For anyone confused about Omega’s “kill the normal Summoned boyos” effect, that has to do with the glorious LOOOORE, that being that Vylons were created to fight the Steelswarm, an archetype which basically doesn’t want to special summon its main monsters.

Tired and cynical all shapes that are Euclidean in their geometry have edges. Only Non - Euclidean shapes (anything curved, round, or not straight) fail to have edges. Therefore, Vylons are actually edgier than Cyberdarks.

Fun lore fact: Some Vylon monsters were turn into equipment that helped out other duel terminal tribes, those monsters being sphere, prism, stella, and tetra. Sphere was given to reeze, whirlwind of gusto and with that became Daigusto Sphreeze Prism was given to gem-knight crystal and became Gem-Knight Prismaura Tetra was given to Gishki Noellia and became Evigishki Tetrogre And finally Stella was given to laval cannon and became laval stennon.
My ability to enjoy this review as a funny roasting of old cards was severely dampened this time around by just how absolutely magnificent the art is on almost every Vylon. I seriously hope they get link support just so I can see what a Vylon link monster looks like.

Going second, you can pop your opponent's Field Spell to search one of your own, then use the free Special Summon to set up more combos if you don't mind giving up the Battle Phase. Going first, the Special Summon is basically free, and you can pop your own Field Spell to search out another one and trigger any floating effects (especially helpful if the Field Spell has a soft-once-per-turn on it, like Spyral Resort). Plus, it's an easy level 7 Synchro, so most decks can make it, or even make multiples or revive it and go again, since both its effects are soft once-per-turn.

Vylon Prism is thunder type and has crystals because it's one of those Duel Terminal lore cards representing an alliance between two factions, in this case Vylon Prism and Gem-Knight Prismaura represent an alliance between the Vylons and the Gem-Knights against the Steelswarms. Actually kinda clever since a prism is both a class of shapes and a type of crystal.
