Nick Spillert: Woulda liked the song to have like a 20second outro to just the mesh of that. (Toward like 1:55-2:00 when it was in sync), slowly fading out
Sebastian Jagermanjensen oh well i saw them live in like 2012 i think maybe jan 2013 before i knew them and scout was killing it, i thought they were sick. i dont have much desire to see them again so thats cool
I've loved this song since I first heard it, but I just now realized how much I relate to it. "It's such a problem when people come near you. It seems ironic that most people fear you. What a shame that you feel so insane, but the truth of the matter is your shadow is cold and afraid."
I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS SONG FOR 7 YEARS, SPECIFICALLY THE PART AT 1:03, I DIDN'T KNOW THE BAND OR THE SONG NAME BECAUSE I WAS ONLY 11 OR 10 WHEN I FIRST HEARD IT.
Listening to this while reading the lyrics made me cry. This band does such an amazing job creating music and writing lyrics people can ACTUALLY relate to. Their music is more than just a bunch of mindless words and famous sayings. They're incredible.
Electronicore. It was a genre that was cut down in its youth, due to misplaced homophobia. That is, every early 20 year-old at the time thought it was "gay", even though these all are gospel-ready melodies.
Talk box in the beginning is still one of the best moments in Issues musically history for me personally. It just sounds so cool and the melody is incredible catchy.
They are both good, but I prefer explosive music with lots of energy, and this album has more of that than headspace, headspace leans more towards being chill, which is also good.
I'm pretty sure most of the lyrics are either from Tate's perspective, like where it says papa didn't like him like mama, his mother always treated him like an angel or talking to him like where it says "It's such a problem when people come near you It seems ironic that most people fear you What a shame that you feel so insane, but the truth of the matter's Your shadow is cold and afraid" Basically how when he speaks to David(?) he kept saying something's wrong with him, but he really just needed help and to not be treated like a freak
I mean the song is based off of American Horror Story so I don't really expect the lyrics to be the most relatable... Unless you're living an extremely fucked up life. Sometimes you need to dig deeper into music to understand it, but other times, like this song, you need to stop looking into it so much. A song like this is just meant to be enjoyed
Here 10 years later and still lovin' it. This band had such a powerful catalog.
umm..tyler is a pedophile gang..
I love the mix of guitar and synth at 1:50 - 2:00 . It's probably the coolest thing I've ever heard in my life.
Nick Spillert: Woulda liked the song to have like a 20second outro to just the mesh of that. (Toward like 1:55-2:00 when it was in sync), slowly fading out
To this day this song still gives me goosebumps
God that synth lick in the intro is so amazing.
exactly lol Scout is amazing!
Always loved that lol and also the vocal part where he says "did I fail to mention?" So great. Hes an amazing vocalist.
Why on Earth did they not bring it back 20 more times during the song. 20 seconds is not enough.
this is my favorite song of the album, hands down
I'm so obsessed with Tyler's voice, it's beautiful.
Scout makes this band for me. Totally the icing on the cake.
x

It's a shame he's not going to be touring with them at The Future Hearts Tour.
Brendan Spencer it’s a shame they lost their touch when he left the band
2:42 Gives me the chills! Amazing song!

Tyler Carter's voice when he sings "run and hide" in the chorus
"Run and hide in a vegetable" I can't unhear this

Run and hide with your ketchup boi lol
Run and hide with your ketchup boi. Run and hide, I was born on a whale...
I read these lyrics as the song played and I'm still contemplating on whether they're the right lyrics or not..

this song nvr fails to make me emotional. literally relates to my life bruh
Best song on the album for me
One of my favorites. Love the dark, grungy feel. Second verse goes hard, reminds me of late 90's nu metal
exactly!
Omg yeeees also the first verse, idk why but that first verse reminds me of Linkin Park
The synth's and feels of this song (specifically the chorus) gives me goosebumps.

Tending to the masses..
1:50 - 2:00 This sound I love it man would never imagine this blend of genres to be so amazing
Electronicore. It was a genre that was cut down in its youth, due to misplaced homophobia. That is, every early 20 year-old at the time thought it was "gay", even though these all are gospel-ready melodies.
the lyrics are the story of my life.
I remember only Stingray Affliction was out and I wanted more.. I got more than I expected lol
Issues has left Post-Hardcore, and moved to a whole new genre of Groovecore. Anyone else agree.
Forever my favorite Issues song ❤
Lexie Mckenna same here!
That intro synth is so sick
This album is amazing! :)

one of the best. that breakdown with the flange guitar over top is perfect.
I love how they release a song on youtube everyday. it makes me appreciate each song more
I just love how this song starts
He used portamento, flanger, and phaser over his adlib harmony B)
+Lonnell Suave woah
that bass tone!
best song in the album until now
First standout song from the album (in my opinion).
Best song off the album, everything about this song is perfect. Thank you Issues.
Preordered this album not knowing what to expect... and I can say it was definitely worth it.
All these new songs are genuinely great. Such a diverse band!
That Zapp & Roger-esque Sample in the beginning THO!
Omg...i can honestly say I've never heard another band with their style. Issues4L
I love the feeling their music gives
This gave me goosebumps. If that doesn't signify that this song is good, I don't know what does!
Talk box in the beginning is still one of the best moments in Issues musically history for me personally. It just sounds so cool and the melody is incredible catchy.
Finally covered this song, and i will say DAMN. the vocals are sooooo fun. I love tyler's style. best part @ 2:41 LOVE ITTT!!!!
If Michael was the only vocalist in this band then it'd still be a really good. Having Tyler is the cherry on top
a sexy cherry
***** Everybody even guys think he is sexy its weird ._.

Does anyone prefer this album?
Imo this album is WAAAY better than Headspace.
both are amazing
literally same!
Both
They are both good, but I prefer explosive music with lots of energy, and this album has more of that than headspace, headspace leans more towards being chill, which is also good.
I really like black diamonds a lot tho
I think they should make a deluxe edition, with 3 bonus tracks...
I'm fucking addicted of this album
I think this album will be flawless. LOVE IT!!
But that intro doe
"Stupid is as stupid does" 2:02
Forest gump anyone?
Love the drum work shown in this song.
Agreed. Dem Ghost notes.
the whole album drum wise is amazing their new drummer is really good
Evan Chandler hella
Listened to the whole album twice already this and sad ghost are the best in my opinion.
An American Horror Story inspired song? Amazing (:
People who don't get the AHS reference: The Langdon House is the murder house from the first season I believe
thank you i was so confused
Uh, Tate Langdon.
holy shit the title references AHS? I seriously always wondered
I'm pretty sure most of the lyrics are either from Tate's perspective, like where it says papa didn't like him like mama, his mother always treated him like an angel or talking to him like where it says
"It's such a problem when people come near you

Basically how when he speaks to David(?) he kept saying something's wrong with him, but he really just needed help and to not be treated like a freak
All these years and I’m just now figuring this out? Thank you

Best song off the album so far
Lyric/Meaning wise this is definitely the best song on the Album.
Can't wait to take this album home. Sounds good!
I love the outro so much.
DAT Sick Vocals of Tyler in this track is SO FUCKING GOOD!!!
