    Typo at 2:00. The M6 uses 2x 2280 NVME drives, not 2242

    Finally got a good idea on how it N200+DDR5 (single) VS N6000+DDR4 (Dual) looks like. THANK YOU!

    One warning: 2242 sized SSD's are like double the price per GB to 2280 SSDs. I know because I had to update my parent's thinkpad.

    • @Robtech

      This uses 2280 SSDs.

      @@Robtech Hmm your video at 2:00 mark shows 2242 graphics unless you typo'ed that

      I did. Dammit. I'll pin a comment. Thanks for pointing it out

      It is 2280 , if want to get cheap 2242, maybe scrap the 2242 disk from saberent external ssd , it is cheaper than buy a drive separately

      AliExpress also sells them at a decent price.

    Thank you for review. Add some tech specs compare with N100 and/or N300. After video I visit ark.Intel to determine that only difference between n100 and n200 is 24 vs 32EU in iGPU

    so many of these mini pcs now, I imagine apple could make an amazing compute stick with their M processors

    I've seen the N300 in an Acemagic product, a new mini PC that they released that has a screen, will one day try this new CPU

    • @Robtech
      @Robtech  7 місяців тому

      The N305 I've reviewed has a slightly higher all core turbo frequency (3.20GHz vs 2.80GHz). The N305 will have up to 10% better multicore performance, otherwise they will be pretty similar.

    Fan noise after a few months of ownership is horrendous. Fan runs at full speed no matter what level of activity. I've had to hide mine away out of sight to reduce the noise.

    Please note LP DDRx is not as good as standard ram. It is much higher latency.

    I enjoyed the video. Is there a wake on LAN function?
    I purchased this product in Korea and am waiting for it to be delivered.

      It has WOL function, but also has many problems, see my comment here.

    So iGPU N200>N100>N95 ?
    CPU N100>N200>N95?
    How does it compare on video editing ?

    • @Robtech
      @Robtech  7 місяців тому +3

      Thermal throttles with power limit increased on both minis tested with N200s. So, I don't know its actual performance. Going by Intel's specs, the N200 should outperform the N100 in CPU tasks when properly cooled by a few percent. Scrubbing video performance similar. Exporting on this one is worse when comparing the best N100 minis.

    Having a time finding hard numbers. Are the M.2s both PCI-e 3.0 2x or is one 4x? Thinking about adding a riser for external GPU...

    This unit seems a bit of a strange mix: The N200 seemed promising, as did the fan (which I think is unusual in this form factor), and while I agree that having two 2280 drives that are so easy to get to is nice, when taken as a whole this unit feels like 'not enough'. This definitely feels like a case of managing one's expectations...

    I recently picked up the GMKtec N2 with the N100. Better performance, and fan noise is negligible.

    Is the SATA M.2 slot present in M6 M-keyed or B-keyed? In other words, is it compatible with NVME M.2 SSDs?

    hmm I bought Melee 4c with n100, and I'm surprised that n200 on this mini pc is little worse at default .
    I'm still waiting for my new tablet Star lite MK V with the N200 intel, hope will be good device.

    • @cirozorro
      @cirozorro 7 місяців тому +2

      Agreed! the n200 should win by default on everything as it has 300MHz more single core turbo, 400MHz more all turbo frequency and its iGPU is 8EU more. Looks like the cooling solution and bios tuning are to blame for its poor showing.

      Yes buddy but see all of mini pc are Intel N series (N100,N95 & N305) which all have efficiency core top at 3.8hz.
      However as per rumour upcoming Intel have core 3 100u (which is 6C/8T 4 performance core. So i'm hoping we can see mini pc with performance core by the way you can prefer me Ryzen but Intel's simulator are good 😅😅

    Raspberry pi 5 are dead ever since these minipcs exists.
    2.5g ethernet by itself is a win.
    rp5 execs are still living in 2013 with $150-200 all in price LOL.

    I have one with N6000 CPU and SATA SSD as default option with secondary nvme slot
    Hate it! Worst mini pc i ever have!
    It's not quiet! It produces very annoying constant pitch noise.
    Also, it has a fast nvme overheating (i have a WD PC520 nvme and made a cooler from an aerosol can for using it in this pc)
    Also it's my first device which has a problem with my type-c portable monitor. It's not working via type-c with morefine because of lack of power... I need to use external adapter for powering my monitor and type-c dock-station for convert DP in type-c to hdmi for use 2 monitors. It's not compact: more cables, power adapters...
    Also it has activated windows 11 onboard without any keys in bios...
    Morefine m6 - never again!!!
