I go to my local Goodwill and look for cheap clothes made of wool. There is a variety of colors and plaids. Take it home and remove the lining buttons etc. Then wash it in hot water and dry in the dryer. Felted wool!
You are awesome. I have been looking for someone to explain these "horribly" written buttermilk basin patterns. You explained everything. Thank you so very much, and I learned a new stitch. I am new to your channel, I of course subscribed! Thank you for taking the time to just walk a beginner through wool applique, I bought 3 ornaments or so I thought, I received patterns. :)
I have wanted to do a wool piecing project but that stitch is really hard for me. I need to practice practice practice to get to the "relaxing" stage. Thanks for sharing.
I love the idea of wool applique especially something to do during the cold winter months. Comforting in a way. Thank you so much for your variety of tutorials. They are so inspirational and informative. xx
So glad you showed this! I purchased 2 wool appliqués (a mug rug & a candle mat) at a quilt show 2 years ago, opened the packages, felt a little intimidated since i had not done it before & put them in my craft closet. I’m going to grab those today & actually try to work on 1 of them! Thanks for the inspiration❤️
I love doing woolies. That is my name for these projects. I too have cut many circles and stars. However I have made some beautiful things. I want you to know that I learned something’s from you, or maybe reminders of what I need to do. In fact I’m going to get a project out right now. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of something’s I forgot. Awesome.
Thank you so much for the variety of tutorials! I love wool applique but have normally had a kit so it was nice to see you do it from the beginning with just a pattern as I have a couple patterns.
Artie...I LOVE this tutorial!! It's right up my alley and I don't have to wait to cross stitch anything!! Thank you for all you do on your channel! It's marvelous!!
I’m loving the variety of your tutorials Arttie. You’re inspiring me to hunt out my appliqué work. I love primitive. Simple and effective. Much love Gail xx
Thanks for the tutorial. I just bought my first kit but it is flannel (not wool). How would you suggest using freezing paper since I can’t iron flannel (so I’m told). Also, it has several pieces, so I assume I start from the largest pieces and work up on the pieces? Thanks for explain the hem stitch.
Another great tutorial! So stinkin' cute, but I DO NOT need to add another hobby. 😆😂 But loved watching!
I am with you there!. Lol 😅
Again another Great video. TYFS and the inspiration and variety. (Pauline S)

Tip: wash and dry wool in a pillowcase to contain loose threads.

Black sequins would make a cute mouth on the snowman.
I Love Your Tutorials 💙🪡🧵 …

I use freezer paper a lot! Buy in bulk break down wrap in freezer paper and freeze 😊
Job well done! How good does he look when you finished him off.
I showed him finished on Monday February 14th video.

You can use a light iron on flannel. Just enough to get the paper to stick. It won't take much.
Thanks for sharing.
