It might be good to check all the teams to make sure there is no free seats. There is a lot of staff who have retired recently and they may not be replinished.
Hire a night shift. They will essentally double the amount of time you have to produce KINGDOOM: Reborn Edit: 11:56 - oh Edit 2: 24:40 - Oh again Edit 3: 30:13 - Yeah should've watched the video before commenting
You could probably reduce stress by changing the max tasks for the porting team. Right now they're doing 6 ports simultaneously which is probably what's stressing them out more than how long it takes
I always schedule my morning and night teams an hour apart before one leaves and the next comes in. I haven't played Software Inc in awhile but the staff used to complain there's no computers available the moment they showed up if the previous scheduled team hasn't quite left yet. Plus it made it slightly easier for the cleaning crew to keep the building cleaner. I used to day and night almost everything
It also has the benefit of allowing your tech people to access the computers, because they used to not maintain computers if people were using them. But it's been a few years since I played so who knows if its still like that.
If you want to give your porting team some experience you can go through your own IP catalogue and make sure everything from the last few years is available on Doors. Your newest releases of Canvas and Vector didn't have Doors selected as part of the port job (at least as of min 34 of the video).
You should consider putting together a research team and start having attorneys patent the technology. It’s a really lucrative way to bring in extra tens of millions of dollars. Love this series! ❤
I've been doing the poor work on deals because I needed money or I'd go bankrupt. Now I'm running into issues where there just isn't a large influx of OSs being released or doing well after release and struggling to have audiences to sell my own products to
You should review ur products to outsource when your products alpha stage is 100%. If the score below 9.5 you can iterate it so your products can get a better score and better quality products.
Loving the series. With you saying you should play it more than once a year how about a modded play through next and then alternate between normal and modded. That way you get to play more but the modded keeps it fresh
Sometimes it's worth doing to keep you rep up As long as it still has users or bugs, it's worth keeping on bottom priority support so it'll get attention when everything else is taken care of
i just figured this out. if you have a subsidiary at the bottom of the window for making a new program you have a drop down selection where you can select your sub company. just dont put your teams on it, all the dots will be red but this is fine as you arent the one making it anyway (thats your subs problem) ((also dont forget to make them NOT autonomous)
You need to make night teams for all departments or do an evening team from 4pm -12 and then a 12-8 am it will boost evening getting done you can call them evening core and night core and so on. Need to do this
You should move some teams overnight to free up office space like the support team and accounting team could be overnight only and their office space could be used to expand other teams or you could just make 2 core teams day and night.
also, also, you can only give your subsidiary projects that they specialize in (it tells you in the company's window) regardless of what they have produced themselves
I have no idea if you have done this yet, but seeing your project marketing team still working on years old projects is probably really slowing them down a lot.
I can't seem to load the building, it comes up in the 'building' sections when I move company and it's called Nerdrosoft but it just loads the basic building for the 4th plot. Any help?
It'd be cool if you developed a Dinosaur DNA Zoo game. Then one of your customers could play the game, releasing videos a few times per week, to the joy of internet viewers. It's a grrrreat idea!
Yeah but that's a legitimate choice. Not all companies have several shifts. Not having other shifts does entail having larger/more offices and a larger HQ so that the employees who would've been on those shifts can join the team in working hours. PS Looks like Dylan's opted to start using some night shift workers rather than make the building bigger for now.
@@PauperJ This is what I meant. If you don't want to have shifts you need bigger teams with bigger offices, so the 3 shifts that do the work in 1/3 of the time are all working on a single shift. The game penalises you for assigning too many people to a project, but it doesn't care if those people are in 1 team or 3, or on 1 shift or 3 up until they disturb each other with too much noise, that is, so you need lots of offices to spread them out. You also need to allow for other services like extra room in the canteen to seat them all and extra car parking spaces because they're all at work at the same time. The meeting rooms need to be larger to accommodate them all, with sufficient chairs for everybody on the team. What is true is that is more _efficient_ to have shifts, because you can build smaller premises with lower overall running costs, and the computers being kept in use constantly. Though you should plan a maintenance window so that IT support can get to them without disturbing the teams. And as Dylan realised, you need at least an hour between shifts so the teams don't debuff each other by being in the office at the same time.
OK i've been waiting to comment about night shifts since you built this new office but was catching up to the current episode before I commented. BUT I WAS THINKING A NIGHT SUPPORT TEAM, purely rp as a customer here but what if someone has a problem after 4pm i would hate being in a queue for service all night if my doors operating system is acting up.
Vector 2 and Canvas 3 are left overs from pre-automation. Future Vector and Canvas are getting updates via automation. The issue is his support teams are getting bogged down by still supporting V2 and C3.
I'm not gonna lie I liked the series until u started uploading hour long videos which can be edited down to 20 mins. it's just too much. And for people who who want to play along it will never work out
I love this series so much, and please do NOT make the videos shorter. I'd rather have 2 hours than 20 minutes of this gold
It hurts to see Core team being so over-worked. They deserved a night team the most....
I need to give the Core Team some love, soon. They've carried Nerdrosoft for almost 40 years!
@@ConflictNerd Yes please :)
This series of a game that I have never played is taking over my life.
sameeee!
I have 3 shifts for each team (Morning 0-8, Day 8-16 and Night 16-24), that way u get more done each day
It might be good to check all the teams to make sure there is no free seats. There is a lot of staff who have retired recently and they may not be replinished.

When you make a console, bring back Obsidian!
That's a great order, the Obsidian Order.
About the bass; I absolutely loved the amount of bass in your voice. It gave sort of an authoritarian vibe which fits the series really well I think!

Full nightshift + more teams for automated projects. Research patent?
I genuinely enjoy the 1 hour long episodes, thanks for the great content!
1:29 I noticed that for so long, good to know that I and other viewers who mentioned it weren't crazy
I'm so annoyed that I didn't check it sooner. I think things are more "normal" in this video, but I'm not 100% sure.
@ConflictNerd I watch UA-cam with headphones so it's something I noticed immediately, but I see how most people wouldn't notice on phones

When you make a sequel to hell shock why not go down the road of things like
Hell shocks
Hell shocker

Yay a new video about software inc please do a ‘software inc for noobs’ so I know how to play please Dillan
You should end support for Vector 2, Canvas 3 and Kingdoom VI.

Thanks for adding the office to the workshop!! Love your stuff!
You can only give software development tasks to subsidiaries when the software is their specialism. In your case it would be games.
Cool sequal names:
KingDoominium
KingDoomination
KingDoomfender
KingDoomesimation

I wanna get into this game but looks super complicated

CEO Dylan is back!
When are we going to get the close-up of the Cat-mascot intros?
Darn it! I binched so much of your videos that I am not up to date and having nothing left to procrastinate with..
Just do 170 x 2 30:34
You passed the fire inspection 🎉🎉🎉
The night lead isn't using the lead office.
Might sound weird but cant you ddos other hosting servers if you really want to mess up their day?
Dylan worries about developing programs in time, yet he hasn't hired 2nd (4p-12a) nor 3rd (12a-8a) shifts yet.

In Software Inc, if you have two shifts working on a task, it is completed twice as fast. If you have three shifts, it is completed in 1/3 the time.

KINGDOOM reborn getting a multiplayer expansion?
When will you build the hardware office?
I find it a little annoying that you still have support for a lot of projects that are like 4-15 years old.
please its time to stop supporting vector 2 and canvas 3
More than once a year 4 sho 20:29
Agreed.
His NerdroSoft videos get 3X more views than all of his others.
I've been watching CEO Dylan of NS putting out these videos for 8.5 years.
