No surprises. I read African Holistic Health in the 90’s. Still cannot get over commercial peanut butter. Traveled to 8 countries in Europe and the taste of the first thing I ate was mind blowing. I am leaving soon for a month in Paris and I am so looking forward to the marchés with the fresh fruits and vegetables. Real, unadulterated food. A character on one of my favorite shows based in Paris said it best said this about the American food industry “ you create the problems with your food then you create drugs to fix the problems you created”. This is so well said. They know our food is unhealthy and is killing us. But our health and longevity was never the goal. Corporations getting rich was always paramount.

My husband is really limited on what he can eat, as he has celiac disease and is allergic to oils, sugar, dairy, etc... and I have diabetes, so I have been using organic stevia since it's "supposed to be a natural plant"... ugh.... seriously... we eat organic grass fed beef, eggs, nuts, cheese, avocados, lettuce and tomatoes, mostly... and now I need to know what, then, are we supposed to eat... he is allergic to most fruits and some veg.

I bake with the King Arthur's organic whole wheat flour, but now I'm wondering if it's really organic. Dr. John Bergman had a two week old McDonald's Happy Meal that had sat on his table on one of his videos and the meat, bread and fries were still soft. Shame on the FDA (Fraudulent & Deceptive Administration) for not protecting our health by approving these sorry foods.

A BIG "THANK YOU" from a 67-year old retired nurse who DID suffer severely from eating those very foods for many years and came close to dying several times from Congestive Heart Failure/Renal Failure/Liver Failure, thyroid dysfunction and inflammatory arthritis, etc.
Then, when I FINALLY discovered and realized that the contaminated food was the cause of my "diseases/illnesses," I started consuming organic food (CAREFULLY reading labels), eliminated ALL processed sugars and food from my diet, and, not ONLY did I heal my body from all of this "illness," but also LOST 130 lbs. as well. In addition, I tapered OFF and stopped ALL of the pharmaceutical drugs my doctors had me taking which only contributed further to my phenomenal improvement of health.
Most importantly, I am a living testimonial to the accuracy and efficacy of the information that you shared in this video, my friend. Thank you again for taking the time to inform and educate so many. You are helping to save lives and end a great deal of human suffering. 😎👍

For meat, if possible, check into a local farmer and ask if they clean chicken with chemical or bleach, ask what they feed their animals, and shoot for grass fed and grass finished beef. Farmers markets are good too, but ask direct questions. Or if you can, which is what we hope to have one day, a farm, raising our own animals for food. But I understand that is not for everyone. Until then we do local farmers and friends who do have their own farms.

If you want an easy way to look for healtier alternatives, look to youtube channels that focus on eating in Asian countries. Much of the food is with all fresh ingredients there street foods are faster than McDonalds and made from scratch in front of you. Their vegetables are crunchy and flavorful, their meat melts in your mouth. They key is fresh ingredients that are as close to the way nature made them without factory processing. At the very least, go to your local farmer's markets and try to just shop there for your food.

That's right. If we haven't noticed, corporations dominate US gov't policy. Military contractors (Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing etc) dominate US foreign policy. Domestically, Big Ag (Cargill etc) dominates ranching, like Monsanto (now part of Bayer) dominates farming; Big Pharma (Pfizer etc) pharmaceutical production and even medical practice. ... All these corporations spend millions lobbying Congress every year to make billions in profit. When a Congress person runs for office, corporations are more than willing to contribute to a campaign in return for corporate-friendly legislation.
In a huge political science study Drs Gilens and Page ("Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups and Average Citizens" 2014) found that average citizens lose out. Largest percentage of legislation passed by the US Congress (dating back to the '80s) deals with the interests of the wealthy and corporate elites in mind. Gilens and Page work have been supported by subsequent research, if not further it along (such as the work of Luther-Davies, Doniec, Domhoff "Corporate Political Power and US foreign policy 1981-2002 ..." 2022)

@@laurengraves It's primarily because of unsanitary conditions that US chickens are raised in. Even organic chickens are subject to chlorine washing. In addition, however, the previous administration allowed slaughterhouses to increase line speeds, which means more dangers not only to workers but to consumers, as, yes, meat falls on the floor or is inadequately cleaned. The US already has 10 times the food poisoning rate of the UK, even with antibiotic and chlorine use.

Then, a health oriented store announced plans for a location nearby, less than 1/2 mile down the road. The other store then decided it was time to remodel (again, hadn't been long) and included a traditional meat department. Stores and wholesalers ALL want products that can sit on a shelf forever and anything perishable is despised. Much of the toxicity is a result of efforts to eliminate perishablity. If normal bacteria in the environment can't digest that food you bought, why should you think YOU can?

By the time he went back to the states after 2 years he weighed 112kg and was 6ft.
No we are not starving in Nigeria. He ate Nigerian food all through his stay. 3 square meals. His portions where still more than what an average kid his age will eat but didnt make him pack on the weight. We drink a lot of water because of the heat and juice was mostly zobo (sorrell). Yeah we dont drink milk unless in tea. Our cows roam so they eat organic grass and pigs are fed scraps from vegetable farms and kitchens. Potassium bromate is also banned in Nigeria.

I live in the U.S. and my doctor put me on a healthy way to eat whole foods - no sugar. I lost a lot of weight. I was 5' 7" and weighed about 187 lbs. and went down to 137 lbs. My friends have asked me how I became so skinny. Every time I show them how to eat this way, they refuse to do it. The women here in Mississippi are gaining enormouse amounts of weight. They refuse to give up the sugars and other foods that are not good for you. It is very sad to watch this happen. The women are getting very sick. These women were fit and slim just 5 to 8 years ago. They are tired and don't want to do much of anything physical. I am 65 and I look younger than most women my age and I am very active. When I first went to the doctor, I was very ill and could barely walk. Changing the diet to whole foods and no sugar, no wheat, no dairy, no beef, made a HUGE difference. Pain left, I slept better, I was more flexible, and of course a normal weight. It can be done in the U.S. but the problem is most people don't believe the data and if they do, they don't want to give up the foods that are making them sick. it's like an addiction. The information is readily available in the U.S., people just don't want to accept it and give up what it takes to get well. Very, very sad.

That's about 100 % accurate. Except not everyone knows the healthy things to eat as he mentions in this video. They are so tired, overworked, fatigue and more they don't think to look more into there food. The only thing crossing their mind is relax, eat and sleep in the fastest way possible. I personally was super healthy, ate mostly good but not all, 2 years ago. I worked out at the gym everyday and had more energy then I knee what to do with. All of a sudden weight started increasing, fatigue set in really bad where my energy was so hone I couldn't even go to the gym let alone keep a job. It got really bad. I am still trying to recover from it. I have done so much research because I am tired of doctors telling me nothing is wrong when there is clearly something wrong. I have had tests galore done, lab work, anything you can think of done with no results. So all my research has let me to adrenal problems also related my diet (mostly diet) I used to think chicken was good for you, milk even( I had no idea) those so called healthy cereals and wheat bread. All of that is in some wat not good for us. But I love my raw veggies and eat a tone of them and drink a ton of water now. I was also drinking tons of Monster energy drinks and (pills) medication to help with energy just to get me to work which didn't always work out just to learn that taking medications is not good for you either but toxic with what they are made with. It's sick care not health care. It's good to have for emergencies don't get me wrong. I am so upset that I have been astrayed for 10 years thinking I needed zoloft depression medication when truthfully it was prob just the sugar and other toxic things in the foods I ate and my health not great. Now I have side affects and can't get off it on my own and my doctor won't help me. They don't think I should stop taking it because I have been taking it 10 years. No offense but doctors are not like they used to make them. Except for very few. This kind doctor in the video is one of the good actually trying to help us get better not help us stay sick so they can profit more just like with the food.

I noticed right away that something was wrong because I'm used to cooking myself and don't drink sodas nor eat pastries here because they the over-sweetened for my taste...but in the first year I gained 20 Lbs. of weight and started to get rashes and itching very often. Last Christmas I went to Spain. I worried that I would gain a lot of weight, as I always did before because it is a time when Spanish people gather frequently and eat, eat, eat during two weeks of celebrations. I spent a month there, and except for the meals over Christmas, I ate regular foods, always home-cooked. When I returned I had lost 6 Lbs. I was shocked, but it's not a surprise! The problem now is what to put on the table! I'm really puzzled...should I go vegetarian, or vegan? :)) Carmen

Try keeping a food log for a week or two to get a baseline* and then analyze it to see where the problems are. Obviously, eating restuarant, fast food, alcohol, and processed foods adds much more calories and mystery ingredients so minimize that. Although organic meats are expensive, the healthy option is too use meat more as a seasoning in a stew or soup, so although the meat is more expensive, a little goes a long way. For inspiration, look at a Mediterranean diet type cookbook. The standard advice for improving health and lowering weight is to eat more vegetables and fruits, little to no processed foods, no junk foods (chips, crackers) and sweets (candy, pastry, desserts, soda, juice). There are nutritious foods that are calorie dense, such as nuts like walnuts, or fats, like olive oil. Use calorie dense, but nutritious, foods sparingly and measure, as it is easy to underestimate. Adding exercise is always helpful.
*Another benefit of getting a baseline is that you now know how many calories you eat on a daily/weekly basis, so you know what range is necessary to stay within. That is, if your daily calories are 2,400, you can see that cutting 600 calories daily from that would add up to a loss of 4,200 calories per week, initially, or about a loss of a pound a week. Then you keep fine tuning.

I hear ya @Germain. God gives us information to make wiser choices over food choices. I learned about atrazine during environmental chemistry. I’m in doctoral program in chemistry (analytical and polymer). To enhance your presentations use slides and pictures. There is a software called OS studio that helps with this. Thus, as you go through each banned food, people will see a picture or image and make connection with what they have in their pantry or refrigerator. It helps a lot. One thing about Stevia that you might want to look into.....the powdered product is highly processed just as regular sugar is processed, but extracting the sweetness via a tincture is like making tea. It's like the difference between cold processed juices and oils, and heat processed juices and oils. The difference is significant. Extracted Stevia is in liquid form, not powdered like the highly processed form of Stevia. You only need a few drops to sweeten your coffee.

Typing this before watching - FOLIC ACID (already banned in 156+ countries). 40% of population carries some form of MTHFR (acronym) gene which prevents wrong/cheap/shelf-stable but commonly used forms of B12 (as cyanocobalamin in most vitamins & energy drinks!) and FOLATE (as Folic Acid) from being used by the body affecting everything from dopamine receptors to countless other CRITICAL necessary functions in our bodies' methylation cycle. Ex - a dise of a medication stays in the system resulting in a higher dose than prescribed. Not only is the body deprived of the necessary nutrients that kick off other functions over one's life, but cause havoc by remaining in the system and preventing proper chenical waste disposal in the blood, collect in tissues and screw with hormones among other things. EVERYONE should know if they have a version or at least avoid ANY fortified food (FDA mandates folic acid fortification in flour for "women's benefit". Insanely, it's actually responsible for miscarriages in women who carry MTHFR gene (mutation) anomaly. The ONLY safe forms are methylated/bio soluable. Easy blood test can confirm/rule it out. I believe every newborn should be tested at birth! A swab test enough. If you have crohn's disease, autism, thyroid issues, mental disorders, trouble conceiving/miscarriages, etc in the family - shouldn't you at least know? Terrifyingly - even OB/GYNs a d even research papers use Folate and Folic Acid interchangeably. ☠🤦‍♀️

About 10 years ago the poultry growers changed their breeding stock to a rapid growing bird that would shorten the growers ( grow out period) from 13 weeks to only about 7-8 weeks..the old breeding stock was phased out. All The new breeding stock has a connective tissue disorder. This results in a ropey, grainy, tasteless, unhealthy meat. Have you noticed that all the cuts of chicken meat are larger? Also when cooking this highly inflamed bird meat, the water content also comes from the inflammation that the bird had at the time of processing. Clearly our protective agencies are no longer dependable.

The biggest shocker for me was Stevia. Stevia was banned here in Europe shortly in the beginning of its introduction to the market, but now we can freely use it. I occasionally use a German brand called Krüger or Macedonian brand Vitalia, which only have a small percentage of actual Stevia plant, and the rest are other sweeteners, such as isomalt. I had actually tried sweetening my coffee with real dried ground leaves of Stevia, but it was too bitter. The bitterness dominated over some milder form of sweetness, so I discontinued its use. There are some claims on the internet that Stevia may cause side effects but maybe the other sweeteners added to Stevia labeled products are making those side effects. I believe the raw form cannot do harm. I see a big increase of people who say that generally most vegetables contain harmful chemicals and I think that is ridiculous, so I cannot trust those internet claims, so I believe real stevia won't do harm. All in all, most of the time I don't sweeten my bevetages, since I taught my taste buds to get used to bitterness of coffee and tea. But if I do have a strong sugar craving, I will pop some artificial stevia sweetener 😂

If you like honey it is a better substitute for sugar none of those other artificial sweetners are any good. Unless you get real monkey fruit very expensive.

Stevia is a natural leaf and can even help.lower glucose levels. Now, trivia which is a combo of stevia and other products is taboo.

First time watching thank you so much for expressing how toxic some foods are in the US
We can then make better choices when throughly informed. It’s really so sad that it’s come to this
All for the love of profit
How can this be changed ?! And what can we do as an individual to stop them from poisoning our foods?!

Growing up poor is my rock to being healthy because we didn’t eat colorful cereal, dairy and high sugar foods often. And I read and listen to our people’s opinions on health, which are superior to others’ deceitful advice 👌🏽

I'm so happy I found your channel. I've been following a number of other youtube channels, and some of them are very good, some very academic and competent in terms of presenting the science. But you're such a pleasant and friendly host of your channel. I really hope you'll continue to grow this channel, so the knowledge and information you have will go out to those who don't feel comfortable with scientific papers and highly complex chemical formulas and scientific terms.
This is important knowledge and we all (most of us) need to improve our lifestyle and stop doing the 'stupid' things we do out of habit and convenience.
    Greetings from Denmark
(in the EU - yes, also in those countries banning much of American produce, we have exactly the same problems with unhealthy foods and a lack of understanding of the importance of removing certain types of food from your diet).

So thank you for sharing.
