I recently purchased a pair of sneakers from Louis Vuitton and was amazed by the quality. It's really captivating to see the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and precision in the creation of a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes.
Made in Italy is just a false moniker of quality, it is essentially “made in China” because most of the workforce comprises of Chinese migrants and expats. The quality control and the amount of time each article has for assembly is what distinguishes the shoes, obviously the materials are going to be in line with a higher caliber than what you typically find in Asian countries, but not in all cases.
Now that's what the word quality means ! Hand-made by true experts ! Louis Vuitton shoes is like a mercedes or Bentley in cars ! Thanks a lot for the video man I'm so impressed
That was simply amazing. The craftsmanship, the focus, the intimacy, really quite moving if you ask me, lol!!! It was almost like watching a “Ballet” of sorts. I know I must sound kinda creepy going on about the making of a pair of shoes, but, I really appreciate artistry, in all of its many forms. Be well.
Nothing creepy whatsoever about your analysis of this. In fact, I feel like your statement is spot-on. It was a BEAUTIFUL experience watching this unfold.
***** Designer labels are not known for quality. If you want quality you're better off buying from brands that specialize in the garment you're looking for.
***** When the company first started in 1854 Louis was only concentrate making his trucks to the rich and royal families and shoes was presented to the world only for a decade or so.
usernaames That is not true, because people won't spend over 1k for a pair of shoes that isn't "high quality made". Do you really think people that buy LV shoes are simply only because of the brand name?
That is a classic example of a person taking pride in their work, & what they do for a living. You know he's serious about his work when you wear a Lab Coat. Worth every Penney, & then some.
These shoes are like Bentley cars, beautifully built and the attention to detail is extraordinary. However just like Bentley cars, more than half of the costumers buy them just because of the status and image it gives. The only thing they appreciate is the badge, they do not care about how they are made and how beautiful these things are. Sad story, and please stop the hate, not everything is made in china, nor should it be like that either. It is somewhat sad that so many things are no more locally made anymore, if you love your country buy local items when you can because it shows that you actually care. Think about it, if people did not buy those shoes then all the brilliant workers who have worked in those factories for years and maybe even generations would be out of job
You are ABSOLUTELY WRONG . I don't think you ever use high-end couture products because you're not rich enough . If you're rich enough , you'll know what is the difference .
Great to see all classical authentic techniques are shown in us in this video, BUT where is the goodyear welt at 2:54 when he glues on the sole? It seems as if hes making two different kinds of shoes or something because some weird stuff is going.
Louis Vuitton has the highest quality control of their products. They're not just "Any hand crafted shoes" that you can get from India or China or whatever third world countries you're thinking. When you know more about Louis Vuitton then you sure will be more appreciate the brand.
+Raj Tated , With all due respect, India does have much going for it, but quality, of this refined level is not one of them. I purchase many products made in India, and what I admire and appreciate is the irregular handwork that is visible in their products.

Porche Carrera You wouldn’t believe how many high quality shoes they make in Italy unbranded at a tenth of the price of a Louis Vuitton... Louis Vuitton you pay the name first of anything else
"Highest quality", I can tell by what you say that you don't know anything about high quality shoes. You can see that he uses quite a bit of glue attach a big chunk of the heel and I did not see a speck of shaven cork. Hand made high quality Italian shoes are made with compounds of leather and or wood so it can be rebuilt when worn down and nailed down to last. The brand Louis Vuitton is marketed to gullible women with their tasteless logo printed all over it but also has a market for fooling dumb men with mass produced aesthetic items that don't know what quality is to take money they don't have. When you're pathetic and think Louis Vuitton shoes are high quality.
Never been a fan of LV for many reasons but I always appreciate artisans & their craft. I once was a consumer of the mass produced items now I rather save & spend on items that will last a lifetime as apposed to buying shoes or clothes that are designed & manufactured to be thrown away.
I had the most comfortable, black and classy LV 11 M shoes when I lived in Paris France. They were about $700/pr. It rained so bad one afternoon that I lost my LV duffle and shoes when a car hit my Mercedes. I was rushed to the hospital. A fractured ankle and grateful to be alive we’re at the top of my list BUT those shoes were MY FAVORITE!! So comfortable I could use them for lunch and dinner or visit family with them. I sure wish LV made them again
How can anyone support a company or design house that burns their unsold merchandise at the end of the season? There's something wrong with a society that thinks this is acceptable...
This happens with all types of merchandise. I first found out about this happening to school books that don't get sold, edited, and republished with very few changes the next year. Capitalism at it's finest!
According to Louis Vuitton, the material costs less than $30. They order standard leather for their shoes and purses, what you're paying for is the brand name.
I'm sure they still make a good buck, I used to work for Gucci and Hugo Boss they pay crap at first as a salemen but as you move up in the company they pay better and batter
If you’re selling for 700$ and paying 70$ to make that’s not crazy margins. They have to pay employees on every part of the line from manufacturing to selling which considering they don’t sell that many products per hour is a lot. They pay for stores and have to make that money back. They pay overheads (shipping, lighting, storage etc) They spend a long ass time handcrafting these items it’s not like they pump out 100 and hour. When you think about it fast food is a much bigger rip off. McDonald’s pays a couple pennies for a large sofa and charges almost 4$ think about dollar drink days they still make astronomical profits and it’s usually atleast 2-3x the cost. Just it’s cheap so no one thinks about it. It’s expensive so to the consumer it may not be worth spending the money but after watching these videos it makes you realize it’s really not that unreasonable to ask that much money.
