Here's a little tip, if you turn over the circle before you place it into the circle of the black clay it will fit better, because when you cut out the shape the cutter causes the egde to dome slightly so by turning one of the pieces over you end up with two flush edges the fit together better than if you dont turn one of them over where you have 2 slightly beveled edges together. I hope that makes sense, love your no frills approach to everything you do
Thanks! I appreciate your tutorials. You do not just pretty them up off camera and leave us newbies wondering what to do next.
Thanks so much!
Welcome back! Great to see you again. 🐨👍

Beautiful! I've been wanting to learn how to make trinket dishes!
These trinket dishes are lovely. Very cute yet sophisticated. Thanks for the tutorial.
Just in love with this! 1st one after a bit of a rest. Spectacular results
First, let me say we're so glad you came back. Hope the family back in the UK are all doing well. I have so many tiny canes that I purchased somewhere and this is a great idea to get rid of them. They were really hard when they arrived and I'm not sure but I think the way to soften them is to put them in a zip-lock baggy, sealed well, and let them soften a bit, then cut them. I hope that I'm right. Wish me luck. Again, welcome back, everyone missed you.
Putting them in a ziplock won’t soften them, putting them in a ziplock is what prevents them from getting too hard. Really, the only way you can soften them is heat from your hands. Seeing as they’re already tiny canes, reducing them might not be an option. Try holding them in your hands to warm them up.
Thanks! It’s good to be home 🤍
All the bowls are beautiful. ❤️

💕🎉WELCOME BACK🎉💕💕
That’s really pretty. I’m thinking Christmas ornament with some translucent white clay?
I can’t imagine the frustration of that camera in front of your nose! I would have whacked it across the room by now! Have you considered the go-pro cameras that you mount on yourself? I think there’s one you wear on your forehead but there’s others you can wear around your neck. (I’m thinking the forehead one would provide the most accurate angle.) You might suggest it to Chris as a Christmas gift? Glad you’re back and had a great time. Did you attend the Queen’s funeral?
Not sure I like the sound of a camera being plonked on my forehead…can’t imagine that would be very steady 🤣
No, didn’t go to the funeral. London was a nightmare!
Thanks ❤️
Parabéns
Love, love, love the little ring dishes! Could they be used as a soap dish if sealed probably? I've been trying to get up the courage to make a little dish (bought a little bowl and everything). You've just given me the push I needed! Thank you!
Polymer clay is waterproof, so not necessary to seal! Thanks 🤍
Good to know!
The center resembles a Dianthus blossom.
Love all your tutorials! What is your main work surface material? It seems to work great for not letting the clay stick. I have been using a glass cutting board and I tend to stretch or tear the clay when lifting it.
Thanks!
It’s just a large, ceramic tile. Home Depot.
Did the little trinket dish pop right out of the bowl you baked it in? I can’t wait to try this myself. This is beautiful thank you again for sharing
Yep!
Thank you 💕
Hate when I drop my phone and I lose what I finished watching before I can comment or give a thumbs up. 😢 love the trinket dish, and the lot of them are awesome. Tfs hugs and by the way are you doing a show in California at the kaleidoscope show?? I’m going to see if my sis in law is able to make that one. 😀😊 again Tfs hugs
Thanks!
I live in Ohio…I wouldn’t be going to Cali for a show 😁
🤍🤍🤍
@@clayboutique ohhh got ya, but ya never know ppl come from all over for these shows sometimes so was just wondering. 😀 hope y’all enjoy your show there.
How much clay do you use for each log. Thank you. Enjoy your videos!
As much as you want, really, but I used approx 1.5 strips from a 2oz block of clay.
Deb how much did you charge for this gorgeous piece?
I kept it for myself. In my experience, you can’t get a fair price for dishes.
Thanks!
Thank you so very much, Sheila! 🤍🤍🤍
Thanks
Awww, thank you, Lainey ❤
