Just received mine this week. Tested them real quick. I like them. For the money, a really nice deal. A few things that I would like to add. They clip fairly easy. Had the volume at 12 o’clock and light flickers some, not bad, but once you turn them past that, light stays on pretty consistent. If you are able to purchase one more spacer to get it even higher, that would be great. Since I purchased 2 of them, I just attached the other spacers to just one speaker to raise it even higher and it works fantastic. I haven’t seen where you can purchase more spacers, but if anyone knows where you can, I would love to know. Last thing, and I know Brian already talked about it, but they do not come with bags, and I don’t know if you can purchase any. I am very careful with my gear, so if any knows where bags may be available to purchase, that would be great to pass along the information. I will be having a little reception over my house next month with around 50/60 people, so I will be using them and see how they do. I bought them for the purpose of simplifying my ceremony setup, so I am excited to see how they do in the future.

If ADJ/American Audio could come out with a battery powered version of this with a 10" Subwoofer, 6 top end drivers, an amp that gets it to 120+ DB, and it comes with bags for the sub and column pieces in the package, this could be a home run product.

what I'm wondering with these systems is I wonder if the top speaker is the highs and mids together or are the mids split between the top speaker and the subwoofer? I noticed when you took the column off and only the subwoofer was playing there was some actual bleed over from the mids into the subwoofer. with most traditional systems especially when you're using an active crossover you usually get nothing but the very low frequencies in the sub. however it's like I said before I actually like these systems they actually do sound very good. one more good reason for using this type of system is it's affordability unlike traditional PA systems which can run well into the thousands of dollars these can be quite affordable it just depends on your needs.

I have the JBL Eon, same 3 piece setup, at least with that set up it doesn't require the two non-speaker portions it's meant to be able to be set up on a table and various heights I found that you have to firmly get the speaker part connected or you have no sound or very warbly results.
Great vidéo. I Do a lots Gig for 50 to 100 peoples. I dont have any subwoofers. here in Canada a descent PA 12" subwoofer Start at $500 Alto. Im thinking Buy 2 APX CS8 for almost same Price, I get more for my money : get 2 x 8" subwoofers complète système and can use system for cocktail etc. I Will use for SMALL Gig the 2 x APX, with 2 x 15" speakers. And for LARGE GiG Up to 100, use 2 x APX with UP TO 4 x 15" speakers GIG IF NEEDED it Will sound better then my 4 x 15 " Gemini Pa speakers that I normaly use. What Do you think ?
@@TonyDaTunafish Still messing with the wireless stereo option. So far, it works great but only when I'm using a Bluetooth audio device. Haven't gotten it to work via AUX or USB. Looking for answers on this so stay tuned
On Amazon, it only has 5 reviews. Half of them 5 stars, the remaining are 3 stars and 1 star. The Rockville Titan is the closest in price at $334. Has many good reviews but people saying the volume is poor. Oh, well.
Love it, great for home karaoke! It could be better if there was battery powered option for a little bit more so it can be taken on trips, karaoke anywhere ^_^ its not so portable anymore if you have to lug an anker powerbank along with it hehehe
If I remember my audio stuff right (and it's confusing), to realize an increase in loudness, your system must grow exponentially, starting with one. So, two identical speakers are louder than one, Four identical speakers are louder than two, eight identical speakers are louder than four, etc. I used to think it made a system twice as loud, but Ben Stowe got all geeky on me & apparently, that's not true. However, you do realize a system being louder.
I thought two 108 DB speakers together give you a +3 DB gain, bringing you to 111 DB. However, Ben vaguely mentioned that it's not actually +3 DB, butI think it's in that ballpark
When all else fails, read the manual! Thanks for sharing, this is great info. One of my best clients loves rooftop venues, and I use big @$$ dual 15's. These could be a life saver.
What I've learned the reason Watts listed is important is because for outdoor venues where a power pack is being used, one would need to know if the power pack can carry the load of the speaker. If a power pack is rated 300W and the speaker is rated 400W, the power pack will shut it's self down or you can risk damaging the amp o the speaker.
Hi KT not always the case, I have a Yamaha Stagepas 600BT which puts out 330 watts per channel so in theory 660 watts but actually uses 75 watts in electricity due to the efficient digital amps.
@KT Watt output from the amp is not the same as watts used to power it. Amps is the unit of current flow, while Watts is the unit for power. Amps, when multiplied by voltage equals Watts. Measuring amps is much easier compared to measuring watts.
They sound nice! They are rated at 108 db, so they are not ripping anyone's face off, but I'm thinking great for ceremony & cocktail kind of stuff, or backyard party

Nice, i am dreaming of column array active speakers which is really neat and portable, easy to setup and with wireless capability

I'll put this on a Kill-A-Watt meter & see what it's actually drawing in watts. Typically venue plug-in power is measured in AMPS via the circuit
