I normally like having the canopy included, but this approach of just including the trunks and roots actually fits this environment so much better. It helps sell the immensity of the jungle. So cool! gonna have to try this.
Keeping the tops off for playability is a great idea and loved the storage solution, I may have to make a root system like yours with a uv resin portal in the arch.
This is exactly the video that I’ve been looking for to expand my jungle table!!! I have a good amount of small scatter terrain and a couple bigger aquarium pieces but no trees of sorts. I picked up some long strands of plastic vines (meant for lizard tanks) that I want to drape across the table for a canopy of sorts and also an additional level of gameplay but also be able to make them removable for easy of gameplay. I’ve already shared this video with my gaming buddy and hopefully soon we will be able to get together and make some terrain!! P.S. It’s currently 13* here in upstate ny and I’m about to go outside to stack firewood, so I hear you about being cold lol Stay warm and thanks for the helpful video 👍
These are lovely, I think I might steal this and make a variant for when my players inevitably stumble into the feywild - the intense aquarium colors should work really well there as well.
Great jungle scatter, I am definitely using this to enhance my Jungle Scatter and since I love Tomb of Annihilation module I need lots of jungle. :) Good job, thanks for sharing!
Perfecto! Just another reason you were our favorite GPC recipient of 2021. Keep up the great work! Have you ever tried adding sand to make texture paint? I think you would like it for things like tree trunks and other uses. Thanks for everything !
Absolutely love the video. Just got into star wars legion with my brother and im wanting to make terrain for Felucia or dagobah. Can I ask what kind of heat pen you used. I had a quick look online and only saw hot wire pens. Is there a particular type of foam. I know it comes in different sizes from what you have said. Sorry for the questions, im very new to the hobby. Thank you
Good to have ya back, brother! I'm lookin' to pick up some Citadel Skulls in your honor... as well as some of those Final Faction toys to gussy up some vehicles and make my own version of the Turbodactyl from "Masters Of The Universe." Also, I feel ya about it bein' cold in Michigan. My dear friend from Washington state picked a hell of a year to get me an airbrush-rig for Christmas. >w>
The pink foam is from the home depot. It comes in .5, 1 and 2 inch thick sheets. One sheet is kind of expensive but it will last for many different projects.
Totes love how those trees came out!

You could still paint them. Just a wash would help.
Nice I may try this to make a Redwood forest
Really cool work. 😊
Well, I would share them with my friends, but I don't have many. I did get my mom into watching them though. Hope that helps.
Oh it helps. Thank you so much. Say hello to your mom for me.

That's going to look amazing!
I think with these ones you could easily imagine that the treetops are much higher than the terrain actually is on those trees
Agreed. The tree tops would look very cool, but would obfuscate the minis and the battle happening.
You Michigan! Hamtramck saying hi!
Michigan represent!
When I heard the theme tune I had to subscribe

These are amazing, really nicely done!
They were so fun to make. Thanks for watching! 😁
@@brokenterrain You're welcome!
I know this is a little older video but I love this. Keep on going with these kind of videos.
Thank you ☺️
Amazing wow.
😁👍
Good job! Always look forward to your videos!
Thank you
love this channel

No need to steal. 😉 Share them with me on Instagram when they're ready.
I had no idea you were a fellow Michigander, always fun watching your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much
This looks great as usual. It could easily be used as an alien planet for Star Wars (Dagoba), Star Finders, Star Trek, etc...

Thanks for checking it out.

Thank you so much. I tried something similar in an early video. It was a useful technique.
@@brokenterrain Awesome!
We use it often and it really looks good on trees. We made some Evil Trees a while back and it really made a huge difference.
These look super nice. I've got a bunch of similar plants, and will definitely be giving this a try
Like these,I just made a jungle "fortress" these are definitely on my to do list..good video!!!
I think a variation of this would look cool!!! The movie Krull in the swamp/ bog...with some quicksand things, lol
What a great return, These look amazing can't wait to see more!
😁👍

How about a role campaing on video using both your rpg system and the stuff you make? it would be awesome to see
I've approached my players with the idea. We'll see what happens
i get the impression this is a project to do when you want to do something but not have to work to hard to make it look good
The aquarium plants do a lot of the heavy lifting for sure.
