A small gust of wind, the drone flies a few centimeters to the side, against the man, the electronics try to regulate, and it could have flown onto the road, into a car. A driver gets a fright, maybe swerves into oncoming traffic, and there could have been an accident. The rotor blades could also have injured the man (e.g. in the face). Therefore, DJ's reaction (pushing the man away after he repeatedly approached the drone) was definitely appropriate in my opinion. What was the reason for him to go so close to the drone?

He most likely didn’t realise he was being filmed and thought he could engineer a situation where he could accuse DJ of dangerously flying his drone at him and striking him so that he might have a chance of getting the drone confiscated and DJ charged. I just wonder if he was told over the phone that DJ films the whole interaction and noticed the camera. He might even intended phoning the police after but if he watched some of DJ’s films he would have realised he was probably filmed the whole time.
