I commented elsewhere that Emma is not as forthcoming with what she has to do and the plans for the team as US press were expecting from Twila Kilgore. She is very used to distraction as a way of keeping things going how she wants, but then she looks like a really good parent who would have that sorted. She will not care what anyone else has to say, but will focus on how to get results. I hope that ordinary folk in US will take to heart her no nonsense, get the job done, British working class attitude, which seemed like what most Americans that I enjoyed meeting were like, all over the US. Given chance, I am certain she would bring the game to girls and boys from all backgrounds and have a new generation of talented young players giving the rest of the world a headache at international level in a few years, not with what they said, but with what they did on the pitch.
producers must have insisted on the dumb shoe line of questioning--no way was that chuck's idea. he can't just jump into tactics, specific players, etc since this is just her first week of interviews here.

american media have to ask dumb questions in order to intrigue non-fans. that is the level of non-interest US media has in real, actual football questions. but they will bore you stiff about marketing crap like branding, demographics and other useless nonsense.

She is definitely overrated. Yes, she was incapable of winning the European Champions league, even though she had at her disposal some of the finest players available….How she managed to worm her way into the role of Coach to the USWNT is anyones guess…The English Football Association never sought her services as Coach to the Lionesses that’s for sure.

It's more leaving Lynn Williams off the roster for this camp. I'm hoping Hayes at least talked to Williams and perhaps told her to hang tight, stay fit, focus on the league for now and she'll see her in Paris later. Morgan makes sense to me as the experienced grizzled veteran there to help break in the new kids to Hayes' way of doing things and Dunn is a beast all over the pitch so she is invaluable. She can play anywhere!

Vlakto was a good coach. Nobody could score on this team when he was there...
@@o-m9423 he taught the Nats players nothing. they played plodding, uninspired football and he couldn't make mid-match corrections when it counted.
