I was there in person :) I'll never forget this show. I was a college kid in NYC and had interned with a girl at MTV who was now interning at iHeartRadio. I got a call from her one day saying she had a +1 available for a Jewel show. I showed up, knowing the hit songs everyone knows from Jewel, but knowing nothing else about her. I was so inspired by her natural story-telling ability, the wisdom behind her songs, and her overall charisma. Fantastic artist.
she sounds like a real person - she talks so openly with the audience and connects with direct eye contact - she is not the usual fruit cake and I can relate to her honesty and she sings with just as much emotion, she is a real person and I admire her for being honest - her story of "hands" is really fitting and she was humble
This song turned me to faith, after 2 years of being a homeless addict. "For lights the darkness most fear." To learn this song was written by her hands when she was homeless. God spoke to me through this song. Jesus delivered me and lives in my heart. He is taking over my mind. So this song has great meaning for my relationship with Jesus! This song has truly been apart of the peace love and freedom I was seeking all along! Thank You!

He similarly saved me, all in a moment at once I was set free from addiction, lust, anger, bitterness, etc. I was one way, then I was different with a whole different outlook on life and people which made life feel completely different. I had recently became a disciple of Jesus' and He literally changed me into a new person. It's no fairytale. Most amazing thing I've ever experienced....its what His true salvation is.

He gave me a new heart and mind then Jesus' words taught me how to hold on to them and maintain the new me. It really is true. But I dont really identify with modern 'Christianity', it doesnt lead people to being disciples of Jesus and being truely set free and healed.

I have loved Jewel since she was so young and starting out in fame. While watching Alaska the Great Frontier I had discovered she's part of that family. She's the daughter of Atz Kilcher. I was SOOO excited! And I know her even more now. She grew up in hard times, learned to be tough, survived homelessness, and more than that. And look what a survivor she is. I just love her music, and her soul.

What I found watching this is exactly the same thing you did. Outwardly beautiful women are a dime a dozen, but the really special ones are equally as beautiful on the inside as well. This one seems to be exceptionally special. Fame obviously didn't change her which is quite rare. This is beautiful. My daughter was injured at birth. Had to take care her, do everything for her till she died in 2019. We had to do a video for her professionally. When we got the cd. They put this song in the whole video and it beautifully went with it. When I watch it of her and our family in it, there are no words. Your music is so beautiful keel❤️

Was this concert from Jewels performance at the Iheart radio theatre in New York during February of 2013 during her greatest hits acoustic tour?? Had to wait over two hours in.the freezing cold on the Avenue of the Americas to get in but more than worth the frostbite oh yeah! Both my mother and myself were at this very concert and Jewel blew all.of us away with her humour heartfelt stories and genuine warmth at the same time sharing many personal experiences! Won two free tickets from.the Iheart radio app concert and took my mother whom.is physically disabled and was in a wheelchair at the time! We were just to the right of Jewel and up in the front row! Could have reached out and touched her but of course did not want to get thrown out so resisted just kidding lol! As much of a fan as we both were ever since Who Will Save Your Soul our respect and amazement deepened after hearing her belt out all.of her greatest hits live solo! She was recovering from having a sore.throat and had to whisper for a few days in order to perform! Not only did she nail.every note but sang even more powerful than on her studio album! At one point Jewel demonstrated her incredible yoodling ability and was a miracle she did not shatter every speaker in the auditorium! Always identified with this song. I love it. My nephew visited Jerusalem and brought back some bracelets for us. They are woven with colored with a beaded hand woven in. I think it is meant to signify the hand of Moses. My bracelet reminds me of this song. Moses was definitely God’s hand.

Always identified with this song. I love it. My nephew visited Jerusalem and brought back some bracelets for us. They are woven with colored with a beaded hand woven in. I think it is meant to signify the hand of Moses. My bracelet reminds me of this song. Moses was definitely God’s hand.
