Nice thats so awesome!! I will soon be doing my evo 4s main inspection, havent been able to drive it for quite some time due to the engine failing. But now with a "new" engine hopefully i will be able to enjoy it too!
Good job! Building/restoring an FC3S is definitely a steep learning curve. I learned a lot on mine. Waiting to break in the motor is the hardest part. I put about 1000 break in miles on it. The compression really got better after that and it runs amazing. Just make sure to change your oil often, especially if you have flooded the engine, the fuel will go into the oil pan and you don't wanna spin a bearing :)
Thank you very much man! Yes a rotary is for sure something special and there are many things I will need to adjust to. But I am very excited for this journey as I already love the FC so much!🙏
I'm also looking for an FC to work on and seeing you build an FC with practically the ground up is so inspiring and motivating. Thanks for the great content and wishing the best for you and the car!
I’m glad it’s moving and you’re enjoying the car. The only way to get rid of that normal rotary smell that I have found is running e85. I’m not sure it’s easily available over there and it makes you fuel consumption pretty bad but it’s a thought
I also thought about moving to e85 but it will require quite much modification and I'm also not too stoked about the fact that I will have to drive to France everytime I want to fill up my car😂 There you can easily get e85
Respect for the insane editing on these videos, I've been watching for awhile now and every video is a step up from the previous. Keep it up brother, it'll pay off in the end trust🤝
@@moritzherr haha they are about $15kUSD for any k-swapped MR2. I don’t expect them to move very much in the next few years but we will see. The stock ones have already hit their market dip though.
@@moritzherr thanks man, I’ve already spotted one like 3 hours away but I go to that place every summer for vacations, since many old people give in their car for cheap and even free if it’s for locals I can maybe get it at a steal for like 500eur max. All I’m hoping so is to save it because I’ve been seeing it rotting since 2019 and since then I always ended up dreaming of fixing it up and repairing it.
I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I failed my second year of university hard all my grades averaging 27 marks, so I might stay off youtube until I finished all my resit exams, but I'm genuinely happy for you. Congrats on getting your car road legal :)

Awesome to see you reply to almost every single comment? Hope you can reply to mine. I really like a lot of older JDM cars I've loved them ever since I was a little girl. I guess one thing I'm a bit nervous about is the lack of ABS, I see a lot of other girls drive them and stuff and I would love to drive them and work on them as well but Im a bit nervous about that. I have roughly 15k saved up and I could probably afford to get an RX-7 FC, I located a rotary mechanic near me that can work on it but right when im about to drop the gun? shoot the gun? i cant remember the saying lol. i kind of pussy out over the lack of ABS. i DON'T want that to hold me back. and i don't want it to make me scared out of getting a dream of mine. I don't know what to do. any tips on driving a non abs car?
@@Hazel-wj9fw Thanks for the comment!✌️ Personally I've always preferred cars and motorcycles without ABS as it really teaches you how to brake properly. And tbh, I think you shouldn't worry too much... Yes ABS is a nice thing to have however once you get the hang of it, brakes are very easy to modulate without ABS😊 But as a positive addition: Many RX-7 FC's actually come WITH ABS!😁 Depends on the Trim level and production year but mine for example also came with ABS. I even thought about deleting it lol.
@@moritzherr Thanks for the comment back! From what I've been reading it looks like no abs doesn't even help you stop quicker. it's more just being able to move while you stop as well as stop on slippery stuff. I used to do dirt bikes a lot with my big brother when I was younger and I sort of have the idea of needing to pump the breaks on a bike to keep yourself form flying forward and not skid out and spin out. I wont be nervous, I'll probably just take it pretty slow. I don't think im gonna tune it or anything... Honestly the thing im nervous about is figuring out how to work on a rotary engine. I loved the rotary engine cars like the RX-7 and the RX-8 both. i remember seeing those both on gran tarismo when i was younger back in 2004-2006. My brother said he'd help me work on it but it is his first time working on it too. its gonna be a pretty big challange but its sad to see these rotary cars rot out and if i could save one and keep it running that would make ne happy! thanks for the repkly!
@@Hazel-wj9fw I'd say the most challenging part about owning a RX-7 is definetly getting parts for it. They are hard to find and if you manage to find parts, they are pretty expensive. Of course this can vary depending on where you live. What I can assure you though is that working on a rotary is probably the simplest thing ever xD It is just completely different from a regular engine... Compared to regular piston engines, the concept of a rotary is very simple and there is not much that can go bad on them if you treat them right. Even IF something goes bad on them, anyone can do a engine rebuild themselves as it is just like putting together a set of Legos. Sadly there is still this huge misconception floating around that rotaries are very unreliable and fragile. But this is mostly spread by those who wrecked their engine because they just didn't know how to take care of them at all. There are some basic things you should do to any rotary engine but once you get those minor things out of the way, you're good to go and these engines are just lovely! :) I think for getting into rotary cars, the FC is perfect because the engine blueprint is much more simple and it's easier to work on than the ones in the FD or RX-8 but it is still pretty modern compared to the previous iterations SA/FB. I know many people would probably disagree with me on that but in my opinion the FC is just the pinnacle of the 13B rotary. It is modern enough to not share the same quirks as older models anymore but simple enough to have less issues than the FD or RX-8. Btw. loved dirtbiking as a kid aswell!😄
@@HahTube Been waiting for my wheels for over 4 Months now😂 But I don't think it's a very smart idea to put a widebody kit on on of Germany's 26 white FC's🤫 Also completely defeats the purpose of this build, as I wanted to turn it into a Initial D tribute car.
