I have no good answers. I saw someone claim they were buying both models and knew it was illogical but Mariokart mandated he do so. Such is the power of the blue shell.
I wasn't sure if the tourbillon model shipped out yet or not! I'd have gone for the chrono-only model if I were a bigger Mariokart fan. Thankfully that wasn't my gaming series of note so I was able to resist.
I would guess they will trade more second-hand than new for the cheaper model but not sure it would go up a lot over time. Sort of a watch you either are into the collab or you are not.
@@iio58 correct but this being a cool collaboration and a limited edition it may sell for more on the secondary market. We’ll find out soon enough. To your point I think the tourbillon version, although nice it’s a much riskier investment at $25k for Tag with cartoon on top of it.
@@afvro75 yes true. But even without the cartoon, its the Tag and value factor. For example earlier this year when I was looking for a watch for around £18K new RRP, the Tag titanium tourbillon was a choice, but due to the tag devalue factor I opted for a Red Gold Chronomat instead. Although I don't expect my watches to go up in value - especially Breitlings,, at least the slab of hefty gold will retain its value haha. Saying that though, the Monoco McQueen and Seamaster 300M I got this year before the price increase, with discount for buying both at the same time mean now they're increased RRP on each is 1100 more than I paid. So that was an unexpected winner - going up in RRP just 5 weeks after my purchase was defo a good thing :)

This is for fans, not investors. Tags aren’t good investments anyway
