LOL, nothing about 90s romplers sounds fresh. It's fine if you're invoking that sound but don't pretend it doesn't sound cheesy. I had a X5DR once upon a time and I don't miss it at all.
@@TheSnowLeopard I've tried it myself before I even read this comment and he is right, it sounds retro but with a modern touch and sounds great when layered with modern vsts.
I think it is the older brother of this in the demo. Less samples memory and half polyphony (32>64). But the synthesis chain is the same. Did You try the free Hammond organs set by Frank Carvalho? It is available on the net. But if You like it probably You would like to have more polyphony. I suggest You to purchase the module of this synth, the X5D/r. But I don't know if the keyboard version has arpeggiator and so on. The module versions have no arpeggiator. Maybe it can be obtained having fun with Lfos..😊
very inspiring video. thanks panu!
great job! people should try 90s romplers more often, sounds beautiful and fresh when layered with modern vsts

Great job and nice sounds! Thanks!
My 1st synth was a Korg Ns5r, those old modules sounded pretty good alright
Grazie!! Buon anno nuovo!🍾
I love korg X5DR
Personally, I think it sounds great (even if some of the Presets are rather 'dated')
Dreamweaver vibes at the start! ❤
Very fine demo, Panu. Did you used only build-in-effects?
Merry xmas❣️
Yes, Eventide Space and Waves delay. Merry Christmas!
Still have my X5D, Crossfades is my favourite patch
Excellent!
I own a X5, not D
Did you change many parameters to remache those sounds?
Probably just modwheel and aftertouch and maybe some envelope-tweaking.
