Actually, I thought it was very appropriate to sing High Hopes, seeing as how they said it was Stuart's favorite song. Sure Tad didn't have to be as silly as he was, but I think that's just MEK being MEK. If you really knew the character and his history, you would know that Stuart wouldn't have wanted his family and friends to remember him with tears and sorrow. Stuart loved life, and he would want to have laughter & joy mixed in to temper the sorrow his family felt at his passing. It fit.
Lee took over when Mary Fickett retired n 1996. Fickett returned in 2000. When she left again in 2001, Meriwether returned to the show. Mary Fickett recently celebrated her 82nd birthday. She is currently bedridden and has a slight loss of memory.
James Mitchell's health has kept Palmer in another country since September. As for Joe, Ray MacDonnell still appears frequently. His appearances have been limited since Mid-June 2008. He had just appeared a few episodes before this one.
I think that was Petey Cortlandt. Ironically that was the Real Name of his Father who was born Pete Cooney in Virginia which started the Chander/Cortlandt Feud.
I'm sorry but the singing of High Hopes was very lame and I hope I'm never at a funeral when I'm asked to sing such a silly song. The writing for this show is so substandard,I'm amazed it hasn't been cancelled.
eddiecat if you watched the show, you would've known that that he loved that song. I didn't think it was at all lame, considering he loved it. He was a simple man.
stuart was so kind and friendly it so sad he died

we miss you stuart.
This is makin me cry :'(
Joe made his most recent appearance on June 16th 2009.
Cindy Parker is Scott's mother, the first wife of Stuart.
What about Marian?
Thanks! That's good to know! I love Lee, but I miss Mary!
The writing for this show is much better when compared to other ABC soaps.

Where were Palmer Cortlandt and Joe Martin? Please tell me they're still around?
So....when did Lee Merriweather become Ruth Martin??? I have not watched the show in a long time.....is the actress dead who used to be Ruth?
Brooke?!
Dear God! She's bedridden. Joe Martin will retire (Ray is old) and Psl,er is gone b/c his actor is 89. The older generation is almot gone!
Yes, I really think that. But I don't know how the hell that qualifies me as an ass. Grow up.
