i love sponsored videos when the information in it is actually helpful! Kudos
Glad it was good. I don’t massive like to “sponsored videos” about the product. Mainly as so many others will have review it. So I try and make them useful videos
got to say the underneath lighting looks amazing really sets it all off.... looking at putting a similar setup on a kia picanto camper im doing, thanks for this :)
Thank you very much, I love it mainly just for taking photos of the van with them on
Inspired use of relays! simple to replace and troubleshoot too. Has given me some ideas for when i do my lights too. Thanks for sharing Alex and loving the rock lights!
Thank you very much. Probably other ways of other ways to solve this issue such as diodes or a mini computer. But having lots of relays I find them east to understand and use
Auxbeam: Which lights do you want? Alex: *All* of them! Great video again Alex.
Pretty much! You don’t ask you don’t get
Love it, great job Alex, thank you so much for including the wiring layout.
No problem at all, glad it was helpful
I wish I was cleaver enough to do this 💡 I’d love all this on my van 🚐
Your van looks pretty rad now, Alex 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! All the lights
Now you can see EVERYTHING 🤣 awesome video bud!
I really can’t have any more light! But pretty much I can see everything!
I really can’t have any more light! But pretty much I can see everything!
Nice to see another techie van video
No problem at all. I try and make techie video still when possible
That explains the lights under yeti at the vanlife festival. 👍
Pretty much why I wanted to add them
@@MispronouncedAdventures I must say they look really great.
Now you do many things outside the van, Cheers!🍻
Cheers for the help!
@@MispronouncedAdventures You're welcome! Glad to be part of this build🥰
No such thing as a boring Alex video, come on. Brilliant and interesting as always bud. Helps out big stile with ideas and how to fit them out easily and safely. Hope you're having a wonderful time exploring at the moment, pictures you have posted so far are brilliant and a bit scary (big female spiders haha) Safe Travels Alex 😊
Thanks for watching! That’s what I wanted to make a Video to show different ways to wire up any auxiliary lighting. Glad you’re enjoying images
Great video. Didn't understand a word of the technical bits, but lights look good.👍
Thank you very much! I am happy with how the lights look and their functionality
Really nice wiring tutorials. I don’t know if I’d personally go with auxbeam. The Amazon reviews paint a very different picture compared to the sponsored UA-cam videos I’ve seen… still this video can easily be used as a reference for any lights so thanks for sharing.
Each to there own on the Auxbeam lights . That is the reason I try and make the videos more generic wiring on how to install auxiliary lighting opposed to particular product. Personally I found that they are a fairly decent brand and I’ve had none fail on the testing I have given them
very cool 😎
Cheers!
Giving me ideas now haha
That’s the point of my channel! Hope you come up with something cool
Great meeting you at Camp Quirky, this video inspired me to buy auxbeam lighting and the 800 controller. Quick question, how did you get them to flash to the music, many thanks Mike
Great to have me you as well! The 800 is a great unit, it’s not flashing to the music it’s just flashing in general.
In settings, you can change each button type to be on/off, momentary or pulsed. The flashing was changing the lights to pulsed mode.
This 5 pin relay is I'm learning.. interesting
They are a useful relay
interesting use of relays, certainly helpful though. Did I miss the video on the bonnet mounted lights and where you sourced the brackets? Struggling to find that......
Apologies, just seen this comment. There’s no particular video on the bonnet mounts there made by Wheeliams but they featured quite a lot during the second Arctic series.
Hi. Do you mind me asking what size wire you used for you light bar. Cheers
😍😍 Nice👍 but stop it!! you're costing me a fortune🤣
I love all the lights
Were you travelling through Basingstoke today? Swear I saw your Van on the A30 a few mins ago.
Indeed I was! Good spot
@@MispronouncedAdventures Glad i'm not going mad - said to my kids as we drove past, 'I swear that's the van I was just watching on youtube' (Doing a mk8 conversion myself). If your passing though any other times would be great to have a nose round the van and get some inspiration!?
Hi Alex, did you import your auxbeam from the states?
No, the video was made working with Auxbeam. It was shipped to me direct from China and not a European distributor
@3.05 Alooominum :)
I’ll say both versions to make my North American viewership happy 😂
Hi mate! I have a similar van. Can you let me know how/where you mounted the rock lights? Currently debating where to mount.
Cheers
Mostly mounted with bolt or self tappers into the inside of the wheel arches or plastic trim under the van
@@MispronouncedAdventures perfect many thanks.
whats the victron thing you plugged into your Jackery
It’s a Victron ip22
230V AC to 12v Dc 30A power supply or battery charger
@@MispronouncedAdventures ah right
is that tehe blue smart one?
Yeah. Here’s the part number “BPC123047022 - The 30A Blue Smart IP22 6-stage battery charger with built-in Bluetooth”
@@MispronouncedAdventures thanks will take a look at it
Are there wireless kits available 😊
As in the control panel?
@@MispronouncedAdventures as in outside lighting.
It’s can all be turned on and off wireless via the app if I want on the phone which is part of the Aux control panel which all the lights is wired too
👍🏼 🚐 💡
Thank you
Alex wer can I buy stickers please?
Can’t you just use your phone app instead of that relay etc?
Wanted extra physical switchs, having a pull my phone out and find an app takes more time
I'm a little disappointed with these LED ramps!
I have yet to find one that provides concentrated light that takes over where regular high beam leaves off! It's a rather important setting that makes sure you don't see badly when you have to dazzle when meeting!
They were actually better, the old-fashioned rally lights that formed a circle at a distance of several hundred meters, a single one would light up 1200 meters and I had three until the stone shoots and laws took them... But with 2x130 Watts normal high beam and these 3 extra lights in addition, it was I was pretty happy until I overtook a truck that had eight extra lights and made my lights look off... Hope I find some concentrated (ONLY) LED lights eventually because with 1.1 million lumens in the way of lamps, it should go get good light with the right reflectors because they should be for safety and not reduce safety!
Congratulations to the reversing lights, which are an absolute must on cars where you can only use the side mirrors!
The reason I like this lights which doesn’t show at all in the videos is the light bars have different lenses. Center is spot and other edges is flood.
I’d would like two large rounds mounted in the grille areas.
Reverse lights are so helpful
@@MispronouncedAdventures First, I want to thank you for your response and good and sensible attitude!
If you or anyone else happens to find ramps that are pretty much spot-only (and of really good quality that light up to the horizon) and at least a few hundred thousand Lumens I would be really grateful!
I need light even in pure self-defense as my migraines are triggered by glare and motorcyclists live dangerously, I probably end up in the wrong lane as I am forced to close my eyes when meeting!
But if you have a good light yourself, the oncoming ones usually dazzle in good time and even if they don't, I'm not affected as much! Saw the explanation for why so many people seem to have too high low beams, it was because the LED lights would have to be as thin as the halogen wire to be able to give a sharp demarcation! Nicely enough, my 1.1 million Lumen lamps happened to be the thinnest, but the generator doesn't really want to be enough as the lighting on high beam draws well over 1000 W plus stereo on the same amount so extra charging is needed which I have forgotten several times and overcharged batteries so they have broken... If you find the round ones put as many as you have a place for and as high up as possible! My old favorite was Hella Rallye 2000 spot who lighten up 1,2 Km I only had room for three of them! Here in Finland, they got ridiculous rules that say that you can only have a certain reference value and that you actually have to have the extra lights behind the front wheel line! It was probably only the old HI-ace that ran on it? An EU law that Sweden refused with reference to the moose danger, but Finland expects the whole country to be like the capital and there must be no moose! But I happen to live in the area with the most moose accidents in all of Finland with many deaths, I myself managed once thanks to driving approx. 200 Km/h and many other times thanks to my illegally bright lights, usually I steer away rather than brakes and so far have been successful while my brother and father have survived by refusing to wear seat belts and have been able to throw themselves under the dashboard….
