Here in central Ohio we had a 90 degree day on the last day of summer. Then like a light switch, the first day of fall hit with a low of 41 and a high of 64. This video puts a cap on Summer ‘22! Thanks for the serenity, Careena. 👍👍👍 ~John
Short and sweet but still a great vid! Your houseboat is awesome, great way to have some fun on the lake! And the scenery is beautiful! Love, hugs and peace!
That houseboat looks so comfortable, and looking forward to the new build once the time comes to be able to do that and share. Brandon has some amazing skills, and probably not much he can't do! I've been enjoying following the house build on the other channel as well. Y'all stay safe!
He is truly amazing honestly, this man keeps surprising me with all these skills he has. It's so sad that there are not many men like him left in the world.
There was such a relaxed vibe to this video. Nice! It brings back memories of bringing my children to those beaches on Dad’s sailboat during summer vacations. We never stayed overnight though. Dad later said a houseboat would have been nice to have. It’s great to see you two getting some well deserved R&R, BTW.
What a beauty that boat is. I will be sure to follow the next boat build, after the house build. Looking forward to spending the late fall watching you bushcraft through the season. Peace Out.
Looked super relaxing for you guys...you have been working hard on the house build so it was nice that you could get away!! Looking forward to the next videos!! Thanks for sharing!
Wow you have really stepped it up the Photography. This is beautiful work. Thank you for showing Canada in such a beautiful way Alexis. Cheers from the West Coast.
Hi guys. I’m from England and although we have lakes or lochs ( Scotland ) , they’re not really big enough to justify keeping a houseboat on one. Canada is obviously perfect for them. Are they popular and can you transport them easily to various lakes if you want to change locations. I think they’re a brilliant way to travel round large lakes. They’re like a small cabin on water. Brilliant.
They can be put onto a trailer just like a regular boat. They can be wide but not too wide to tow. They're popular in the US as well. That particular houseboat looks kinda big so I'm not 100% sure it's towable by regular truck
I grew up on Manitoulin Island on Lake Huron and I don't ever remember seeing a house boat. Come to think of it I don't why people didn't have house boats. The lakes around and within Manitoulin would have been perfect for a house boat.
Some are small enough to be hauled with a full truck, but this one is far too big, we have a friend with a huge loader who launches and takes it out for us.
Great video and lovely to see the huge lakes ..... beauty. As David said, probably not many houseboats on lakes, because we don't have big lakes. But there are houseboats in the creeks here in Kent, UK where people live - I suspect they have no engines though. Also in the UK there's a very good canal network with canal (narrow) boats where people live and travel up and around. Boat life must be fun and quite different to the way most of us live.
Thank you for taking us along, Careena. When I saw you making pizza it reminded me I had to make pizza dough for supper tomorrow, so thank you for the reminder. Stay safe and stay cool
Can’t wait for the houseboat build, I’m on the same river with a 21ft pontoon. The family looks forward to doing a houseboat of our own someday to enjoy the possibilities.
Mannn, now that is the life right there! I would absolutely love to have a house boat and wake up every morning on the water and just be able to fish and go wherever the wind and waves takes ya!
To bad summer is gone so fast It's getting cool here in Maine the crisp air and changing of the leaves has arrived time for Fall. Awesome video 👍 be safe my friends ✌️
Very nice house boat. I worked on a 150 foot tug on the Mississippi River for a good while. High maintenance. Hope your experience was as awesome as it looked. Great video. Thanks for sharing!
show this to Brandon, JUST PUT A RING ON HER FINGER ALREADY!!! LOL🙂 she cooks, aint afraid to work, plus she has a good head on her shoulders.... you dont find that very often nowdays!!! that looked like a great get away & the beach looked awesome with no one around.. thanks for sharing with us & rub Grizzs ear!!!
Great video! Rob and I are learning to embrace fall a little better. We are preparing for a fall canoe trip in Killarney. Thanks for inspiring us to continue our love for camping into the shoulder season! 🇨🇦🍂🍁🛶 Enjoy your next trip 😊
Very nice careena thanks for sharing..can't wait to see your houseboat build. I'am thinking about moving to southeast alaska just so I can live on a boat.
A little R & R away from the ICF house a much deserved break you two have been super busy. I know I've said this before but I'm definitely looking forward to the houseboat build on your Timbermates channel in the future. Lots of good stuff to watch on your other channel. 👍
The landscape along the water in the area where you live is very beautiful! Those little beaches are cool. Really enjoying your recent content Careena!
I was curious too. I used to live in Petawawa, Ontario and the scenery reminds me of the Ottawa River - big hills, sandy beaches everywhere, a gentle 2 kt current, and hardly anyone around.
Hubby looks good he lost weight last time I seen him y'all was camping at winter with the dog. I can feel the peace and love vibe very powerful here in this video. Alexis when you plopped meat in the plan I just felt you doing a doop dooty doo or some funny cozy words in the mind. Very cool you guys know what's up.
Every summer is much too short. So I have a plan…… Winter is too long, so let’s take February, change it to a summer month and insert it between July and August. Voila! Winter is shorter; summer is longer. Why am I the first one to think of this?
I’m not so sure how practical house boats are in the long term and how well they are accepted by lake communities paying property taxes, I’d keep it at the fun level, see what you can getaway with but have a lakefront property with a cabin for the long term.
You must have missed the fact that Brandon built the boat himself. Rich in skills and love you SCHMUCK. Must suck to be so jealous you cant enjoy the beauty of the wilderness and two people in love.
Houseboat now that's the life for me floating free away from the broken society

I’m in love with the relaxing nature of this video…also, nature! It makes my soul happy!
Such a serene video. Love the way you narrate. Cool boat!
I was watching again you're video from Dec 11 2020. There is something so cozy about that one. I like when you say "it's beer time".

I’m not so sure how practical house boats are in the long term and how well they are accepted by lake communities paying property taxes, I’d keep it at the fun level, see what you can getaway with but have a lakefront property with a cabin for the long term.

@@frostycometh5822 what's creepy about that ? Maybe your a creep.
where is grizz???
Where is grizz
I hope you bring grizz to overnight and hot tent
Didn’t come to watch a cooking video
It's a lifestyle video, lifestyles involve cooking and eating.
Off-Grid for rich People,,,,no sense.
you have become an Amazon saleswoman more than an outdoor offgrid woman,,,,,so sad, bye
off grid for people that worked hard....
Haha! Shows up with a name like "Rolls Royce" starts wealth-shaming people... LMFAO! Gotta love good irony!
Peasants can be off grid too! It’s called being homeless.
They work their asses off and have earned everything they have. So take your bad attitude elsewhere.
You must have missed the fact that Brandon built the boat himself. Rich in skills and love you SCHMUCK. Must suck to be so jealous you cant enjoy the beauty of the wilderness and two people in love.
Shes pretty also😮
