There IS sound. UA-cam glitches. If you’re experiencing no sound, refresh.
Thanks for all your support, as usual! Special thanks to those who have donated via the ‘thanks’ button. It’s greatly appreciated, and helps towards the cost of providing free tutorials. ❤️
The ‘thanks’ button is located next to the like/share buttons underneath each tutorial. If you have found this tutorial via a link, you won’t be able to see the thanks button…you need to log into UA-cam directly. You can also support me by liking, commenting and sharing my videos. This helps with UA-cam algorithms and boosts my videos. Thank you!❤
Update: someone just pointed out one of my measuring sticks was 2mm instead of 2.5. Ooops! I guess I need new glasses 🤣. Not that it makes any difference at this point…it’s a done thing. Please don’t do as I did 🤣
I have to rewind every time you ask if your phone has “fogged up”. I guess the accent makes me think you’re saying a different word than “fogged”. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 lmao! F.o.g.g.e.d not fu*&$ 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
It sounds just like effed up. I’m surprised you tube hasn’t said something to you for cursing lol😂
I thought the same, until I just read this comment 😂.
I love watching you work and troubleshoot as you go. You're so clever and have a wicked sense of humour. These are lovely 🥰
Thank you 🤗
WOW!!
These pieces are stunning..
Thank you xoxo
Until UA-cam, bringing me you and a number of other artists, I did not know the proper way to use the various clays with each other. I'm still waiting to dive into the box of Cernit metallics and Pardo clays I've been collecting..Must put together all of the pieces I've already made before running off with another 'mistress'.@@clayboutique
A lot of people don’t know. I have read a lot of Bluebottle Tree articles, and she covers just about everything there is to know about clay.
Thank you for clarifying the baking time when you use Cernit/Primo. You are my go to teacher. Awesome earrings!
These are so elegant. How clever you are coming up with all these good ideas. It must take ages to test out and work through. Thank you for sharing. I'm definitely going to try this out.
Beautiful! I admire anyone who can do what you do behind a camera. Love these!
I cannot wait to try this one - thank you for another beautiful tutorial.
Ooooh! Gorgeous!
Just recently found & subscribed & am going through some of your older videos. I think I love these best of all!
✨🤍✨
Nice and love the new cutters!
These are beautiful Deb 😘 It always surprises me how different translucent clay looks once baked! Definitely going to try these! X
Beautiful! This might be my favorite so far! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent!

Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
This was an interesting process to watch, thanks for all that you do for us Deb! I wish I knew how to do 10% of what you do. 😊
Thank you, Pat ❤️

Stunningly gorgeous as usual 😍 thank you 😊
Thank you ❤️
Super cool! Very festive for holiday gifts. 😘✌
😘😘❤️
gorgeous!
beautiful as usual!
So pretty with the metal leaf. You know, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who can botch up metal leaf as soon as I take off the paper!🤪
Didn’t even finish watching the video and I went and ordered some of the new ones and then came back to watch the tutorial. I’m so excited to get them and start creating. It will be a minute since I’m in Canada, but I know it will be forth the wait 😁
Oh these are quite beautiful! 😊👍
Thank you 🤍
@@clayboutique welcome
Love your videos and creations. Don't fret, gold and silver leaf are difficult to work with. I admire all the UA-camrs making creations on camera. I don't think I could do it. You make it interesting and fun! 🥰 🤪 Derp!!!
THANK YOU! I've wondered about that very temperature combo! I'm a Premo user, but love the translucent by Cernit! As always, fabulous tut, beautiful results 🌹 And ohhhhh my do I hear ya about that metal leaf! Could be said is Abby of us I imagine hehe
I adore how you use “derp”. It’s my ‘go to’, but usually “derpity derp derp derp” 😂 (of course I am 9 months behind. I have so much to catch up on!)
Oh, yes…a ‘derpity,’ and few extra ‘derps’ really helps! 🤣
@@clayboutique 🤣🤣
Just beautiful! 🐨👍
Love this Tute Deb 👏👏👏
Thanks!
I just found your channel!
I liked and subscribed the moment I thought you asked if your phone fogged up again but it sounded like “did my phone f#ck up again”!😂
You do beautiful work and are quite entertaining!
Hehehehe!
Welcome!
they are beautiful!😍
Thank you!
I can't believe you say, "you can't cane" when you put out cane work like this. It's the best work I've seen.❤ Trust me, I've seen a LOT!!😊 I'm in awe of your lovely creations. Thank you!! BTW, I didn't have any issues with the sound or blurry screen. ❤
Thanks, but this is a very easy cane. 😊
Issue with sound/blurry screen? There wasn’t a sound issue/blurry screen on this video…
@Clayboutique Perhaps, you misunderstood me. I did not have any problems with the sound or blurry screen. I could hear you just fine!! I could see you as well. I feel your cane was stunning. I loved it!!
Oh, ok. I went back to watch my vid coz I didn’t know what you meant lol.
Thank you
@Clayboutique very welcome
Those are beautiful
Wow! Beautiful ❣❣❣
These are very elegant and beautiful, I love them. Truly love the toggles and charms too - they add to the elegance. I finally made 2 pieces of polymer clay jewellery for myself, 2 days ago. I've had the clay for 4 years!!! I've been watching your tutes for just over a year now, and finally got around to doing it - what fun!!! But, OMG I see what you mean about the gold and silver leaf - what a nightmare!!! I have to say, you make it look so elegant and easy!! It gets everywhere doesn't it. I'm going to try this out tomorrow. I've had M. E. for 11 years, but had to stop working in 2015 as it got worse. I've got 3 years to go (come this January) till I can retire, so I'm always looking for ways to make a bit of money. The trouble is, it takes ages for me to get motivated. I live in a tiny flat too, so I only have my dining table to make stuff on. It takes a while to get tools etc out, then have to put it all away again afterwards, so that's why I put things off. But you really do inspire me, and you're beautiful creations are my reason for persevering. Thank you for your endlessly brilliant tutorials. xx
Thanks, Val!
I also have ME. Had it for over 20:years. I also had to stop working as a teacher, back in 2008. ❤️
Hi Deb, that's horrible that you've had M. E for over 20 years, and having to give up teaching too. I think you still are a great teacher, your superb tutorials prove that. I think that M. E. is more recognised in America, but thank goodness, it is being more recognised these days eh. Take care, xx
These have such a cool look, tfs hugs
I enjoy your narrative so much. I can completely relate to your slight distractions… lol. I love working with polymer clay, I have 4 vocal kitties, my finger tips are completely shredded, ( definitely going to be using gloves in future. ). Girl, your charming, whimsical character is so enjoyable!! I’m learning so much from your videos. I appreciate your share so very much!!!
Thank you very much. That’s so sweet of you ❤️
Those are amazing! Love, love love those😃great tutorial.may have to try that with copper foil and maybe another color or something holographic. Thank you!
So beautiful.
Beautiful!!!🎉❤🎉
Thank you for another enjoyable and inspiring video. I noticed you mentioned muddy clay and was wondering if you have tried "Blackout" clay. It is a Kato clay and it only takes a small amount (chick pea size) to transform muddy clay into black. It sure helps with that guilty feeling of wasting clay--everyone can use more black! Love you!
Yes, I have blackout clay. Using it right now, actually!
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
All your videos are very beautiful and gorgeous. Love them all. I see your videos for long time. Always put like 👍 but never commented. But this time I thought I have to say your vedios are extraordinarily gorgeous. ❤
Thank you 🤍
Lovely! You’re right, very pretty. I can’t think how you come upo with these beautiful designs. O Joy Creatiion’s cutters are fabulous. Always hoping you are well. With love and prayers, ~ P🤗🥰🙏
Thank you so much!
❤I don't have a camera in front of me and I always have problems with the foils! Go with the flow girl !!!!
Beautiful
So beautiful I love these ❤️
Thank you
Ok I haven’t even watched it yet but I know I’m gonna love this video. So pretty!!!
You know how a song gets stuck n your head? I woke up this morning saying out loud chippy choppy, chippy choppy, lol, I love your videos, your are very talented!
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the great video. I used to mess up sticking the foil to the clay. But recently I cut the foil to size between the 2 sheets of paper before I add to the roll, and it works well for me. Plus the leftover piece wont get messed up either 😀
Thank you!
Nope. Tried that. Me and metal leaf aren’t friends.
So beautiful
Stunning❤
Thank you! 😊
Me encantó... haré uno y te mostraré
Very nice i love your video very relaxing
I love these🤗
Thank you
Beautiful 😊😊😊
Very pretty 😍👍
Deb, you are so talented. Your videos are the best on you tube. You either can’t follow some or they droll on and on about everything. Sorry! Love your videos!!
Aww, thanks so much! Merry Christmas 🎄
This worked beautifully! I followed your tutorial and made my own earrings! I would love to sow you!
Unfortunately, UA-cam doesn’t let commenters post pics.
I have an Instagram account, Clayboutique _1970. You could message me there.
You are a “pisser”! Love your videos. ❤
A pisser! 😳🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey, I just had a brilliant idea….take 3 different colors of nail polish and make a dot on matching depth sticks….next time you grab them just match up your colors! 😊
I’m headed to the craft room to do this one now. !
Thanks Deb! ❤️❤️😘
P.S. for your fingers, get a tube of campho phenique (tube) in phamacy by cold sore treatments) it has AMAZING healing properties and it’s cheap!
Soooo lovely
Thank you ❤️
After I hit the enter button, I had a thought...on just the outer cane layer of translucent, when it's still unformed, add some alcohol ink to it, let it dry and work it in. Then flatten and wrap the cane, so you get a pale star pattern with your triangles.
Not following you, sorry
😅🤣😂you're so funny with your leaf papers.
🤣🤣
Might it be easier with the sheet og Gold Leaf to keep it between the 2 papers and cut the width of the log then roll onto the leaf? Im in bed so cant try this myself but if i don't say it now ill completely forget by the time i get back to you or PC. I admit ive worked more with the jars of leaf lieces more because i found the sheets a bit snippy 😂
Thank you for another awesome Tutorial! And try to go easier on yourself about the trials that become errors, in your opinion, even if they are thats nothing to feel badly about, not every idea will be genius, and even if the idea is genius, it can take many tries to implement it in the way you're pleased but that isn't wasred materials nor time. I'm a perfectionist about my own stuff too so truly im not trying to be hard on you about how you do you. I just hope you realize that your fans are thrilled with what you cone up with and show us and we are fans ocmf YOU, too. We like your personality, your teaching style and enjoy spending our time 'with' you!
Not really. Not for me, anyway. Me and metal leaf are nemesis.
As for the rest of it, I don’t really know what you’re referring to, because this is an older video, but I’m pretty sure I wasn’t being hard on myself. I’m aware that things don’t always go to plan, but it doesn’t bother me, and I don’t feel badly about it. It’s part of the territory. I’m not a fan of wasting my clay, but it is what it is. So, when I do say stuff like, ‘I screwed up,’ I’m not condemning myself for it, it’s just a statement, and being realistic. I make mistakes. And when I say I made mistakes, I made mistakes. That’s not being hard on myself. There’s nothing wrong with realizing where you went wrong, because it only means you can find a better way.
Thanks.
Maravillosos 😍😍😍
Grime boss wipes. The best ever
I use industrial wipes, as I said. Tub o Towels.
Thanks!
Thanks so much!
I don't think there is a way not to make a mess with gold or silver leaf. 😂Love the video.
I really enjoyed this so much. Lovely pieces and your explanation of your thought process is helpful (like you I have wonderful ideas but unlike you I’m still trying to figure out how to get them from paper to tangible!😊) Thank you.
The silver and gold leaf look perfect …. Compared to my attempts at using it 🤪
😁
love love love xxx
What a beautiful collection you've made there - gorgeous - thank you for another great tutorial. Deb, as regards your finger have you tried Savlon or Coconut Oil. I believe one of those would work to fix it up for you.
I’m using Vaseline, atm, with cocoa butter in it. It’s starting to heal now.problem is, if I expose my skin to resin or isopropyl alcohol even just a little bit, it aggravates it again. I’m wearing gloves when I work, but I still mage to get it on me!
Thanks for always entertaining as well as educating!
I don't know if this will help; in glassblowing/bead making we tend to pre-cut strips of 23K gold and fine silver leaf by sandwiching between scrap printer paper; the stuff is so expensive that we try not to waste it.
You can even get decent shapes by using this method with craft paper cutters; good for surface applications under resin.
Thanks!
This stuff is cheap lol. It ain’t the real thing 🤍
Haha that’s hilarious that silver ….I would of swore at that point 😂😂keep going I’m shouting 😅
🤣
Just beautiful absolutely gorgeous I want to have a go but very new to this is there something else I could use other than the liquid clay thing as I don't have that x
You could use white acrylic paint, but be very sparing with it, as paint can weaken the structure of your pieces. Liquid clay isn’t very expensive…
Hi Deb,
I’m sure you’ve already thought about this, but do you think there’s something in the clay you are allergic to?
Beautiful creation, as usual, thanks for sharing your creativity! 💕
It’s the resin/alcohol.
My fingers are fine, now. If it were the clay, I’d be having the same problem.
My 'Like' button won't work. I love these!!!
It does work, I just have settings so that the public can’t see likes and dislikes.
Thank you ❤️
Hey sweetie. Melt together some shea butter and coco butter and a tad of beeswax and make yourself a salve for your hands. Will heal you overnight ❤. I’ve done it for years. Combats eczema too
Thank you ❤️
Hi! I just love everything you do! I have a question where do you get your findings?
Look in the description.
Have you tried utter cream for severely dry skin? It is what the farmers use on cow utters. I love it and it works! Go to bed every night with cotton gloves on.
Perhaps 'udder' cream might be better? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't think I understand youtube.... because I am always the only one liking a video.🤨I thougth that a like was supporting the one who made de video. It's probably me. But hey I like watching your tutorials. Thank you so much.
You’re not the only one liking the videos. I have my settings so that the number of likes/dislikes aren’t made public. Only I can see them. The likes do help with UA-cam algorithms.
@@clayboutique thank you for the info!
Amazing!!! Do you drill a hole for the jump ring?
Yes I do!
