From the Music for Montserrat concert to benefit the island after a volcano eruption. Jimmy Buffett, also performing at this concert, recorded his hit song Volcano at a studio here, a few years earlier. The lyrics about this same volcano were "I don't know where I'm-a gonna go when the volcano erupts."

George Martin had AIR Studios on Montserrat. It was a hotspot for so many musicians from Eric Clapton to Luther Vandross. The last album to be recorded there was Steel Wheels by The Rolling Stones in 1989, before first Hurricane Hugo hit the island that same year and then the volcano erupted in 1997. Even though the former did minor damage to the studio, it was never reopened and the eruption was the final blow.
