I graduated from BYU and had to pass fourteen University credits in the Mormie religion. One of my professors told me that if I converted, I would pay less tuition. I said, "I don't pay tuition; I am on a full ride with stipend." As if I would change religion to save money!

I have lived here for the past 10 years. It is getting pretty insane. They keep building like crazy in the barren desert. RE "luxury" speculators and vacation playground fortune seekers under every rock. There are not enough services. Not enough food stores. Wheels dependent everywhere you go. The roads are getting very crowded. Basically, St. Geo has doubled in size since 2014, but the other infrastructure is about the same. I am looking for a better place.

I don't know, I was raised in Northern Utah, and I know mormons when I see them, and these two people interviewed in this vid most certainly talk and dress just like mormons. Could they be?

    We appreciate the LDS designation.
The Members are or should be accepting of all.
Read the 13 Articles of faith. Those are the standards we live by.
If your looking for perfection in the members then your gonna be greatly disappointed. However, most try their best.
The Reality is the Church is about worshipping Jesus Christ. And like Jeremiah 17:5 says; Cursed be the man the trusteth in man.

It’s heartbreaking the racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia that come out if the Mormon church. They have Jesus in the title but refuse to follow his top commands and fruits of the spirit:(.

Who in the Church today is like that?

If we want to be politically correct and be respectful with how people identify themselves, let's be consistent and at least use the correct term, the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints.
With regard to racism, the early members of the Church were persecuted and driven out of Missouri/Illinois because Joseph Smith was an abolitionist, a very progressive stance considering it was decades before the Civil War. He even ran for President on that platform. It's interesting how the persecution and criticism today is now reverse of what it was back in the 1800s.
The Church is very supportive of women pursuing education, serving leadership roles in various capacities, and also claims the largest women's organization in the world (Relief Society). One doctrine that is not talked about often is the belief of a Heavenly Mother. In my opinion, this is one of the most progressive forms of theology that is not appreciated enough but of course it does not fit the "extremely sexist Mormon Church" narrative.
The homophobia and transphobia is overblown. I lived with a roommate who was gay at BYU and have a close family member who is gay. All of my friends/family who are members of the Church have shown nothing but love towards them. I've been a member my whole life and I never heard a church service where I heard derogatory or critical things of those who are part of the LGBTQ community. Utah in fact has one of the most progressive laws that help the rights of the LBGTQ community, more so than liberal strongholds like California and Massachusetts. For perspective, do you know how extreme some Muslim countries are with their laws and beliefs regarding the LGBTQ community?

Every president before Russel used the term and Gordon chastised Russel for trying to get rid of the name and said there’s no better name than Mormon meaning more good. Thomas, presumably with Russel too, since they like to claim to be in agreement all hearing from Christ to run the corpora, spent millions of tithe dollars in “ we are the Mormons” campaign.

Mormonism teaches not to follow what their dead prophets taught, but what the living prophets teach. So Nelson trumps Hinckley. So on and so on.

They don't read or trust the Bible much. A Christian could share the true gospel by teaching from the Bible and helping them trust in what Jesus and His disciples taught. To see clearly that Mormonism isn't biblical Christianity.

Sorry but this constant name changing is ridiculous. Why not just own the word? What should I do with my copy of Mormon Doctrine? Burn it? What about the "I am a Mormon" campaign? Only about 10 years ago! And the name of the Church is too long, but we all know where they're going: They're waiting another decade to re-brand again, to Church of Jesus Christ.
