Why do none of these shows ever mention that Morgan is the only player that does all the dirty work up top, and with her on the field opens up others
It’s remarkable to me how many people don’t see the tremendous amount of work she does off the ball that makes scoring possible for other players.
Ankle injury at that age I'd question it too
I think part of the problem is that she’s historically been known as a scorer and we haven’t seen much of that in her lately. But you make a good point about her making a difference, just in a different way.
I think the lack of criticism of Morgan being selected over others, given her lack of form and lack of availability, is weak. I get she is a legend, but at some point this team should be a meritocracy.

Morgan is needed on this Olympic team! Her leadership will be invaluable even if her minutes are

I've followed the USWNT since 1991. It's not fair to judge a coach based upon the roster that she names to a camp on the 1st day of her employment. However, that's all I have at this point. So, I start out as so unimpressed that I have no present desire to follow the team. I have an open mind, but she will have to win me over.

If Morgan weaver was not injured she would have been on the USWNT…this team is not any better younger it will take time and years before they get better. I am sorry but the USWNT is not gonna win in 2027. Just my opinion.
What have you seen that would make you say that about Weaver? She’s had a really rough start to the season and came in out of shape… I think her best shot was when she got called up in 2022. They will likely look younger unfortunately. Don’t think people realize Weaver will be 27 this year…
