ultravioletgaia 7 років тому +7

      Arioch IV 'ungrateful' you want her to kiss his feet? are u some kind of masochist to ask that of a girl? she was grateful to him and never insulted him as others had but she will never win her affection bec. he's a Lannister. Tyrion could also exchange her to Jamie but he never did and Sansa never forgot that. If you actually watched the rest of the series after Joffrey ordered Eddard to die she's revolted at marrying Joffrey and even thought of killing him had the Hound didn't stop her; so i dunno where u got that 'perfectly prepared' shit u're saying.. And in her eyes Littlefinger had saved her from Cersei's wrath after Jofrey's death bec. Cersei will never let her live had she stayed with Tyrion in King's Landing. bottomline your hatred of Sansa is absolutely meaningless.

The ruler of harron hall dieing out is definitely the fate that will some day happen to little finger too and I think it was removed because it was such an obvious foreshadowing.

    • @thatweirdgirl8466
      @thatweirdgirl8466 7 років тому

      Blade Rovalty. It was mainly an honor thing. Nobody knew he was gay besides Margery, their grandmother and whoever he was "with" (at least before his trail) And if they were to disown him people would ask why? And House Tyrell would get made fun of for having him in the first place. Tywin was the only other who knew but he's just a good judge of character or in more modern terms "his gaydar is on point" and I think he just kind of guessed and Olena was like "yeah so what your kids bang each other" they are extremely excepting but still even if they weren't it wouldn't have looked good for them to disown an heir for "no reason"

    (No spoilers) before I read the books I could never understand why Sansa didn't go with Sandor but it's because he's a lot less rapey and scary in the show but the situations she's in are the same so it looks like she's making a bad choice but if the Sandor from the books asked you to escape with him well, I don't think I would...

      Ted Cruz that would be if GOT was set in today's society but it's not. It's set in a medieval times sort of world. In the books she was even younger remember she was 11 in the books. In the show she is 14 at the beginning and I think Arya is boated up to 11? (Don't quote me on that) It's been 5 years total time has pasted (source show runners and GRRM) so Sansa is now 19. Marcella is about (I'd say a year or 2?) younger than Sansa so she's say 12-13? When she's sent away to marry. And Lord Frey's newest wife couldn't be much older than them. That's what happened back then. You got married young to men 2X maybe even 3X your age (and that was all if you were lucky) Tyrion is at least 30 I'd say? And she married him and nobody said a thing. Why? Because that's what they did. It's the same thing with Sansa and Ramsey's wedding night. Everyone calls it rape (which again in our time it is) but that's what you did back then. You married whoever you were told to and you had sex with that person whether or not you like, love, or tolerate him. Sansa knew that and that's why it meant so much when Tyrion told her he wouldn't force her to do it. Because that's not what you were supposed to do in those times. If you didn't have children as soon as possible it was shameful to you, your spouse, and both your families. They were supposed to consummate the marriage they're feelings don't matter. Especially her's. That's why she seemed shocked and that's why it was so sweet of him to not do that. Because any other man would've no matter what. We used to do that as people. But we got smart and said "Fuck this" and changed.

Here you can see how he is more than interested in her, i don't remember very well, but i think in the book, there's a chapter where he asked her to sing like a "little bird". Was not the one in her chambers during the Blackwater battle before he left the city? anyway, that scene and the one of Loras with Margaery, should be on the episodes.

      The actor actually plays Loras AMAZINGLY. In the books, he's like 16 or 17. Being one of the best 2 or 3 fighters in the world at 16 has given him a lot of confidence bordering on arrogance, but he's still a 16 year old boy. Moody, hot tempered. If you really watch him, he plays the part of a brooding post adolescent male with fantastic fighting skills to perfection

    • @TeamLexana
      @TeamLexana 10 років тому +16

      It's weird that the Hound would harass her out of the blue but I liked everything else about it. It shows some bite in Sansa when she refuses to sing for him saying she doesn't know any songs anymore and it since it seems it should come before the Shae/Sansa scene it shows another reason why she was so nasty to Shae in their first meeting.
      It also has Tyrion look out for her and how he got the idea to send Shae to her in the first place, on the show I thought it was weird when Shae shows up there out of the blue, esp after Tyrion said he was going to put her in the kitchens in their scene together earlier on. I think it's just sad that Sansa never really warmed up to Tyrion, not romantically or anything because he's too old and in love with Shae but I think he and Shae were probably the only peeps in all of King's Landing that really gave a shit about her.

    I wish they kept the scene with Loras and Margery. Finn's acting tugged on my heart. I suppose I get why they cut it out though. They might have wanted the audience to move on from Renly's death and not give people a reason to be haunted by Renly being gone because that part of the story is finished. Loras wearing Renly's armor during the battle of Blackwater was enough to imply how much Loras loved him and how attached to his memory he was.

    • @ShaunaCheungBoSaanWOGO
      @ShaunaCheungBoSaanWOGO 8 років тому

      Plus, they probably wanted to give more weight to Brienne avenging Renly's death by downplaying Loras's heartbreak.

    In the books Sandor often called Sansa a 'chirping bird' that always 'sang the songs she was taught'. A couple of times he told Sansa to sing for him, and just before he left Kings Landing she did. She was sweet and innocent, she didn't treat him like a dog, and he related to her situation; I think he just wanted to be acknowledged by her on some level.

    Goddamn it 10 episodes isn't enough. almost all of these deleted scenes are worthy of staying. Move up to a standard of 13 or 14 episodes for season 6 and 7 so we can get more.

    What you forget is the moment after, when he removed the knife and she reached up to touch his scars "feeling the stickiness of blood and the wetness that was not blood" (tears). I actually prefer the scene in the book, I think it sums up the relationship between them much better than the series does.

    Margaery and Loras scene should have stayed in, and the Irri and Doreah scene as well. The Sansa/Hound scene would have worked if it hadn't ended with awkward silence on Tyrion. The LF/Varys scene seems more like a proto "Chaos is a Ladder" scene, and I think delaying their trading quips until "Chaos is a Ladder" was worth it.

  • @mallacoda1
    @mallacoda1 11 років тому +3

    It's a scene that fairly closely resembles something that happens in the book. I think it was quite good - it shows how the Hound actually feels himself to be in just as poor a position as Sansa, in that they're both trapped somewhere they'd rather not be, serving people they despise.

    the more GOT the better, its a shame it can only be 10 hours a year- i could do with this for 3 hours every week for the next ten years- such a great show....shame it has to end- the detail in the books allow for so many possibilities. my hope is that while George catches up to the show- rather than jump ahead clumsily and guess what his dialogue will be- (which will never be as good) that they will take a two year hiatus- and give us a couple of seasons of prequel- the story of robs rebellion- and perhaps a story about the trgaryan colonisation. even after the song of ice and fire ends- there are so many stories that are wonderful in this amazing world that he has created.

    And you're completely misrepresenting that scene from the third book. The Hound was very drunk, desperate, almost dying, trying to get Arya to finish him off, and he was rambling about his failures with Sansa, and how he didn't protect her from being forced to marry "the dwarf". Finding out about that marriage was what made him get so drunk in the first place, and get badly wounded by Gregor's men.

    Shame the Loras/Margary scene was cut. At the very least it could be a set up with the armor to use at a later date for peeps to go "yup, no fucking way a human being stabbed Renly, it was dark magic. Burn the witch!" Then again, Melisandra would probably get off on that, lol. I don't think that happens in the books so I guess the set up isn't necessary. The family dynamics of Loras and his sister is good though, sad that was cut.
