You can break up the cakes with a coir mixture but pf cakes you don’t need to break them up just lay them on foil with perlite and the humidity will introduce pins
I seen someone just put perlite on the bottom ,sprits it with water and covered with the top and fan it everyday they didn’t have holes in the tub so do you even have to add holes??
Anotha one..*dj Khalid voice* Lol I just got done turning a bunch of plaster of paris into pure gypsum powder. I wet it down and ground it back up. Now it dissolves even faster then garden gypsum and I have 4 lbs now that’ll last for ever..for only 6 bucks! I’ll honestly never have to buy that pricey agricultural gypsum again. Plus this stuff don’t contain magnesium (agricultural does) and mycelium hates magnesium (or really any salts) but I uploaded a video on my channel if you wanna watch how I did it. I’ve seen people end up making their substrate hard at the bottom by not turning back into true gypsum with the water process! It removes the crystal silica (binder) so it won’t clump again
My cakes arnt really that solid. Would it be alright to break the cakes up and mix it with substrate like the grain tek? For instance when I go to shake the cakes of the jar, they come out in clumps rather than a whole cake
Maybe get em out mash together,dunk,roll in verm=BRFB (Brown Rice Flour Balls)!!! Ive done it when my dumb ass put brf in regular mouth jar. Or break it up and layer tub & mist and layer vermiculite on top. I don't know, but I do have a friend with brf cakes in their yard, so I heard 🤓🤓🤓🤓

I notice I didn't wet the wood chips cause cause of mold and contamination but really need to. Highlight this was only used on this grow and who know if it even fruited with that dry shit
