Even though injuries got best of Bill Walton, he was definitely a winner. He won NCAA championship and NBA championship. RIP Bill Walton, his legacy lives on. Thanks guy for making a video about him.
During the Mavs game last night, a couple of my Portland friends told me all these stories about Bill Walton. They talked about meeting him, his importance to Grateful Dead, and just the energy he gave off. I feel for you guys and Trailblazers fans in my life because by all accounts your team was represented by an amazing person.
I've heard Walton used to rebound the ball and in midair spin around and pinpoint pass to teammates running back up the court for the fastbreak, he'd do this move all the time. Peak Walton must have been incredible because his injuries have hurt his career stats.
I’m very glad you guys made a video on Bill Walton. Although his prime was cut short, very few people can say they swept Kareem in a playoff series, and beat Dr. J in an NBA Finals down 2-0. Then after bringing Portland its first and only championship in franchise history, he became a key sixth man in one of the best Celtics teams in franchise history. Then he retires and becomes a memorable commentator and media personality. Bill left nothing on the floor and lived life to the fullest! R.I.P. Big Bill! 🕊️
Met him in an elevator at the Beverly Hilton in LA. Both of our rooms were on the top floor. We were both clearly not sober lmao he seemed like such a nice guy. SoCal legend
A larger than life figure on and off the court, Hall of Famer Bill Walton was truly one of the giants of the game. Entering the NBA, he led the Portland Trail Blazers to an NBA Title in 1977 and captured MVP honors in 1978. But unfortunately, injuries prevented him from being at his best for the vast majority of his career.
Rest in peace Bill Walton. You are a legend. I loved the video. You should do an extended video about the entire history of the Blazers. It would be interesting
I was too young to remember this, but my great grandpa on my dad's side of my family was inducted in the hall of fame for a sport down at the Alamo in San Antonio, and Bill was a guest speaker for that moment, and both my mom and dad got to meet him down there at the party.
This this was a lovely tribute about the man Bill Walton and his life and being one of the greatest not just basketball players but also basketball personalities of all time. But I Got to fact check you on one of the information you gave that was incorrect. Bill and Luke are not the only father and son duo to win multiple championships in the NBA. Klay Thompson and Mychal Thompson Both also want multiple championships in the NBA. Mychal Thompson with 2 both with the Lakers back to back seasons 87-88.
I believe bruce walton lost to the steel curtain steelers with the cowboys, but they are still the only pair of brothers to ever play in the NBA finals and super bowl. Excellent video boys!!
The UCLA dynasty of the 60s & 70s needs to be adapted to a TV series with Bill Walton as the central character. I know Winning Time got cancelled but I think it showed potential for what a narrative based basketball drama series could look like. Whoever would be cast as Bill Walton and John Wooden would showcase a masterclass in acting talent.
RIP to all Blazers fans because you lost a legend Bill Walton brought a chip and MVP to the Portland which will never be forgotten Bill was Proto Jokic
but actually doe rip bill walton he is a legend and always will be however the game evolves. domination is domination whatever era and he is a CERTIFIED legend in his nba era!!!
rip Bill Walton and I think the only two people that have a better college career is like Kareem and Kaitlyn Clark(respectfully shes the all time scorer right?)
Bill Walton didn't make us ALL smile. He utterly hated Jordan's Bulls in the 90s, and he didn't bother hiding his contempt on commentary. Bulls vs. Knicks? Walton would gush nonstop about Patrick Ewing...right up until the Bulls won. Walton was downright giddy when the 95 Magic knocked the Bulls out the playoffs the year MJ came back from playing baseball. Shaquille O'Neal had taken his rightful place as the league's most dominant player. Until the next year when the Bulls went 72-10, swept the Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals, and began their second three-peat. Walton was certainly a Hall Of Fame player, but I didn't care for him as a broadcaster.
I don’t want a 6 inch, I want a 12 inch from Demarcus Cousins.

Yeah, you guys are certified. What a beautiful tribute to a legend. Rest in peace Bill Walton and Drew Gordon.

Dude was a legend. All the positive vibes, standing for what’s right, winning and still being chill.
RIP Bill.
Even for a person that suffered so much pain in his life, Bill Walton always showed himself having the best time.
Rest in peace Bill Walton. You are a legend. I loved the video. You should do an extended video about the entire history of the Blazers. It would be interesting
Having a 140 winning streak is historical. Rest in peace Bill Walton.
La Mesa is my hometown, I actually play on the Helix Basketball team we had a little memorial for him and his legacy.

Make a 1986 Celtics video! Or a video essay on the Lakers vs Celtics rivalry.
(The whole rivalry would take like, 4 hours)
Did not expect the Daithi De Nogla clip 😅
Only mvp??? DAME DOLLA GOT THE BUBBLE MVP ‼️
its not on his 2k resume it doesnt count(jk) 😂
Bruh
Is that Jimmer Fredette ? 5:52
Bro won two championships 9 years apart
Maybe in basketball many of us want to be like Michael Jordan, but in life living like Bill Walton would be awesome.
I think Bill Walton put the curse on the clippers because Don Sterling stole them from his hometown of San Diego.
Why would I stay up past midnight to watch a pac 12 game when I have work at 9 am?
I didn’t know till today bill Walton was a red head lol
imagine Bill Walton with a 3 point shot
Thats Jokic
but actually doe rip bill walton he is a legend and always will be however the game evolves. domination is domination whatever era and he is a CERTIFIED legend in his nba era!!!

rip Bill Walton and I think the only two people that have a better college career is like Kareem and Kaitlyn Clark(respectfully shes the all time scorer right?)
Nah Caitlyn Clark was never as dominant as either.
@@guangdong6805 her stats, records and wooden awards say other wise… im not even a fan like that but she obviously dominated college basketball

Cap. No one ever talks about dude. All we ever do is talk about the top tier legends not good players like him
I recommend you guys branch out. You do a great job at presenting, but I think in reality it is hard to grow as exclusively talking about the NBA.
