#Battleship #Wisconsin #USA
Considering how much your love for our American battleships is, how much you put into your videos, I honestly think there is nobody that deserves to b able to b on such an amazing part of history. Thank you so much for taking us along with u spartan. Much respect for you for all you do for us fans. Thank u for being you and for making us apart of your day. Spartan on!!!
If I could show both of my Grandpa's this, they would love. Sadly One dead in 2001 and the other in 2020. They were both WW2 veterans
Cool video ..... I still remember visiting the Battleship Missouri Memorial on opening weekend in late January 1999. My friend and I took numerous color and black and white photos. Yes kids, back then we shot pictures on something called film. I have some nice B&W shots looking out of the bridge with the USS Arizona Memorial in the background.
Dammit Spartan u were here in Norfolk?! Would have been great to say hi lol and to apologize In person for burning your Yamato one time in a Charles 😂
It was great pleasure to tour the ship with you. Definitely have to come back when they open the rest of the ship whenever covid ends
I was on the New Jersey when I was a kid on the Delaware river, those guns were huge. The best part was old guy talking about them powder bags getting loaded into them badass guns. Thanks for sharing.
Reminds me of when I toured the Missouri at Pearl Harbor a few years ago. Iowa class battleships rock.
The company I work for built Nauticus, the museum attached to the Wisconsin. Hope you had a great time in Virginia! (I live 20 mins form Norfolk)
She is a beautiful ship. Thank you for taking us with you. Maybe you're next trip will be to Battleship Cove.
Imagine being in one of the turrets when the main guns open up or looking down on it from the bridge. Must've been quite the experience:)
Now we know what shirt Spartan’s wearing! Also it was funny how you were talking about Wows.
Loved the vid!
The USS Alabama museum is my favorite.
Now, I'm from Canada, so we have 1 decent destroyer, and that's our navy. Seeing this, and I can clearly say that is AMAZING!!! I mean, I'm the first guy to jump in the Bismarck on World Of Warships, but seeing this gives me a newfound respect of American Battleships.
I went there the other day with my family. It looks so much bigger up close- seeing that giant majestic bow crest upwards with pride. It was a hot and humid day though so the interior was HOT.
I live in Massachusetts, right next to the Taunton river where USS Massachusetts floats. It only takes me 10 minutes to get there, she has been a big part of my childhood, going there every Christmas, of course they have other ships there, but she is the main attraction
Love going to the Wisconsin born and raised in Virginia beach, very beautiful ship and very beautiful city, i wish they would let people go in the barbette of the turrets
I can’t believe the size of that ship, magnificent!
Spartan Your next community post should be a whole clip fails of peek
Yes lol seeing moments were you get detonated or dev stroked.
@@og_pickle3598 yes🤣
That would be a great idea
Fire off a couple rounds into the buildings lol 😱😱😱
I got to tour it a few years ago....great to see it again
A lot of people don’t realize it’s the chain that actually anchors the ship cause of its weight. The anchor helps to drop it.
30 year veteran, not US Navy. Was onboard IOWA in Kiel Germany at Kieler Wocher in 1989, if memory serves me well. Have a photo standing under Turret No 1. Impressive ships, the amount of armor around the helmsman position on the bridge is just crazy as I recall. Enjoy the tour and keep up the good work. BZ.
Spartan thank you brother for sharing this video with us in the UK 🇬🇧, full respect and hats off to you and the tour man,
On the other hand I think if you spoke on behalf of the Tour man and explained about the ship 🚢 I really think it would have been much better,
But hats off to the tour man and much love and thank you again for sharing ❤
i've been on the uss hornet but this is just crazy the guns are so bigg
She’s one hell of a beauty. Hope y’all had fun
WISKY!! It's nice to see Wisconsin again after the New Year
Just got the Iowa 2 weeks ago, absolutely in love with her.
From panzerknacker, *all of this quotes credit goes to him and him alone, well and the Wisconsin😂
“March 15, 1952: The USS Wisconsin (bb-64) received her first direct hit in her history when one of four shells from a North Korean [a communist one] 152mm gun battery, struck the shield of a starboard 40mm mount.
Although little material damage was received, the Wisconsin immediately destroyed (initiated the communist fruit) by firing a full 16 inch salvo.
Afterwards, the Wisconsin received a message from one of her escorts, USS Buck (DD-761). The message simple read, “temper temper.”
This is why ppl go missing in Wisconsin
Typed all that from a screenshot, gunna go take a nap cuz that was tiring😂
These ships are absolutely incredible.
What a awesome ship. Thanks for the video Spartan.👏👏👏👍👍💪🥰🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
“Have fun”
Spartan- “you too”
You should have yelled “I’m the king of the world “ at the bow haha.
I remember when the Wisconsin was docked next to us in Norfolk in 89 I went over to check her out. I was jealous that she had those curved vents on the side of turret one that we didn't have. Putting the vent higher off the ground their turret one didn't take on water in heavy seas like our turret could.
Wow Spartan, thanks for that, so jealous here! Thanks for taking us with you. Bet your having a fantastic time 👍
I'm in awe 🤩 looking at it and I'm not even there!!!!
The uss Wisconsin is also my favorite battle ship in the Iowa class.
I don't even have the words to describe my joy and awe
That is amazing see people on that ship really puts the size of this into prospective thanks Spartan for showing us this can’t wait for the second part.
I loved going there as a kid
Spartan. Thank you for all your lovley videos. I just watched your video of USS Wisconsin, witch also was amazing. I really do enjoy your enthusiasm and love you bring. Thank you. Regards Jens, Denmark
I’m gonna be visiting USS Texas this June after I graduate. Been dying to visit a ship museum for a couple years so I’m extremely excited.
What an awesome ship she looks amazing still for a 78 year old long live the whiskey now we just need Jersey girl big mo and the mighty Iowa keep the videos coming great job love your work
Wow what an incredible ship. Thanks for filming and sharing with us mate 👍
Awesome part 1, I can remember touring the Missouri and New Jersey way back when the were mothballed at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
USS Missouri is my favorite out of the 4
Think there’s video from the 40’s or 50’s showing a guy crawling thru one of those barrels during or after a cleaning. Longest BB in the USN.
Now I know why you missed Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts Taskmaster yesterday and all is forgiven, haha. This was educational and a nice surprise. Thanks for sharing.
It's just amazing to see, wish we had the opportunity to visit the Bismarck or Tirpitz here in Germany as well 😵
The actual wreck of the Tirpitz is mildly visible. It's on a shore of Norway, but it's a wargrave as well, so the land is basically holy. There isn't really a lot left of it, since the navy took out a lot of parts to salvage.
Only thing better than seeing one of these would be seeing those bad ass 16 inch guns fire 🔥.
Really excited!!
When ever you come to the bay make sure to see the hornet
Am excited.
I was on USS New Jersey last year. So huge in person it’s insane. I’m 6’5” and am very fat and crawling through those 5” guns and the 16” guns was nuts. I couldn’t imagine what it was like being in those during their active service.
All I heard while the tour guide was talking about the main guns was "waaaait for it......POW!!!" lol
Nice video spartan! Such a beautiful ship
Polar bear plunge, battleship edition.
That was awesome buddy, thankyou! Those barrels are just mind blowing! Looks so huge from on board! 😀🇬🇧🤝🏼🇺🇸
Its such a joy watching spartan in his element, you are the goat.keep up the positive vids you have helped me so much in this game. Thanx man
Insane dimension... Thx man. Gratz from germany👍👌
If your ever in North Carolina head to Wilmington and check out USS North Carolina. She’s not as big but still just as impressive.
I remember visiting the USS North Carolina in 1980 when I was a kid and to this day it is one of the greatest experiences of my life. That ship is so beautiful and it is a masterpiece of engineering. I also remember seeing alligators in the water around the ship as we walked on the entrance ramp.
Very nice video Spartan, would love to see more of these in the future.
Darn it drawing a blank on the right spartan phrase to use here.
Holy crap Spartan went outside lol cracking ship, thanks for the video 👍
Hell Yeah!!!
i was waiting for this
I'm very jealous 😆 got to see USS Texas a few years back, and alot of tanks.
Thank you for the great video I never realized how huge the ship was I live in Indiana and we have the LST here it makes it look small
Awsome plain n simple
Can't wait
Fantastic video, thank you for showing us around Spartan 😎 respect from the uk 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
Awesome thanks for the video I think I'll be planning a trip to see her myself, can't seem to find part 2 unless it hasn't been updated yet!
Not done it yet
Glad to see you are enjoying your Wisconsin tour.....did your guide explain that that particular ship is exactly the longest?.....back a ways she was in a collision with another ship and they grafted the bow section from the USS Kentucky (75% done Iowa class canceled ship) and it is about 1/2 a foot longer give or take....thought you would enjoy that info....can’t wait for part two of your trip....wish I was there!
Ready SPARTAN
*Meanwhile in another Universe*
Spartan: goes to see a Montana class battleship

This is poggers ,poggers, poggers what a beautiful ship! Is there gonna be a part two, spartan?
Thanks for video Spartan! Love it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@SpartanElite43 when is your part 2 hitting here? Thanks!
I live in Alabama so I usually go to the USS Alabama. Huge guns btw.
So cool! I got to visit USS Iowa little over a year ago and it was very nice experience. Since then I’ve been way more interested about all kinds of warships and I would love to see more of them 😄
If you're on the west coast go down to San Diego and see the U.S.S. Midway sometime.
@@thawk1435 Well I hope I can go there one day. I live in Finland so it might take a while before I’m able to travel there 😅
Thank you spartan
So cool man

Such a beautiful...but friendly reminder.... Visit uss north carolina one day.... But keep the awesome content coming!!!
I really want to visit the USS Wisconsin since it's my state ship but it's to far away
In the game you know the ship is big but seeing it like this. Oh boy its huge!
Man seeing the Wisconsin again makes me want to go back and visit her again speaking of the World of warships spartan you mentioned the Missouri will become a premium ship when is that actually
It’s available right now for 30,000 steel. I don’t think anyone has that much yet.
@@Berserker_4517 too bad why not release the Wisconsin
I knew battleships were big but God damn
Edit: hey spartan when you hit a 100k subs you should visit the Arizona
Lol I can't afford to go to Hawaii
@@SpartanElite43 lol I can't either
Wasn't the Arizona sunk ?
@@Issar137 yes during the pearl harbor bombing, I think she was hit by a 250kg bomb in her ammo room
@@Akashi_Takahashi yeah so how is he supposed to go see a sunken ship ,or was the Arizona raised ?
WOW this ship is massive.Where is She docked at the moment?
Norfolk Virginia at the Nauticus museum
Ohio represent!! I'm in Cleveland
Beautiful U.S. power
The question is.. would you jump off the bow 🤷♂️..? I'm very jealous, hope you had a good time buddy
Déjà vu all over again 😍 kinda crazy to believe that one turret weighs more than a Fletcher Class Destroyer
Yayyyyyy
Waiting for part 2
It's already out
@@SpartanElite43 just finished it few minutes ago! That things is firing shells that weigh as much as my pick up 26 miles in about 20 seconds ... actually 9 Silverado’s flying through the air ... holy hell
