The reason Con has been in my top 10 for years is partially because he doesn't act or rap like a superhero. It's all so grounded and relatable. He can give you that street talk and life talk and all feels authentic. Con most def on his way to one of the goats
For real tho. I talked to him on Datpiff boards back when he was going by Kanon and he was cool af. Gave me some feedback about my beats when I was first starting out. This was all the way back in 2011 and he still mad humble.

I have always been proud of being from Buffalo and to see how Conway, Benny and WestSide rep The Town really makes me even more proud. Everybody not a bunch of crabs in the barrel, it just takes the right people to make moves and actually focus on their dreams. I hit the like button before watching. This is long overdue.
Amazingly insightful interview. Conway showed he’s def a humble & wise man and made some really profound statements which lets you know he’s the kind of rappers they need to be put out on the platforms & marketed the most. Obviously his raps are some of the best regarding the stories he’s able to paint.
But there was one simple statement he made for which if everyone in this world would change this one simple mindset then it would erase over 50% of all problems that stop people ability to succeed & grow. That statement towards the end when they were talking about Griselda working things out and Conway not really making much money up til now based upon contract and what not. At one point Conway stated that regardless of the circumstances up to this point he’s been grateful for all that he’s learned both good & bad. Then proceeded to state that he’s the type of person that asks himself “what can I do differently to make the situation better. What did I do/not do to contribute to the reason why things are the way they are”. This is exactly what accountability looks like & this is exactly what had all but become extinct in all of society these days. It’s not a black thing, white thing, rich or poor. Everyone these days has been conditioned to have their first reflex towards anything gone bad in their life is to look outward at who is to blame for the reason I or we find ourselves in this current situation. Politicians & Big Corporations are some of the worst regarding by this mindset. But we, as individuals need to get back to a place where personal responsibility & accountability for our actions is the very first thought that comes to mind as the world is a cruel & harsh place for all in existence & therefore to continue seeking out who’s to blame for why we personally find ourselves in an undesirable spot in life is literally just wasted energy cuz even when there’s situations where someone has done all the right things but still becomes a victim. After the person responsible is dealt w/ accordingly, it’s still gonna ultimately be the victim who chooses to either let what happened to them consume the rest of their lives, leading to a miserable existence OR they’re gonna pick up the pieces, take away everything they could possibly learn from what happened & then must decide to let it go so that they can proceed to rebuild their life & get back to being in a healthy mind frame so that they can go about appreciating & seeking all the good parts about life.
His album is a classic....I even listen to it myself.
